kiwi992: Hey Killayut, You are not haunted. Stop taking cheap drugs and you ll be fine. and if you go to BAKANA and say They are not Ijaws you might get shot. They wont insult you but Shoot you. You are one very unreasonable person. Facts of events have been posted to you to see and you are still being Myopic I am sure you do not even have any friend out side KALABARI so you are ignorant of others or you simply can not put things together to get a real view. Maybe due to the drugs you take. KALABARI was a town and am sure you know that punk. Elem ama was just a fishing port with only about 300 fishermen. Now are you saying 300 fisher men made a tribe when they were speaking the same language with the Bille, Okoloma and even Okrika , Minama, Kula, Ke,Soku, Tombia.. Now are you saying each of these towns I mentioned were Tribes of their own ? and how come they speak similar language with Nembe, Oruama and Kolokuma ? Your dad was a reasonable man. You better be reasonable too or perhaps the drugs you take have messed your brain up. |

HISTORY OF THE KALABARI PEOPLE.....AN ACCOUNT NEVER TOLD NOR HEARD.....MORE LIKE A COLOUR NEVER SEEN. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IT IS MY SINGULAR HONOUR TO INTRODUCE TO YOU ALABO KIWI BEREPIKI, THE BEARER OF THE TRUE AND SACRED HISTORY OF THE NON-IJAW KALABARI PEOPLE (I PRAY IT ISN'T POINTING TOWARDS IGBO TOO) (APPLAUDS) |

alj harem: it's funny how Kiwi996 disappeared after asking him the question Its easy to find out. Go to Buguma and ask different families their origin and you'll get different stories. Some claim Efik, some Ijaw and some Igbo. Asari for example is rooted in Abam,Abia State. There are also descendants of freed slaves or slave traders themselves as well as Sierra-leonians and other foreigners. |
Re: Kalabari People! by Nobody: 1:18pm On Feb 18, 2013 |
Abagworo: You are fukking senseless. No family claims anything besides Ijaw and Buguma is not even 1/10 of KALABARI. Every one in Minama, KE, ANGULAMA, SANGAMA,KRAKRAMA, SAMA, OPOROAMA, IFOKO, TEMA, KULA, IDAMA, ABISSE,TEMA, IDO, TOMBIA is IJAW.. yes there are slaves we call Omoni awome in Buguma and ABONNEMA and cos we have Igbo slaves does not mean KALABARI is Ijaw. the SUBJECT IS KALABARI and not Migrant people in to KALABARI.And there is no one single Efik in KALABARI. The Efiks were called MBOKO and were only used as sacrifice to WOYINGI and a big taboo to have any thing to do with them . |

Re: Kalabari People! by Abagworo(m): 4:17pm On Feb 18, 2013 |
killayut: I don't have issues with ethnicity chosen by Kalabaris because it is their choice but you cannot wish away the truth by making derogatory remarks against a people. I have no blood relationship with Kalabari but I actually have blood relationship with Ijaw as my paternal grandmother (my Dad's mother) is from Bayelsa. Anything I've written is based on questions I asked my Kalabari friends. I do pay regular visit to Buguma. That said. I'm off this thread. |

Abagworo: Shut up and just leave here. If you have ever been to Buguma you d know the people speak Ijaw dialect unless you also do not know Ijaw you fool.. we say Bo and that is Ijaw ? DID BUGUMA people not say Tobara to you ? Is Tobara Igbo ? Have you not heard of Ibiere BEFORE ? Does the word KALABARI sound Igbo to you ? Daft like you do not learn untill you are slaughtered like how BOKO HARAM is doing to you. KALABARI people are Ijaw people . Get that and get lost. 1 Like |

