I get W3A in Accra. That bird is a bit elusive.  Keep trying, that is the spirit of FTA.

ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4A provides high-power Ku-band coverage of the Middle East, the Gulf countries and North Africa. The satellite, recently launched as Eutelsat’s HOT BIRD™ 10 satellite, is initially being commercialised at the 7 degrees West orbital position under the name ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4A. With the deployment of ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4A, Eutelsat has increased the number of transponders it operates at 7 degrees West from 15 to 26.

Operating alongside two Nilesat satellites also located at 7 degrees West, as well as complementing capacity on ATLANTIC BIRD™ 2 located nearby at 8 degrees West, ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4A enhances an orbital cluster that is already a key location, in particular for the Middle East direct-to-home (DTH) market. Eutelsat has been partnering with Nilesat at 7 degrees West since July 2006 when its ATLANTIC BIRD™ 4 satellite was copositioned with the Nilesat 101 and Nilesat 102 satellites. This constellation of three satellites at a single neighbourhood currently comprises 39 transponders, which transmit more than 450 television channels to an audience over 38 million homes.

Launch date: 12/02/2009
Launch details: Ariane 5 ECA
Satellite construction: EADS Astrium

fopros, good to read from you. Were you able to fix your fried decoder or you bought a new one.
as for W3A, the bird is very trickish just as said. But since you can track Sirius 4, you should get W3A as well. Follow George_D's advice. In addition you can also try with the following frequencies

1. free2view 12728 v 30,000 (you can also try H polarity)

2. malagasy 10976 v 3333

3. ariane 11063 v 1150

@all>> I'm very sorry that my posts are not frequent. Firstly, I've re-located from my base to Uyo. Secondly, I'm not that stable. For instance, I was on trips throughout last week: Uyo to Akure, AKR to Osogbo, back to AKR, AKR to Abuja, ABJ to Calabar and finally to Uyo. Thirdly, installation works that lead to discoveries are not available, at least for now. Nevertheless, I'll make sure that any development is contributed. Please, bear it with me. Thanks. @twinstaiye and maddoxoj>> Please, I've to publicly acknowledge the receptions, individually, you offered me. In the recent time, my last trip to ABJ was more of Ground Receptions. In fact, I couldn't have believed that my brother's wife can also cook pass some of the big fast-foods (names with-held) we have around. And you are the initiators of these goodies. I'm very appreciative of those gestures. Thanks so much. @all>> Oga twinstaiye is a big man. Even we have to respect him in abstract. You ask me why? You'll understand it better when you see him. Oga, my regards to madam.

Osef,
pls can you tell me the dish you used to get both sirius and w3? does it mean that you used one single lnb?
thanks
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by sammu(m): 4:02pm On Apr 16, 2009
osef, could you supply the frequency on which you got the sabc1,2,3 e t c on sirius. If it is on globecast platform then the keys may be different from what we used to know.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by osef(m): 4:04pm On Apr 16, 2009
@ fipro
yes I used only one lnbf for both. check past post on that ,it worked perfectly when you get w3 and adjust it by 0.5 on a 90cm dish.
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by twinstaiye(m): 4:06pm On Apr 16, 2009
@ Mr GEM
At that rate at which you are putting me on limelight here, I am sure everyone coming to Abuja would want my hospitality. You are merely using the ogbon yoruba for me, so that when next you come, my hospitality will surpass this one. I hear you, loud and clear  grin grin grin grin
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by NashFTA(m): 4:13pm On Apr 16, 2009
@Osef,
Are you sure SABC 1,2,3 etc. have surfaced on Sirius? Please let the house know of the parameters? What dish size are you using?
Re: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by osef(m): 4:28pm On Apr 16, 2009

IF SABC 1-3 IS ON SIRIUS 4 ANYONE CAN DIRECT THEIR DISH TO IT AND
BLIND SCAN THE
RECEIVER AND
I DOUBT IF IT
WILL CHANGE
KEY.I WISH I
CAN CHECK
THE EXISTENCE
OF THAT CHANNELS
ON THAT BIRD.
