Politics › Re: Ikonso: Is Nigerian Army Grossly Overrated? by 2elliot: 12:08am On Apr 27, 2021 |
goodnessme1: News broke yesterday of the killing of an ESN commander Ikonso and "six others". But Beneath the media sensation which expectedly followed lies the question of competence of Nigeria armed forces.
It was initially reported that the ESN commander and six of his men were killed in an ESN base during a raid by the police, with the police incurring no loss. This would have been a fair win from the police to me.
But later it was learnt that it was actually a combined special force operation from Army, police , DSS, Irt from Abuja that lead the ambush operation in which only two ESN men were killed and several security operatives including police and army were killed by few ESN men. The army initially denied casualty but has now admitted it lost four men . Considering the low pedigree of our armed forces when it comes to transparency, the figures could be close to ten men as claimed by people on ground, not including security officers killed during reprisals yesterday. The worrying part is that the military hierarchy are celebrating when actually they incurred more loss. Note these were almost the best guys drawn from our security agents. Note also that the killed guy has been contacted by the Governor to head the SE vigilante ebubeagu, which made his identity vulnerable to attack. If the prevailing celebration mood of our military hierarchy truly reflect their mindset despite loosing more men and risk of heavy escalation, it means they are fighting a war in which army will most likely be overwhelmed in the nearest future.

Politics › Re: My Dilemma - Why I Have Delayed My Full Support And Membership For IPOB by 2elliot: 7:57pm On Apr 26, 2021 |
GodHatesBigots: Folks I am deeply depressed. This weekend I spent most of my time on this forum and elsewhere debating and talking on matters relating to IPOB, ESN and the agitation for Biafra. And while I attended the IPOB fund raising event, I listened in but did not contribute a kobo. I am also not a member of IPOB but I sympathise with most of their concerns and really hope we can achieve them. I admire Nnamdi Kanu, in fact I love him - he is a warrior and he loves his people.
But there is a problem - I am in a dilemma. How can I contribute money to IPOB knowing that the money will go into the purchase of deadly arms that may kill my relatives in the army and police, or my friends in the army and police, or my old school mates in the army and police.
I won’t be able to sleep at night knowing that my contributions may have led to their untimely death. Conversely, I am gravely emotionally injured when I see the massacre of my people by Fulani herdsmen, the military, and police and sometimes I almost want to join the fight to destroy those who were guilty of genocide. It's hard for me and I almost weeping for my country and for my people. I don't want to see another innocent person in the force gunned down for doing their duty and I also do not want to see images of my fellow black people fleeing bandits in the North and herdsmen in the South.
No doubt something needs to be done, no doubt we are ruled by a terrorist government, no doubt we are not one nation and no doubt we need a final solution. However, I am unable to contribute money that may be attached to the shedding of blood of innocent people.
Note: If my money was purely for the destruction of Fulani herdsmen, including their terrorist supporters in the military or police, I would have emptied my bank account to IPOB, but not for the innocents or those doing their duty.
I need your advice and opinion.
Thanks, and God bless. Let me tell you something! My uncle was a nigerian soldier himself and was killed by Adekunle, a Nigerian soldier for telling his kinsmen to escape after they were marked for killing as biafran sympathizers. My other uncle who was caught was molested and his manhood damaged. He committed suicide due to the trauma. My uncles death made me understand that I have no business with one nigeria that will kilĺ me to keep her going. My loyalty lies with the oppressed, who in this case are biafrans. Think of it, your friends, class mates and all those who you know that are in the security sector, what are their motivations working for the country asides the salary gains? What positions are they in to positively change the situation of the country for good? If all those persons you know are not in the top position that can use their posts to influence and bring peace to all as you may wish, then you are wasting your time with them. They are puppets. They are zombies that would not care about you if order is given to finish u off. This is reality! But for the Ipod, it is an existiantial war for them. Killing Igbos has not being a new thing, until someone stops the killing, they have no choice. |