oturugo: Kiwi's case is pathetic because he claims my very own family and still argued with me when he does not even know anything about the family he claimed. Its like telling me that my dad is white when I know my dad is black . That was why I got silly with him . He is an Obvious Igbo man whose parents my great grand dad adopted. That 's how they behave. |
Re: Kalabari People! by kiwi992(m): 3:11pm On Feb 20, 2013 |
Hey Killayut, I quote: Godly Hear this: 1. When you resort to insulting people instead of arguing your case in a logical and coherent manner, it shows a great weakness on your part. Most of all, you are creating unseen enemies for yourself. 2. When you resort to trying to shout others down - it shows you are a bully. 3. When you fail to accept other people's opinion, (and instead, agree to disagree with them), rather than wanting to shove your views down their throats, it shows that you don't know the true meaning of free speech and independence of thought. 4. When you make false and malicious allegations, or utter careless statements verging on threats, it shows that you haven't given any serious thought to the legal consequences of your utterances or indeed, the repercussions thereof. Sadly, you think that the Internet affords you complete annonimity, which it doesn't. You could easily be traced right to your doorstep or place of work, no matter where you are in this world. Amazing isn't it? Well you better believe it. 5. When you make claims about your family background here or elsewhere, you fail to realise that you could easily be probed, found out and exposed. 6. When you are a member of a Forum, such as Nairaland, but has never left the Culture section, to make any meaningful contribution on other threads for the betterment of this Forum, it shows your serious lack of knowledge. Do checkout my posts on the following threads: a) About SAP b) Pilot Career c) Computers (Networking), to name but only a few. 7. When you write long sentences without paragraphs (as you do), it shows your very low level of eduction. Learning how to break sentences with paragraphs is one of the very first things that you get taught in primary school. Have you ever given thought to the fact that your long postings without paragraphs do give people a headache? I don't think that you have. 8. When you constantly write in capital letters in an attempt to make your point, shows that you lack Internet etiquette. It means you are constantly shouting. Did you know that? 9. When you write Kalabari words the way the Ijaws would have spoken and written them, means you are an Ijaw in disguise. 10. When you don't show respect to people, on the Internet or elsewhere, it means you've got a lot to learn in life and that you are still raw in the flesh. I'm really sorry to say but, all your actions here show that you are frustrated, never lived amongst people of a different race (or tribe), intolerant of others and lack good manners. Most of all, everything on this thread points to the fact that you are most unhappy in your life, a tribalist and a bigot that wishes to drag everyone down to your lowly level. Insults and disrespect aside, why don't you tell us about your family background? Eh? Tell us who you really are, your true name, parents' name, brothers and sisters. I'm determined to spread my fillers to check you out. Everybody here knows that my name is IBIDUO C.I. BEREPIKI. I don't hide my name or family background - I have no need to. I'm a blood brother to Lolo, Otonye, Dagogo, Lali, Tokini and Olobo Berepiki, who all live in Nigeria, except Lali and Olobo. You will never, ever meet a true Berepiki and an Iyalla in your life. I understand that you lived in Iyalla's compound for a while, question: what is your connection with the Iyallas? Go on, please tell us right here. I've already told you mine. You say your mum is a Berepiki - Abite Berepiki, according to you. A name that I don't ever recall. Prove it by telling me in detail as to how you are related to the Berepikis. By the way, my grandad was Chief Iwo Daso Berepiki, with a family in Bakana and Kula. Oh yeah, I know all of his children as well (my uncles and aunties). I can easily verify what you say here with my brothers and sisters in Nigeria. I tell you what - I honestly think that you are an Ijaw. Nothing wrong with that mind, but the way you spell the Kalabari words point to the fact that you truely are an Ijaw man, just like others have commented about you on this thread. Most of all, there is no Berepiki out there that would ever make such a spectacle of himself (or herself), as you constantly seem to do here. Hey - have you noticed that I have not uttered a single word of insult at you. Instead, I've made my points as clearly as possible. Now, I want you to answer me in like manner. Answer all the points that I have raised here, in the logical order that they are set in. Most of all, prove to us as to who you truly are. I've got my brothers and sisters in Nigeria, waiting to check you out and verify the facts. I've thrown down the gauntlet and ready to reply to you, if you behave yourself and put insults aside. I want to see as to how well you could express yourself in pure and simple Queens English in arguing every single point that I have raised here. Your logical reasoning, spelling and punctuation would be judged. Any attempt to deviate from the parameters of this challenge and I'll ignore you completely. OK? No one-liner of an answer to hide your shortcomings either. Indeed, I'll be out of this thread if you think you can change the subject. Let's see the level of your education, intelligence and maturity, never mind anchoring yourself in the Kalabari People thread and never venturing outside of your comfort zone being the Culture sub-section. If you were to go into politics (as you are aspiring to, with the Ijaw agenda of yours) you would argue your points with your political opponents, wouldn't you? You aren't going to insult fellow MPs, are you? Go on then. I'm waiting. Answer every point I've raised here, blow by blow. I want to see your mental capacity in being able to hold a discussion without shouting and screaming, and with self control. kiwi992. 2 Likes |

