Guy relax. A community that glorifies dysfunction and makes it THE FACE of itself with zero shame, has done to itself whatever negative global reputation it has achieved. I live in the USA and lets not cap. By their fruits you shall know them, and they show those fruits!

Even black american businesses make it hard for you to support them because their entitlement mindset makes it impossible for them to do customer service well. Then they will try to over-charge you on top their insulting you.
For the few sensible (mostly conservative) black americans that exist, if they are business owners, even they would rather hire other nationalities (asian, white, mexican) than their fellow black americans. These sensible black americans also get insulted by the majority of black americans by calling them "coons".

These sensible black americans generally would prefer to own a house in a peaceful white neighbourhood and suffer possible racist micro-aggressions, than deal with the sheer full-scale gutter-brained ignorance of their fellow black americans.

Even the "Black Lives Matter" leaders after they collected money, went to go and buy houses in chill white-majority neighborhoods because they know what their people are like.

I gave up everything I own and moved here from the states to marry my Nigerian man and build a new life with him. We were long distance for 2 years and I’ve now lived here 2.5 years. We’ve been on/off/on/off most of the time I’ve lived here.

Luckily for me, his family is supportive and helpful.

Maybe I should have took that risk, maybe I should have learnt something instead of just focusing on academics. I keep thinking about everything I could have done earlier. Maybe I should have started this 5 years ago at 28. Maybe I should have started that 7 years ago when I was 26.
But it's unfortunate those years are in the past now.

It's my fault, I was optimistic and thought things were going to be better. Government employment, good salary. I'll have a good career and my own family. Maybe a wife and 2 kids.
I just laughed at myself now,

maybe that's even a blessing in disguise because how do I feed them?
I have always been afraid not being able to be there for people around me talk less of my kids. These fears are real because I can't even be there for myself.

I am at a point where I am trying not fall. It's emotionally shattering. NO job, no real solid financial backing. It feels like only you in the world. you have to fight and figure it all out.
You think, Plan, write but see, it all feels like a meaningless scribble.

If you you are still 25 or 26 now is the time to do something. Just do something, forget about optimism. Optimism is deceptive.
Do everything not to stumble and fall in the future. Don't be bothered about what people think about what you do. You'll only be respected if you are able to care for yourself and people around you.

You are still young.
Start now. You will be soon be 38 looking back at 33 wishing you started today.