Politics › Re: Umunna!!! Come Here I Want To tell You The Truth About Nnamdi Kanu And Biafra. by 2elliot: 8:35am On Apr 26, 2021 |
FatherOfJesus: IPOB already has most people on their side in the east. Nnamdi Kanu or any other influential person has to take the chill pill and start telling Igbos that you need to vote right people. Make your own political candidates.
Nnamdi Kanu will start by slowly infiltrating a political part like APGA in disguise, carry all your followers into the party slowly, during election campaign on his radio for your members in that party, fight anybody who is opposed to your political will instead of fighting the army. Slowly take over states, local governments, and house of assembly. It’s not going to be easy but we have to make deliberate efforts. When you are done with this, slowly make allies in the southsouth and Southwest then start pushing for disintegration in the federal house assembly. Form a strong local political cult that will lobby even international support for a referendum as backup.
Even if you carry weapon at this stage, you have strong political support, Nigeria will think twice before engaging us. Your 1999 constitution was not created by elected representatives, so how can you change that through elected men when the whole processes have been rigged to favour the north? If Nnamdi Kanu succeeds in penetrating any political party, does he have the numbers in the Assembly to get the required votes? You don't know that our problem now is the 1999 constitution that used "we the people" even though none of us or our elected representatives were involved; and even if they were, the pronouncements are made to strangulate us. Their is no diplomacy that will make the north come to agreement with you to remove the powers they have on us through that fraudulent document. |

Politics › Re: Umunna!!! Come Here I Want To tell You The Truth About Nnamdi Kanu And Biafra. by 2elliot: 8:23am On Apr 26, 2021 |
FatherOfJesus: First of all, I will let you know that I’m very much not against the disintegration of Nigeria because there’s really nothing to be proud of as a Nigerian. It doesn’t matter what part Nigeria you come from, you are not living a quality and standard life, so it’s okay we break it if it’s not working.
MY VIEW ON NNAMDI KANU: Sincerely speaking, anyone without bias knows that Nnamdi Kanu has lot of valid arguments but I personally think his approach to solving the problem is invalid. Calm down, I know my brothers do not I agree, I’m here to let you see reasons. Nnamdi Kanu, irrespective of his sound argument, is allowing emotions take the most of him hence he makes bad decisions. I listen to a lot of his broadcasts , though He peddles some propaganda but a lot of what he says are true. Listening to him, you feel anger in his words, you can never make good decisions in anger. The Biafran movement is just but it requires a master plan and patience to execute it. Nnamdi Kanu is ruining it and I don’t think he’s capable of leading this cause.
WHY IT’S BAD IDEA TO TAKE UP ARMS Firstly, we must consider the tactics ESN will employ, which is obviously “guerrilla”. This tactics will work better in the north because the terrain is sparsely populated with vast land that will provide hideouts for militia. The vast and rash landscape of the north will make it difficult for Nigerian military to coordinate attacks. That’s not the case with Igboland, Igbo land is dense in population with town and cities just few kilometers away. Most importantly, lgboland is landlocked within enemy territories (this considering that IJaws and other south south tribes will most likely sell igbos out), So it’s you have enemy military bases closely surrounding our borders. This is not the case in the north. It’s a suicide mission trying to carry arms unless you plan to take the fight to other regions to further make life difficult for the military.
MY PERSONAL OPINION TO ACHIEVING BIAFRA Our elders use to say that “If you want to catch a monkey, you have to act like a monkey”. It’s obvious that IPOB already has support and popularity in the east, since that’s the case why not exercise patience, make a political masterplan and execute it.
The best battles are not won with weapons but by men with strategies. Most contemporary wars are won on the politically landscape. This is why IPOB should make a master plan on how to infiltrate the local politics in the east. You cannot start a secession when you have TA Orji as a senator and Cryinf Gburugburu as a governor Give yourself time, start taking over grassroots politics like wards and local government. Put people who share your ideology and put them in key political positions in the east. State and federal house of assembly and as governors. After this, take the fight to Abuja. Your members will take key federal appointment coming to the east, you can even go as far as taking key political positions in the Igbo speaking parts of Rivers and Delta state. When you start this political war, you may not even pick up weapons when it’s time and you will win. This structure will make it easier to build international bridges and allly base. Mount pressure on your lawmakers and governors, if they are not doing what you want, replace them with your people, get involved in the local politics and disrupt it. Internal and external political structure and support is key if we must win this fight. Udo di umunne
If una start this fight without proper blueprint, I go leave una go meet my in-laws for Ghana
I no Dey start fight wey I no fit win, I Dey plan my fight and select am well If you know the deep truth about Nigeria, the faulty foundation upon which Nigeria is laid, you will not have the patience to use diplomatic approach. Diplomacy rarely work with black men. If the white people who actually colonised us, did the sharing at the Berlin Conference on a roundtable without gun fighting; they allowed us have our independence without any African country winning them in a battle, then why is it so difficult for Blackmen to equally solve issues on a roundtable. The aburi accord roundtable agreement were not followed. You can really blame anyone for not following diplomacy with a system that does not listen to commonsense. |