Hell Sir Abiduo Berepiki a.k.a kiwi992, It is really good to have you back with us again, we thought we've lost you In as much as i don't support 'name calling' and use of foul words against others, I humbly urge you sir, to take up your personal issues with your dear cousin (Tom Alabraba a.k.a Killayut) thru' a more appropriate channel so as not to deviate from the topic of this thread or turn it to a 'personal battlefield', maybe dial him up, use e-mail, or summon a mini family meeting in the UK or canada where he resides. I assume you've read all the posts since your last comment/visit, so I'm sure you know the direction we're heading towards. Someone asked why you believe Kalabari people aren't a subgroup in the Ijaw nation (not just political affiliates), and soon afterwards I gave you a 'grotesque' introduction for you to "come on stage" to teach us the "sacred & untold" history of the Kalabari people that made them not connected in any way with the Ijaws historically & culturally. But you never showed up (maybe you were busy & couldn't come online before now). As a Warri boy, I will say "you fall my hand like Awilo mama bréast". No one is a monopoly of knowledge, we're all here to learn. Fellow kalabaris, non-kalabaris and indeed non-niger deltans alike are following this thread hoping to learn about the kalabaris. Sir, we hope you will tell us your side of the story so that we may learn from you also. My highest regards 'Opudaubo'!!! |

IjawCitizen, You seem to forget that I wasn't the one that showed disrespect to Killayut. He did, considering that I don't know him from Adam or Eve. His postings here prove his total lack of respect for anybody that disagrees with his point of view, sadly. I've thrown down a gauntlet at him, and I'm awaiting his full response. Re your question - I'd advice you to seek a Kalabari person in Warri or Benin and ask the one this simple question 'are the Kalabaris Ijaws or not?' I guarantee you that they'd tell you exactly what I've been saying here - that the Kalabaris are NOT Ijaws. You can then ask them the reason as to why. Better still, go to Port Harcourt or any of the Kalabari towns and ask them. Sorry but I don't need to go into any further detail about this. kiwi992. |

kiwi992: Hey Killayut, Yet again you are ranting out of point. I Explained KALABARI words to you for you to see the Ijaw in them and even posted links showing Kalabari YOUTHS as Ijaw youths and you still bluntly refused to accept. You do not even know what KALABARI is and how KALABARI became a Kingdom. I went ahead to explain the Meino owei Connection and you still could not get it. Now if you also understand the meaning of your name you d know you are an Ijaw man. The name IBIDUO you are so proud of is an Ijaw word which should be Ebiduo or EBIDOU which means good achievement or Good need. You keep questioning me about my Berepikiness. And all the Berepiki people you mentioned are run away BEREPIKI souls. Non of them ever reached BEREPIKI family or POLO when they get home. LOLO does not even have a home in Berepiki and the others have never stepped their feet there before too. I'll never tell you the name of my mom . You just go ahead and find out but the late Lowell and Filmore were my mom's only brothers of same father . Iyalla POLO is not eldorado so there is no need telling you about my Iyalla connection. I am not an Iyalla But a Briggs .My dad is from ABONNEMA . My Mother's mother is half Joe Jim in Bakana and Half Jackrich in Buguma so you can see I am a powerful perfect Bona fide KALABARI MAN . Now as a Bakana man I know every nook and corner of Bakana and know every thing about Bakana. IYALLA people are not KALABARI people but Tombia people. Incase you do not know , TOMBIA is not KALABARI but an Ijaw clan that formed alliance with King AMAKIRI to wage war against Bonny . Iyalla broke away from Tombia and joined IGBANIBO to rebel against AMAKIRI that led to the founding of BAKANA. Now that is another piece of history you do not Know.. Yet BEREPIKI IS ALSO NOT A KALABARI family but are of KULA . Kula was also not KALABARI but an Ijaw enclave of its own that also formed alliance with AMAKIRI. The Berepiki was the warrior that also broke away from KULA to join Igbanibo in the war against AMAKIRI. You love Igbo people does not mean you d rubbish the history of a people to impress the Igbos. I do not hate or despise the Igbos but I hate their guts. They are senseless and very unreasonable. 1 Like |

