yuzjet: I agree with you. I was just being realistic. What I know is that these demonic men in power will meet their Waterloo soon. Just that we the common people must be active by joining politics. We can’t implement necessary changes if we don’t partake in politics. And to achieve what we want, it’s not about our tribes or our religions.
These are the main reason we’re like this. My believe is that, there is always a peak and a limit for almost everything. The policians today feel that they are some demigods, but they forget that even mighty empires fall eventually. They don't even learn from our own histories when the military seizes power and makes even they the politicians' lives unbearable. There is going to be an end to our sufferings as a people even if it may not be now. There is a limit to what the people can bear eventually. |

yuzjet: The way our democracy is structured, rigging will always be part of elections. So nothing is wrong because you’d do same if you are contesting because the constitution and the structure of our democracy gives room for rigging.
So, candidate with the most rigging power gets to win. You have said the obvious fact, and that's why the people are saying that enoigh is enough. Why don't you say same instead of being defeatist? Humans have been in worst scenarios, yet someone with balls called for change. Slavery was legal until people said no; people fought against colonialism and got independence. People fought against military rules. So, why should we continue to allow less than 1000 thousand elitist politicians across the country from every strata in a country of over 200million continue to abuse us? |

Racoon: I think the chronic debt pillage under this govt is grossly intentional. The plan seem to be to borrow as much money as possible to develop the north and when the next regime steps in, they will spend all their tme and energy trying to repay these loans.
Then another Buhari will take over & start borrowing again. There is nobody that claim to love this country that will mortgage it into this current scary level of borrowing or morbid financial indebtedness.
This is not when a huge percentage of those loans were used to do infastructural projects that benefits folks in Niger republic more than folks in nigeria Meanwhile, the stupid irresponsible and senseless people in this cursed government are still reasoning with brain of the pre-medivial era: The plan of some elite north is to pillage the resources of the south until it finishes, and at the same time put us in pepertual slavery and debt. They are killing several birds with one stone. Make the countries and bodies we are owing huge these monies to be against the division of this fraudulent country because their money can only be repaid by one Nigeria and not a divided country. They also want to keep the south in perpetual indebtness, and using our money to pay off these unending debts. I really sorry for the south. |

This is the best opportunities the Igbos have had since 1999 and they're spoiling the opportunity because of selfishness? It's really sad bro.
Those of us supporting Obi from outside are doing so because we wished Osinbajo was there and since he's out, Obi is the right person at this time.
Do you think Yorubas (especially the educated ones) will have a widely acceptable candidate like Osinbajo and they'll be supporting Obi? How about if every Igbo man supports Obi and at the end of the day, he wins and doesn't perform well? What would be said of the entire igbos if such happens? You will likely criticise them for being myopic and ethnic bigots for overwhelmingly voting a failure. People are entitled to have opposing views, even when enlightened ones can see through Soludos rants which are born out of envy. A reasonable number of yorubas do not support Tinubu, likewise some northerners do not support Atiku. And nothing is said about them being disunited and all that. I am an ijaw, and I opposed and campaigned against GEJ when I saw his failures. I didn't support him blindly because he is my tribes man. Likewise I have been speaking against jubrin the Sudanese. |

traihit: You think it's all about morality? This isn't morality bro. It's about being politically relevant.
If you're not represented in politics, who would speak for you and defend your interests?
Do you think the APC can do that? Do you think the PDP is interested in that? Now that Obi is being widely supported, is it wise for the Igbos to pull him down?
Those other tribes, are all their candidates totally clean? Why can't they also bring them down and become politically irrelevant like their Igbos? This is where education plays its role. Educated and intelligent people know that Soludo is just clowning and that his criticisms are done with bad blood. But all the same, his criticism will help shape Obi's character. The people will be ever vigilant to monitor him to see if he is what he portrays himself or that Soludo is right about him. That is the beauty of democracy and having educated citizens who can decifer facts from falsehood. But however, if other tribes don't criticise one another despite having reasons to do so, then intelligent people can easily label such people as docile people. No society can grow without having a reasonable number of opposing voices that helps as checkmate. |

