We have always known power would drop of course. The fluke of the last 2 months was only due to the rains. Now they are gone, we are back to reality. That is not to say some parts in Nigeria have not been enjoying steady power then and now. |

d33types: Good..thats 2 out of?
Originally ,when you mentiom Niger Delta you mean delta, edo, cross river, akwa ibom, rivers, bayelsa states..
That was before the addition of abia and co..and was sorely because of small oil discovery.hence, they are only called that cos of their proximity to oil and to the original Niger delta ..it's a political term..
strictly speaking they're not part of Niger Delta.. You see deceit?now when oil is involved you forget you have nothing in common with the bini and urhobo people.. And since when did militants have bases in abia and imo states? Just think Mugu don't u knw every of those states have igbo speaking ppl in them? Those igbos in the states will always want to identify with Biafra when it comes true. Even ur foul self may want to when it happens. Just shut up already man, u knw nothing about the origin and history of Biafra. Ezi. |

If it was a random post then I hold no grudge against the post cos it may be actually true. The worrisome part is what she hasn't said, lol. Do they have a different colour of blood? Do they live longer than commoners? Do they have supernatural abilities? Do they also decay and turn to dust after death? Do they have a separate place in the afterlife where they reside?
This is what happens when some undeserving people feel entitled. They loose all sense and speak trash!

This is what we have been saying since. You cannot unilaterally take decisions that affect the economy in all ramifications without consulting the stakeholders extensively. This new government should worry every sensible Nigerian. Pls o u guys shud not take us back to 1983. Decisions cannot and should not be allowed to be taken by an old senile septuagenarian who knows little or nothing about current world economics and has refused to consult and heed advice of people who know what he doesn't. A better Nigeria I still pray for... Though we cannot continue to survive as a nation except a referendum is held on who still wants to be part if the entity called Nigeria or we go back to the original confederal system of government where the region's or states have much more autonomy and power than the centre. Enough said. |

By the end of today or tomorrow, one dullard will come on NTA and speak in his funny accent which I find hard to understand and order a probe into why it was allowed to happen, and blow hot air and go back to touring the world. And BH keeps becoming even more daring. Well, we in the south are watching keenly. Just a single confirmed case of BH in the south and this entity called Nigeria will be history. |

Ghandi12: I am worried this menace has defied all strategies. Annihilating them would have been the best and absolute solution but they have already permeated the fabric of the society that more tact approaches need to be evolved.
Obviously, killing them is not putting an end to their activities neither is the olive branch being offered them by the FG making them change their ways.
President Buhari needs to put BH and North-East as the most important issue in the nation. There can never be any meaningful progress if we continue having internal war of our people on our people. He has initiated some measures but cerebral approaches need to be developed, experimented and results constantly monitored.
People need to be told the truth - no one stepping on Nigerian soil is safe from possible attack from the new methods being adopted by the insurgents. They poisoned drinking water and suicide is nothing to them, they can poison food, and do much worse to anyone and anywhere in Nigeria. + Awareness should be serious and consequential. We need to stop deceiving ourselves - we all should panic as the threat is real from Maiduguri to Abuja to Lagos to Port-Harcourt. + Government should continue the friendly methods but care for and keep a good surveillance of those who are laying down their arms. + The popular motivations among the insurgents should be scientifically analyzed. These motivations must be diluted.
This is an opportunity to use all the budgeted Security Billions to equip and motivate security personnel especially those directly involved in NE and other troubled spots. Modern security is powered by technology and not human.
- All potential attack location should be put on security code red at least for the next 6 months - Heavy technology areal and ground monitoring should be adopted. - Nigeria Satellites or contiguous ones should be kept busy all over NE as long as necessary. - Millions of wireless cameras can be installed in less than two weeks all over strategic NE locations. 100s of movable control rooms for surveillance can be fabricated within 2 months. - 1000s of wireless alarm network system can be installed in strategic location connected to control rooms. - Security operatives trainings should be more technology driven than brawn powers. - Security operatives should be retrained, motivated and given all due benefits. - People who have no business at all being security operatives should be paid off immediately. - All reported threats from citizens should be assumed real, immediately investigated and no apology is required for false alarms. - Police stations and environs should be equipped with modern CCTV cameras, control rooms, alarm networks and other modern communication gadgets.

lastpage: I find it curious that the majority of posts on this thread are from Ibos.... and they are quick to condemn President BUhari for this dastardly bomb attack Some of these Ibos are even quick to ask him to resign, using this bomb attack as a justification! BUT THAT IS VERY STRANGE! Was it President Buhari that planted this bomb or was he the one that threatened to wreck havoc on the the Independence day celebrations in Abuja?
Or is it that those who have sworn that he would not enjoy his mandate, are the ones wrecking this havoc and using the same havoc to attack President Buhari?
Well, "The Witch cried yesterday,... and the Child died today! Who does not know that it is the witch that killed the child"? -- Yoruba Adage.
OHANEZE NDIGBO (whether the real one or the alternative one) has by itslef said it will WRECK HAVOC at the INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS IN ABUJA.
Below is a link to the artcle, as confirmed by Ohaneze itself.
https://www.nairaland.com/2634352/independence-day-uncovered-plots-wreck
Thus, l am of the opinion that the Ibos are the saboteurs of Nigeria and President Buhari needs to stop "playing nice" with these vipers! A child that says his mother will not sleep, should neither slumber nor sleep.
President Buhari, save this country from the new Boko-Ibo. They are sworn to derail your Government, at all cost.
Act Now .... of forever regret it. May the Labour of our Leaders like Gowon and Awolowo, never be in vain. A stich in time, save nine. Nuff said.

omenka: Some of these guys are so irritating. Haba. They complain about everything. Should 50 ministers be appointed from the SE for them to be satisfied?? There are 5 states in the zone and going by fair representation, if 36 ministers are to be appointed, only 5 would come from there. Now, only 21 names so far have been mentioned, each of them representing a different state, yet they complain!!! Should an Igbo man be appointed to represent a state from the North, West or any of the other zones?? They call Nigeria a zoo, next minute, they complain about appointments in the zoo!
It is utterly disgusting.
Just look at the other one throwing careless insults- go to his profile and look at his pic- an animal wouldn't live in that room!! Yet he insults everyone.