kiwi992: IjawCitizen, Mr Man Kiwi. You do not ask mad people sensitive questions or ask ignorant people sensitive questions. The average KALABARI MAN IS STUPIDLY PROUD AND IGNORANT OF EVERY THING. You can see how deplorable your BAKANA is even when it is just 5 minutes by Boat to BAKANA. Now tell me how many communities on earth that would be so close to an urban area and be so underdeveloped like BAKANA. Ask a BAKANA MAN in PH if he s gone to BK before and he d say menn Me I no dey go Village. Now do you ask such fools any sensitive question ? A people who are all like you. unreasonable, self hating, self despising, full of low self esteem and primitively proud. A people who speak Ijaw an Ijaw dialect saying Bo, Suo, Te bara, having Ijaw deity AS IN woyingi, whose name KALABARI is an Ijaw name But who still do not know their origin. I was once like that until I found the truth. It is not late for you bro. Ask your Caribbean black neighbors in the UK about their African root and hear what they say. THE EARLY black Caribbeans were proud to be AFRICANS but the later ones are not. Enough said. |

Killayut, So much for your answer to my many questions. Haha... You still haven't proved anything to me. I seriously question the level of your education and intelligence. Perhaps you should point out to me as to where you've made any meaningful contribution to this Forum. I have - go to 'About SAP', 'Piloting' 'Computers - Networking' threads. You say that you are related to the Berepikis, yet you can't go into any detail to prove it. Good try... You could have fooled me. Do me favour will you? Prove to us the level of education that you've got and show us where you've made any meaningful contribution to the betterment of this Forum, to help other Nigerians, instead of coming here to constantly harp on about the Ijaws. Now I know - you are from Abonnema as opposed to Bakana. Alabraba...haha.. TOM ALABRABA Anyway, like I said to you, I wouldn't waste my time answering your posts. I threw down a gauntlet at you, you couldn't rise to it. Going round and round in circles, trying to change the subject. You lived in Iyalla's compound - so bloody what? Does that make you an Iyalla? Nope! You should be so lucky, haha... What makes me laugh the most is when you write Kalabari words in Ijaw. That's a joke isn't it? Listen man, go get yourself a decent education or forever keep doing those cheap jobs in Canada. Your anger and frustration in life is showing in all your postings in this Forum. Perhaps it's time to leave Canada and pursue Ijaw politics in Nigeria, to see if that's going to get you into office. I doubt it very much though. Amazing isn't it? Someone that's supposed to live in Canada - with such hatred of other Nigerian tribes, as if he's never faced racism in his life. So very sad. kiwi992 NB: Looks like you are not able to read and comprehend previous postings. Did I ever mention John Ekwe Duke? Did I? Did I ever mention Sokunoma's compound did I? Did I mention LongJohn's compound, did I? Well that's where my mum originates. Oh yeah, she died when I was very young. Bob Sogules' late mum and my mum went to school together in Bakana. |

