@CaptainUS,
My Respect. One Love.
Very Long Time Indeed.

@Dorg3
Splitter is from 1 LNB to multiple receivers.
In your case you want multiple receivers to multiple TVs:
Answer: Dump all signals on an Rf network which feeds all TVs.

@ All
Lyngsat just placed multitv beam to Nigeria. Na waa for those guys ooh abi they want make multitv tell us say the beam to us is a pirate. Why am saying this is because multitv has never mention the sale of their boxes outside ghana.
Dstv new HD decoder is not bad at all. But the funny thing is the way they tried to convert it to dual view system using multi-switch and an extra SD decoder. Men is funny no b small,all in the name of HD dual view. HD fever don dey catch our paytv one by one. Who's next?

@Twinstaiye,
BUT for daarsat, let me share my experience. i put the daar freq 11555v30000 into strong and faced west, what i got was nss7. So i now input daar 2nd freq 11675v30000 and could not hit green, but i noticed that at a point that as move the dish the signal level (though RED) increases. So i decided to lock the dish in that position and now connect my cable to daar box and input the freq. Knowing fully well that is mpeg4, under freq edit menu, i switched to dbs2 8QKP and viola, the signal jumped out. Clicked on scan , the stations rolled in.
I use the same method to get multi tv yesterday. I should have done the same when I didnt hit green a day before. I intend to give daarsat a trial this weekend with same method, but by a way of fixing another lnb on my 2.4M dish facing nilesat.

Hello, greetings to every member of this great and wonderful forum, am so delighted to b a member of this forum. Yesterday, after upgrading my starsat receiver, the art channels on nilesat were ok, but most of the showtime channels remained scrambled only few were showing. the orbit channels also remained scrambled. i think showtime and orbit are gradually moving from away 4rm nilesat.

Funny How these days any cool thing that comes up appears to be on MPEG4. When are we going to get an MPEG4 receiver for less than 80 USD?

Sorry i am replying late. I actually have never laid my eyes on the Multi-TV box.
Still think its way too expensive.

Do u still get SABC 1,2,3 at 62E on c-band? If yes how is the reception?

@ecowas4all,
I think you should try and get the multi-tv box. Seems all new stations now are going MPEG4.
It may look expensive for now but believe me when the news starts going round about the
goodies of multi-tv and the fact that you can use it for other new stations, the price may
sky-rocket.
Same advice goes for those in Nigeria. The daarsat box could be your chance of positioning
yourself for the impending HD/MPEG4 race.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 5:40pm On Aug 13, 2009
@sayso,
No problem. Just install and enjoy. You can call me if you have any issues.

@blexxonmak,
Good job there. I got those mentioned stations on intelsat 10-02 two days back
on blindscan. I also used daarsat to open them. I think the rule now is whenever
one does a scan and notices that some stations are only audio with no video, it's
a fair assumption that they are on mpeg4. To confirm, output the signal through
any available mpeg4 decoder and the pictures should come out.

@spaceman,
Yes, o! Igbadun dey for muiti-tv o! grin We hope the enjoyment will spread round
soon enough.

All, after about 5hrs in Alaba Inter. wit d help of a paid escort I was able 2 nail one rugged lookin tokunbo LG Sky Life HD decoder. After paying d guy who said I could find d remote around d corner,men spent anoda hr lookin 4 d remote. I din't get it. wel after powering it on korean language was what greeted me. without a remote I can't change d language menu 2 english, I quickly called Linksman who promised to fish out d remote 4 me. finaly I powered d thing a again and started feedling with d buttoms infront of d decoder and praying silently dat a miracle shud happen dat wil change d language 2 english, it was as if God was watching me at dt time and d nex thin dt happened was indeed a miracle.Tank God I finaly changed it to english. got to were d menu was and was about to go to satellite setup d thin started asking for Sky password, witout d remote I cannot key in d password, i got stucked. wel from wat am seeing I hop is not like Ds thief V that u can't use for free to air.

@pitodenz,
Don't mind those people. I'm sure they can't try that nonsense. Multi-tv is still singing 'free for life' so their
is no way rubbish etv can influence them to lock their signal like they did to us. My only concern is the
pirate commercial installers who browse this thread everyday. Very soon daarsat decoder will become scarce
in the market by the time news spreads that one can use it to watch multi-tv free for life. They come here
and pick up useful information and go into town to install for people for a profit and they will never post or
bother to register on NL.

Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by Jesude: 7:29pm On Aug 13, 2009
@okenze2003 which of the MBC are u talking about (MBC Nilesat) or W3A MBC, Deeper frequency can be gotten at 11030 H 3209 and MBC in W3A can be gotten from (frequency 11192 V 3210),
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by GeorgeD1(m): 8:53pm On Aug 13, 2009
@olason,
The daarsat HD works with diseqc switch but I'm not sure about the blind scan that oga Twinstaiye is
talking about because mine does not have. Maybe he is confusing auto scan for that I don't know.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by sathob(m): 9:57pm On Aug 13, 2009
@George_D
please rescan and check your receiver for multi-tv to confirm additional channels on the same tp, I understand it's more than 10 now. probably you can perform auotscan too.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by niddle9(m): 9:58pm On Aug 13, 2009
@linksman
i APPRECIATE your call man you are really a link man.
Unfortunatly, it only required a tweaking for me to nail Olason's bird wey dey fly around Alaba int market. Who knows! I would've been in the HD/Mpeg4 family by now.
But i missed him. Then shooting around alaba without any green for good 6hrs.
@All, don't mind my HD flu o. Its the joy of Fta.
I'll try again by going with Oga Olason, he know's Sky ways at alaba!.
