Nice one op. Being an HR person myself, these are very true. then we hv those that lie on their CVs and incorporate all sorts into their CVs. Funny but evry little word on ur CV matters a lot at d graduate employee level. Be prepared to answer any questn that arises from it! For example, I hv writing as a hobby on my CV and behold the interviewer asked me stuff I've written about... If I hv any books to my name or in the works or any links, I gladly gave of course. I guess due to my vry strong communication skills, i was specifically requested for by one HR person in the coy cos dats whr I ended up. Be prepared! in one sentence.

Much as I partially subscribe to your idea of "criticizing religions" (though, to me, I see it more as an in-depth analysis), your position that all religions are invalid and that the tacit implication that we should all be atheists puts a taint on your position. Fact is, much as I have seen how much damage has been created in modern society in the name of religion, I can't ask anyone to abandon religion as a route to development and mental improvement. Let's face it, religion has had it's fair share of positive contributions to world peace and development.

However, I do support a critical analysis of religion by everyone who chooses to adhere to one; if not for anything, then to make it much more difficult for religious charlatans to bamboozle them with false theories whose only end is to line private pockets or use gullible people as their willing but unwilling slaves.

Unfortunately, the very same religious charlatans have used fear to create a godlike image of themselves and put themselves beyond examination. Touch not my anointed and all that. I have always said that critical analysis of religion can only produce two outcomes: a strengthening of faith when your analysis exposes further truths in religion and shines a light on existing falsehoods or a change of faith when there's a personal realization of a religion's inconsistencies.

Admittedly, a lot of religious dogmas are human constructs but therein lies the possible solution that a critical analysis would provide: recognize the charlatan and rejects his attempts to hoodwink you. Not wholesale dumping the religion because of a bad egg or two. That would amount to tossing the baby out with the bathwater.

Contrary to the erroneous believe that APC won the last election due to Nigerians' disenchantment with Jonathan's administration, the following were the underlining factors that led to Buhari's victory;
1. The North desperately wanted power back to their base and having realised such feat could not be effected through PDP (with the party sticking with a Southerner, who was the sitting president), they decided to pitch tent with the then opposition as a willing platform.
2. If the PDP had fielded a northern candidate in the last election, no degree of alliance, chorus of change or APC grandstanding would have led to the opposition's victory.
3. Even sitting northern PDP governors in solidarity with the desire for a power shift, subtly worked against their own party. They supported PDP during the day but worked for APC during the night.
In conclusion, no one should be flabbergasted with happenings in the APC nowadays, there's nowhere in the world where an assembly of dissidents and angry people last long. The same token of propaganda, deceits, outright lies and mischiefs with which they rode to power, is the one turning back to stare them in the face. In other words, APC is reaping what it sowed. The singular aim of forming APC was to hijack power back to a particular bloc and not for the interest of Nigerians

Negotiation with extremists is never possible. In the case of BH it is also very true. Now the question is if you are to negotiate with the group, on what terms will they agree to put down their arms? They have reiterated severally that they want an islamized state under their control. This is enough reason to discard any iota of notions about amnesty or dialogues. Okay, supremacy belongs to the people (although that’s not how Nigerian politicians practice this thing they call democracy). However, the people have now given a mandate to a political party so it's absolutely foolish for Mr Dogara to continue to use the “people supremacy” line to attempt to deceive Nigerians after the people have entrusted their power to his political party. Or are the people able to elect principal officers in the NASS?

Mr Dogara's arguments are watery, defensive, and insulting to my own intelligence because it is clear to me that he is only trying to excuse the role he played in driving APC/NASS into the recent crisis just for his self glorification. Therefore, I am not fooled.

What you have said is true... to an extent. If the masses voted for a particular party and the party turns out to make decisions where it shud have no say, isn't that overstepping of its boundaries? Should full grown men subscribe to whatever the party decides for obvious selfish reasons of a few imbeciles who think Nigeria is now to be run on their own terms because they won the elections? The party may have helped them achieve their political ambitions but it cannot override logical the general interests of the people.