I don't hide my name because I have nothing to fear. Can we say the same thing about you? I doubt it very much, being that you have condescended to denying your own name. Re: Kalabari People! by Nobody: 9:53pm On Feb 20, 2013 |
kiwi992: Hey Killayut, The Issue is . KALABARI people are Ijaw people and kalabari is KALA meaning little which is an Ijaw word and BARI gift which is also an Ijaw wqord. And KALABARI was the name of a man called PEREBO KALABARI.. PEREBO simply MEANS Leader or ruler where Peremeans king and BO simply means person . A pure Ijaw expression. He was born by MEIN OWEI who was from KOLOKUMA that migrated to a place called OBU AMA FA. Now that was the progenitor of the Elem ama people. There were numerous Ijaw clans at that time that have existed 100s of years before Mein Owei came to Obu Amafa and they are such as KULA, KE, MINAMA, SOKU, IDAMA, IFOKO, TOMBIA, ANGULAMA, KRAKRAMA and so on. Who on earth is going to take you seriously, now that everyone knows you are too afraid to reveal your true self. Go on, tell me. I dare you to tell me your real name if it's not Tom Ijawman Alabraba. Check me out in the UK - I am Ibiduo C. I. Berepiki. As clean as a weasle, haha... Never been in trouble with the law, unlike you, and much too happy to reveal my true identity. You know what? I can smell a rat for the mere fact that you are denying your name, worst still, for your refusal to tell us who you really are. Tell us your name here and let us check you out in Canada. Sod this Ijaw business of yours. You are scared, else you'd have been much too happy to tell us your name which everyone here knows is nothing but bloody TOM ALABRABA of Abonnema. An un-educated and frustrated illegal immigrant that's living in Canada and most probably running away from the law for some illegal activities. You think everyone is as bent as you are, don't you? One who can not string together a simple sentence in English. Go get yourself some education or forever clean the toilets in Canada. I challenge you to tell me what your real name is, if actully you are not Tom Alabraba of Abonnema. Go on, tell us. I challenge you. Hey you - WHAT IS YOUR REAL NAME? Why are you scared? Why? Afraid that you'd be found out, right? Some bloody crook that thinks everyone is like him. Effing bloody nutter. You would be, when I've bloody finished with you. If you are not Tom Alabraba, then you are an Ijaw. The words you use are pure Ijaw words. Go on, be a man, tell us who you are or forever shut your gob. Don't run away. Come back here and reveal your real identity to us. Oh yeah, stop making futile attempts at trying to change the subject. I told you that you are daft, didn't I? I threw a long piece of rope at you for you tie yourself in a noose. You fell for it. Now, I'm slowly unleashing my venom on you. Tell us your real name and I'll prove to everyone here that you've got a string of offences and most likely running away from the law in Canada. My younger brother Olobo lives in Canada. kiwi992: IjawCitizen,That is very true, sir. I just feel I shouldn't be the judge in your misunderstanding with your dear cousin. That is why I've proffered solutions as to how you guys can meet and discuss as relatives kiwi992: His postings here prove his total lack of respect for anybody that disagrees with his point of view, sadly. I've thrown down a gauntlet at him, and I'm awaiting his full response.I truely can feel both your pains; The anger and astonishment of someone imposing "something you don't like" on you on one hand, & The disappointment and frustration of a FEW refusing to learn and accept proven truths on the other hand. This is more of a 'Copernicus situation' here; with reference to his trial. kiwi992: Re your question - I'd advice you to seek a Kalabari person in Warri or Benin and ask the one this simple question 'are the Kalabaris Ijaws or not?' I guarantee you that they'd tell you exactly what I've been saying here - that the Kalabaris are NOT Ijaws. You can then ask them the reason as to why. Better still, go to Port Harcourt or any of the Kalabari towns and ask them.I grew up in Warri knowing families and guys like Mr. Davies Omoni (kalabari) Mr. Brown (Ibani) Mr & mrs Kuro (Okrika) Mr & mrs Beredugu (Nembe) Medinus family from Bonny etc. We were so close that we seem to be family. Mr Omoni is the one who is so keen to hear my mum speak her Tobu dialect while he would give us the kalabari version and of course, his Kalabari Ijaw makes us laugh. It was really fun having him around. Same with my dad who is from the Mein speaking Territory. Mr Omoni was also the one who helped in evacuating my family during the Warri crisis when my dad was out of the country. We were all astonished hearing our different versions of ijaw language. These and other encounters with these guys broadened my scope of Ijawland from a very early age and ignited Ijaw nationalism in me kiwi992: Sorry but I don't need to go into any further detail about this.Evidently sir, you seem not to have made your research on your own kalabari people yet, but rather, have been socializing with too many igbo people. From all the points you've raised, I can convenient infer that you're more of an igbo man even if you have Ijaw ancestry. All your points about kalabari not being Ijaw is directly from the bigotted igbo's imagination. Just like Jaja who "became" an Ijaw man and waged war against Ngwa Igbos. |

