Well, i think i appreciate the Op's effort to analyse and predict the voting pattern. However, i think he got a number of things wrong. Buhari will lose heavily in Imo and Rivers, GEJ will win by narrowly in lagos and even Ogun. Let it be on record i said it, if the election holds GEJ will still win not by a wide margin but narrowly and not even by rigging.
Oshimole has lost respect

...Honest Idea...I dont think Buhari will even win Lagos, Imo, Rivers, and some Northern state.
Lets not heat up the polity but pray for Gods Messiah for this nation.

Mr . O.P , pls remove Imo and rivers from states that will be won by Buhari and replace with Ogun, Ekiti and Kwara.

Jonathan will win Rivers and Imo states clearly but the APC governors will win those states.

ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN IN ANY STATE BUT I SEE IT AS A FUTURE IMPOSSIBLE TENSE TO SAY THAT BUHARI WILL WIN IN RIVERS STATE. HIS CAMPAIGN CHIEF WHO IS THE GOVERNOR IS NOT EVEN SURE OF. HANDING THE STATE TO AN APC GUBER LET ALONE. TO BUHARI.

lol buhari win in rivers state?? if he gets up to 5% in rivers state then he did very well. Its the gubernatorial election in rivers state that may go either ways..
I see Buhari getting more than 20% of vote in rivers and imo because his party has structure in those state. Tho GEJ might win those state but he might not get the huge margin like in 2011.

This writer doesn't know his job well.

I don't expect Buhari winning Rivers and Imo. However he will surely win the following states which he failed to include:

1. Kwara

2. Adamawa

3. Nassarawa

Ondo, Ekiti and Kogi are also possible for GMB.

GEJ is winning Adamawa easily, and very likely Nasarawa too.

He will likely lose in Kwara sha, and would not do as much as he did last time in Kogi.

He will win in Ekiti, Ondo and Oyo States. Lose in Osun while both candidates would be close in Lagos and Ogun

I wont bet on imo and rivers, infact i feel buhari has a better chance in edo than those two states, the Op left out Kwara and Nassarawa .

Am a corper serving @ Edo state and I can authoritatively tell you that Oshimole has lost the respect of the Edo people. From my interactions with the Edo people atleast not less than 70% is voting for Jonathan. I won't be surprise if PDP takes Edo state in gubernatorial next year. No propaganda.

Nonsensical speculation!
So GMB should win all APC states? Why not include Edo state as one of the states where GEJ will lose as it's an APC state like Rivers?
GEJ won in Lagos in 2011 even though it's an APC state why should he lose now?
After March 28, all speculation, permutation and combination will cease.
Let's wait and See

Jonathan would win with Ease in Imo and Rivers States, because of tribal and religious sentiments. But APC would win the Gubernatorial elections in both states (i.e Rochas and Dakuku).

Why una dey misyarn like this? So Buhari winning in Sokoto and Yobe states has nothing to do with tribal and religious sentiments?

Jonathan's votes has reduced from what it was in 2011. This is the reason why Jonathan might lose if he does not rig this election.

President Jonathan beat Buhari with over 10 million votes last time. Wia is it reducing to enough for Buhari to win this time??

Buhari won Adamawa in 2011. What will make him lose there in 2015?

GEJ might just nick Ekiti and Ondo but definitely not Oyo. I am from Oyo state, so I know what I'm talking.

GEJ won't get 40% in Ogun snd Lagos. Bookmark this thread.

This post is not valuable since the statistics are mainly on religion. The OP is wrong about states like Kogi, Taraba and Adamawa in the other thread where he said Buhari may lose. Because he lost the last time does not really mean he will lose again. He has improved his followership insignificantly since the last election and to say Buhari will lose in Kogi due to the large population of christians there is wrong. Kogi state has more muslims than christians and the imcubent governor of the state is already contributing to the impending huge loss for the PDP. The state's university is currently on strike, the 21 local governments has no chairmen, the Capt. Wada administration has refused to pay the WAEC registeration fee for students this year, state's civil servants have not been paid salaries for the past 7 months and their resignation letters were rejected by the state government, the governor has not built a single bridge in the state since he came into the government hous 3 years ago. The people of the state will definetly collect their rice and tubars of yam, but we will vote whom we want this time around.

The rigging of then, when Buhari didn't even have agents in many polling units, cannot be repeated this time.

Secondly, GMB will get more than 60% of SW votes this time around. In 2011 he didn't get 30%.

Buhari will win most northern states by wider margin now than in 2011.

GEJ cannot increase his win margins in SS and SE this time around because they declared the maximum possible figure in 2011 already.

PDP/GEJ are not running helter skelter for nothing. All of these they already know.

I laugh when some PDP supporters term Buhari as a dictator who hates freedom of speech, not knowing that GEJ is worse.

Remember PROFESSOR WOLE SOYINKA termed corruption a certain name. Yes! I can remember, that name starts with an 'H' and ends with an 'S'
IT IS A 7 letter word. The monster destroying our nation. It is called -------

I dare not call it, else I get automatic ban from Nairaland.

Ever wondered why that name didn't go viral on social media after a short while? Yes, that was done by our own C-in-C (Corruption-in-Chief of the armed robbers you said you want to vote for. YOU DARE MENTION IT, THEN YOU GET BANNED FROM SOCIAL MEDIA!!!

Yes! The word is hydro+pus =

Complete it and get banned instantly, courtesy, GEJ, the DICTATOR!!!

You got it wrong here again. Rivers and Imo states are no sure states for Buhari. Besides, Rochas is not sure of getting his state back. That the states are governed by APC governors aint a reason. The Imoliyes are not on the side of Okorocha. For Rivers, it is a sure place for Jonathan as APC are on the defensive side in Rivers. The youths that make things happen to PDP guys and APC has no say there.

I am from Rivers state and a card carrying member of APC. I can confirm that Jonathan will win Rivers state resoundingly. Do not forget that the Ijaws in Rivers state constitute close to 55% percent of the voting strength. The Ijaws will not leave Jonathan and vote Buhari. Mark my word, Buhari will lose Rivers state.

This op is the laziest political analyst i have come across on Nairaland. How can he predict that Buhari will win in Imo and Rivers states. Has he had any form of interaction with voters from those states. If APC allows for equitable distibution and collection of PVCs in Lagos state, Jonathan will win Lagos without a doubt. Ogun state is a toss up. Oyo is still open for grabs.Same goes for Jigawa.