Gourdoinc: Someone asked a question on this forum a few days ago that got me thinking, why hasn't the US and other western nations put to rest the issues relating to the candidates being accused of either drugs or graft on their lands. They keep preaching they want the best for Nigeria, and that we should vote in the best candidate, yet they have information about these candidates that can aid the masses to make an informed decision. Why haven't they willingly released the facts or set the record straight. they rather watch us bicker amongst ourselves and have to listen to spokesmen spew incoherent lies on behalf of their candidates.
The notion that obidients are naïve to politics is very true, even though the messengers of this gospel are the evil doers in Nigeria, their message is true. The Western nations and powers that be love the realities of poverty, corruption, ineptitude and backwardness of Nigeria. The African image they love to promote, is the one of suffering, starving children needing aid from western powers. Any African nation that wants to break away from that narrative will be fought to a finish, with their media branding the leaders there as corrupt and dictators. some African nations have been able to achieve that though, however such would not be granted to the giant of Africa. People do not realize that the success of Nigeria would have a great impact on not just Nigerians or African globally and on the continent, but to every black person starting from the Americas all the way down to Asia. Nigeria has to be on his knees, ruled by leaders with foreign and local backing, who will do the biddings of their backers.
Peter Obi represents everything that is against the natural order for Nigerian politics, Peter Obi has the Nigerian people as his backers, peter obi will be answerable to only the Nigerian people, how do you expect the backers (Nigerian and Foreigners) to feel, when the bottle is about to be taken from their mouths. they will fight you with all they have and it is possible they could do this even to the detriment of the future existence of the nation.
Even if Peter Obi wins (which will be miraculous), his government will be the most persecuted presidency the nation has ever known. they will do everything within their power to ensure that. Nigeria is a nation held down by Nigerians, with the support of global powers. It should not come at a surprise to anyone , that the 4km pipelines discovered emptied into tank farms owned by Shell and Total Plc, the whites take away free money in conjunction with their Nigerian counterparts, while the rest of the nation's population are left to suffer the ignominy of poverty and bare knuckle existence.
The battle will not be won on election night dear peter obi, a victory at the polls has only started the war, a war you will not win, not because you will not fight, but because the odds are stacked against you and Nigerians. it is nice to see that Nigerians have adopted you, however they are a people with a short attention span , who are motivated by frenzy of emotions, ironically same motivations Petters out within two days. Leave the arena , this nation is not worth fighting or dying for, Nigerians are not worth fighting for or dying for. It is a dying nation which should be left to ebb to its ruins. Leave the arena while you can, there will be no victory for you after February , whether you win or lose the election.
To those of you reading this, ensure to join the destroyers of the nation and plunder it , sing the praises of thieves and drug pushers and get your day's wage, join the looters and kleptomaniacs and grow your hay mound, ensure it is large enough so that when the nation implodes, you and your family will have what to eat and money to buy guns for protection.
To those of you who are reading this as well, if you are with conscience and love this nation , work hard, make some money and LEAVE.
Signed Obidient Nigerian Brilliantly said. Last week, I withdrew from my community's youths election that I was running for post of president. I found out that my people don't need a saviour or saving, just like every other Nigerian. I risked my life fighting for these people, agitating for the development. I had assassins come after my life in several occasions because I was speaking against our bad leaders who are embezzling our common patrimony(oil money as an oil producing community), and the corrupt oil companies whice are encouraging our decay. I have rejected bribes meant to shut me up. I have helped the cause of the youths. But I was surprised to hear the same youths who have been denied a quota in the sharing formula of the oil money that come to the community or any meaningful attention given to them by the leaders, tell me to my face that they won't vote for me because they don't see me mingle with them during parties. That since I don't smoke or drink and also mingle with them during those parties, that they don't see me as a true leader. I was shocked. So, I asked myself, why should I defend a people who see leaders who mingle with them in frivolities as being true leaders, and not the ones who discuss real issues and proffer solutions. I feel for Peter Obi. I would support his withdrawal because Nigeria doesn't deserve him. |

I am from an oil producing community in Bayelsa state, and I know what docility and not criticising leaders mean. In fact, we are suffering as a people because we chose to not confront our leaders because they are our kinsmen or that we may portray ourselves as disunited. I have been a sole ranger in my community, and have had assassins come after my life because of speaking against bad leaders. Anyone should be allowed to criticise as long as they are not being violent. What I believe is that, the people can perceive and determine those who are hypocrites and that do they do the criticism for ulterior motives. pacespot: The truth is that Nigeria of today scares me more than Nigeria under the colonial rule. When you are being ruled by the people that are above you, it shows that there will be progress and improvement brought by it to your land even though you may not have a say about how things are done in your country, such was Nigeria under the British rule. The British were technologically more advanced and intellectually more capable than the people of their colonies, which resulted in social transformation and economic prosperity of British colonies.
But in today Nigeria, the southerners who are more educated and civilized are being ruled by the intellectually backward northerners, the result is the Nigeria system which can only be a drag and drawback for the development of the former. Coupled with the hydraheaded monster of religion extremism that we have seen swirling in the North recently, Nigeria can only be summarized for doom and failure unless it restructures itself very quickly.
During colonial rule, the British were ready to be a bigger person and listened to the agitations of their colonies for self-rule because they undertood the benefits of people choosing their own faith under a democratic setting. But can you say that for Fulani and their Northern acolytes with religion extremism in their blood?
If you want to know the fate that awaits Nigeria, just look at Iran and other Middle East countries under Islamic dictatorship. Muslims hardly listen to anything except violence. So it is dutiful for southern leaders to acknowledge the reality of this Nigeria system and take the necessary course of action for the future of their people. If you think that the colonial masters are some sort of saints, then you are mistaken. They are the architect of our problem. They are the illuminati devils that have engineered all of the world's problems. The moslem world are an extension of the Vatican and the British crown; so, at the top of the hierarchy, these demons are related by blood. They are reptilians who are enslaving the world through deceit and fear. All religions are a weapon of killings and destruction. And even the democracy the west preach are weapons of calamity. The globalists who strategical set the world for failure engineered our problems. The extremist north is a tool by them, and the docile south(deceived by fake democracy and rule of law) are a target. Not just in Nigeria, but the globalists are setting up a moslem coup around the world. |