[quote author〓killayut] You love Igbo people does not mean you d rubbish the history of a people to impress the Igbos. I do not hate or despise the Igbos but I hate their guts. It is only igbo people people that have been making this allegation against Ijaws, and critically I don't see any reason why an Ijaw man should envy or hate Igbo because they are not better than us in any way despite the underdevelopement and marginalization perpetuated in our lands. We may be sensitive to misconceptions spread against Ijaws by all our neighbours but a typical Ijaw man is never a chauvinist unlike Kiwi's Igbo people. Despite all the attrocities of the igbos on ijaw land, no ijaw man has ever said that igbos hate ijaw people. Yet, these same igbos would go about shouting everywhere that ijaw people hate us, ijaw people betrayed us ijaw people are denial artisists and all sorts of noises. Pls lets forget about all these çhildish rantings of the Igbos and focus on the topic of discussion, Kalabari People! |

Hi IjawCitizen, Can I ask you to please leave this Ijaw business alone. I'm weary of it. I have no issues with the Ijaws. OK? I was going to marry one (check my earlier posts), so, please leave it. I have Ibo friends, same as I've got Yoruba, English, Indian, Pakistani and Chinese friends. People are people and I don't care about the one's tribe, race, colour or creed, as long as the one and I get on. By the way, I'm waiting for that impostor of TOM ALABRABA of Abonnema to rear his head here and I'll finish him off. I'm still waiting for him. In fact, I hereby wager £25,000. If he could find any black mark on my name in all the years that I've lived in the UK, he gets £25,000 from me. Yes, I'll pay him £25,000, just a verifiable proof is all I need. I bet he could not say that about himself could he? Nope, nope, nope! The bloody crook. On the other hand, if he ever comes back here to tell us his real name and prove his credentials, I'll engage a Private Investigator in Canada to check him out. I WILL prove to everyone here that Tom Alabraba is, indeed, a criminal and an illegal immigrant. I know he's got a string of offences as long as my arms. Yet another gauntlet I've thrown down at him. I hope he takes the bait. The fool! kiwi992. |

Yabe IjawCitizen, That bloody crook of Tom Alabraba is most definitely NOT my cousin. OK? He is an impostor. Anyone that's directly related to me would never, ever, behave the way that he had behaved towards me. None, whomsoever. This thread was where he started his mis-behaviour, and this is where it would end and I'm ready to take it as far as it would go. When one goes on with the one's self, unnecessarily attacking others on the Internet, the one is creating unseen enemies for the one's self. He's already made himself an enemy of mine. He's decided to run off because he can not take the heat anymore. Some nutter that thinks everyone takes drugs like he does, hence quick to accuse others of it, without ever having set his eyes upon the one that he is accusing of drug taking or indeed, having a shred of evidence to prove it. A bloody plunker that's afraid of his criminal activities and immigration status in Canada being dug up, hence has decided to run away from this thread that he's been trawling for years and years, pushing his Ijaw agenda. Tom Alabraba, you better get ready 'cos I'm on your case. I'll come after you in Canada once you've got the balls to reveal your true identity to us. Be rest assured, I bloody would. Why ever start a fight if you can not finish it? Why be cheeky to someone if you haven't got the balls to face the one? Why? He's awaken a sleeping giant and I'm ready to take the fight to him. He would be sorry by the time I'd finished with him. Remember, I'd been patient with him all along, biting my tongue, expecting him to see reason, but would he? Nope! kiwi992. |
