So I got my phone bricked today while trying to flash a rom. Miui flash tool record an error, I disconnected the phone and immediately discovered that the computer could no longer recognize the phone when plugged in fastboot mode . As in fastboot became completely useless.

Phone kept rebooting to fastboot mode without being able to connect to pc.

Luckily for me, I already installed a custom recovery and it was working.

I quickly downloaded the latest rom of the phone and flashed through recovery, now fastboot is back up and everything is working.

If I hadn't installed the custom recovery, I'm not sure I would have been able to wake up that phone because all effort to recover would have had to pass through fastboot that was equally dead.

Who says unlocking bootloader and installing custom recovery (especially) isn't a life saver?

Lucky you. With a custom recovery why do you even bother flashing with MIUI flash tool in the first place? Except you intend going back to the official rom

They have massive industrial setups in India,
They had the capabilities of Wafers fabrication, VLSI Designs and development since 1980s but their main customers were their own Defense and Military communication Vendors. Until late 2000s they were not even focusing on consumer electronics too much, they were focusing Satellite manufacturing etc. Remember India made their First super computer Param 8000 in 1991.

Now after 2004 they have started to go into public consumer goods, like Mobile phones, Computers, Smart Kiosk, Data Servers, Distributed control Systems (For Industrial Applications) etc.
Samsung has world largest factory in India, Xiaomi has, LAWA, Micromax, Sony, LG all are their at massive scale, also Foxcon (Apple Contractor) is there.
By next year Phones , Computers will be even more cheaper in India, due to more competition, More production facilities.

Nice one. You forgot to add they also have one of the most important factor of electronics/phone production which is a tech savvy labour force. India has made itself stand out in terms information tech education and at the rate that the West vs China beef is playing out, they may just be the biggest beneficiary.

The only Note 8 device available which was even scarce was the 128gb ROM version and they wanted to sell it for 98k.

This is basically a societal/cultural problem in Nigeria. Our belief system does not encourage dignity of labour but rather places value on getting rich quick, it has always been so long before Yahoo Yahoo & money rituals became profound crimes.

I know someone that had his B.Sc and masters degree in the UK and worked as a security guard at some point as a side hustle, yet he nor the people around him didn't see it as a big deal. One of Obama's daughters served as a fast food restaurant attendant during his time as the president of America to keep her busy while on holiday etc etc. Menial jobs may not pay fantastically but they're important services nonetheless.

These show that we really need to change our orientation and value system here.
