captainus:

@Spacevice
The 2m at  w6 is the one for national grid.In fact the only difference between 2m national and 2m monde(on atlanticbird3 cband) is the football shown on 2m national.So yes u can watch the game
@captainus

the frequency and s/r posted earlier for 2M(the logo that appears is 2M only, no 2M National or 2M Monde) on W6 is the same place i tracked to watch
the EPL games last season. am hearing of this national grid stuff the first time today. last
season i gave the tp's to another gh forum member, SIKADICIOUS (We weren't nairaland
members then)who also used it to watch the games(one match each week as well as tuesday
champions league games).With that tp i got 4 channels 2M, Arryadia 2 and two other scrambled
channels. Arryadia 2 only showed sports, mostly moroccan soccer, basketball, tennis etc.

Anyway lets keep our fingers crossed to see what will happen at the weekend.Thanks

Fellow Ghanaians, i just nailed w6 2M in the western region, using both 60cm and 80cm. 60cm gave me 48% and 80cm gave me 66%. Just try hard but make sure there is no obstacle in front with some distance.Have any one got the bird that will show liga, italia league on ku

@ blexx,
dem give u 'toto' u dey complain say hair no dey there. whether the LG skylife HD decoder can accept updates is not what is at stake here, it is its HD compliant, by the way what do we even use the updates for sef, so far it can work for HD, am ok with it, anyother function it hasnt got is of secondary importance to me.

The picture of CRTV I complained is not that its scrambled, it freezes for some few seconds continously.

I also noticed during my short stay in lagos during the weekend that al-jazeera on sirus is off, dont really know whats the matter with them.

Is the CRTV station controlled by JOY in Ghana? cos if they do, i wont be surprise if it go on HD very soon.

By the way, where on earth is ENIGMA?

@ olason,
just count me in on the search for HD decoders (fairly used), i will also advice if u can make a visit to westminster at APAPA, it seems fairly used electronic gadgets can be gotten there too, will be in lagos finally in about 2 weeks time, goodluck in your search.

@ paps,
for Italian serie A, there's a station on w3a at 7E, GO Africa, it showed the the just completed season of the league before they went off air during the period of the league, so I personally guess they will still continue with that trend now cos i heard they are back on that bird, but the problem is that they dont show their star matches like Inter vs AC.

unfortunately the dog was locked in its cage downstairs.It is now permanently on the loose.I got another Alsatian on Sunday.Thanks so much.I really appreciate it.I am leaving the politicians to their politics very soon.Guess what?I was invited to the Bauchi GH by a top aide of Gov. Yuguda whom I met in Abeokuta a fortnight ago.What do I do?One has to network with these people to make it in Nigeria.

all,
You can watch all the star matches of the Bundesliga on Dubai Sports,French ligue on Al Jazeera sport and other Nilesat sports channel.Premiership continues on 2M National on W6.

Enitan,

@ dejsam,
abeg, no mind me jare, at least any female here has already turned to a male, FTA is masculine in nature
@ toxbaba,
am just trying to tread in your footsteps, dont worry u will surely see me by then , I promise you. the reason i dont give a hoot about Xtian stations is that what new message do they intend to bring to me, am dead sure there's no one that will say he/she hasnt heard about who JESUS is, so what am clamouring for is that things that are not easily gotten should be shown to us all on satellite, u should understand the type of contents i meant.

@Paps1
good job done, nailing w6 on both dish sizes. With regards to the receiver update, pls. make sure u have software from trusted site and that u have, also, the right software version for your receiver – it’s a long time I heard “fried”. 4663x has some similarities with 4653x but the pvr, so you can try the ff.
unzip the file and load it on the flash drive
Insert the drive and then select menu on ur srt4663x remote
Select usb, confirm ok and select data transfer.
Confirm ok to open the pen drive and the select the update file and confirm ok.
At this period make sure the power supply to receiver is not turned off. The receiver will tell you that too.
When the update is done the receiver will reboot itself. And you r done!

@enitan
I wondered whether that word meant what it means in Ghana, and I think it's the same. I understand truly some people in Ghana migrated from Nigeria because of the similarities in words and meaning. you are tooooooooo bold grin grin
Even with my 98% signal quality my crtv sometimes crack. CRTV is owned by crown royal television network, it’s not part of the multi media package. They provide different packages one can subscribe to, starting from GH₵150.00.
Platinum pearl (35 channels), silver (45), platinum gold (60), diamond special (customised channel), diamond x’tra (tailor-made product), platinum titanium (150) and platinum diamond (up to 200 channels).
There is no monthly subscription and the package comes with free installation.
These are some of the channels in the platinum pearl package
Gospels
Day Star, Love World, DBN, Hope, Solid Rock, Emmanuel Tv

Sports
CRTV Sports, European Sports, African Championship, Sports Pro, Global Sports, e-sports and many more (in-fact, I don’t know these channels)

Movies & Entertainment
CRTV movies, TV 5, V-Africa, e-movies & many more

Real Lifestyle

CRTV Realities, Supreme Master, LC2, e-Showbiz and many more

The CRTV we are receiving is one of their proprietary channels.

@Spacevice, paps1,raw-unkat, Blackstar
If you have space, why not try badr 4/6 it’s pretty attractive. I’m bleeding inside to try those but space is limiting me now, though I live in a very big spacious house with clear east and west views. I encourage you all to try it.

@All,
I have been able to get an RCU (remote control unit) for my LG skylife HD receiver today from alaba international market. Funny enough the function bottons on the RCU are still in Japanese/Korean language shocked
Anyways, I am still determined to overcome this language barrier and see what this device can do.
I will definitely sort it out on or before this weekend. I am very busy this days with work.

@Olason,
sorry, I did not see your message on time. just reading it on the forum  now.

@Enitan,
thanks bro for the call. mighty kind of you.

@ Desjam
Thanks for the tp on badr. Yes i got all the 8 aljazeera sports but the good news is that most paytv in nilesat might migrate to badr. Then the bad news is that they were encrypted with 3 solid methods,namely VIACCESS,IRDETO and SKYCRYPT.
How on earth do we gonna hack this encryptions, jujucard,cococard,gammacard,anacondacard etc? Believe me all this card might go down at the kick of the season.
@ George
No mind mtn they think they can turn me off but now they ve turn me on. The thing the go like fire. Am back online with 3G connection let them hold the gprs well well. 3G ROCKS and that the latest for our backyard connection. Thanks for asking after me.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by Nobody: 11:28pm On Aug 11, 2009
@ pit,
the problem with the SAT-3 cable really affected the 'yhello brothers', but i switched over to the zain network and am beginning to enjoy it better than MTN.

@ okenze.
read past apges of this wonderful thread and all your questions must get solved

@ sammu,
by the way, concerning my nilesat installation, the contractor(which is me) in charge of the project is off with my money, so for now its an abandoned project for now. The fever on right now is HD/MPEG-4 receivers and am already in it.

@ paps,
thats to show you the kind of support all these francophone countries are getting from its colonial master FRANCE, we the anglo are too selfish in our dealing.
the paytvs are so lazy in getting more stations for the benefir of their viewers, they only take on whats up for the common man on FTA. take for instance, REUTERS the number one station in terms of news package should be free in sub-saharan part of africa for some months, it will now be then HITV/DSTV/MYTV or dopksat will know its high time they have it on their package, then they buy them off, same thing happened to CNBC africa

@ obnelly,
no qualms my brother, we dey 4 gether.

@ links,
we all in this together, no need thanking me at all.
