IKON360: ahh na wa o. I thought global version and global rom were the same. For instance, a phone made in China that has global rom is functional in Nigeria. Isn't it? So which one now is global version and global rom? Abeg sorry but please explain Both are functional in Nigeria. Global rom is the variant with hardware built for the Chinese market but flashed with global rom/software. It works perfectly here but only lacks LTE band 20 (which is not needed in China). This band is used only by Smile & partly by MTN. Note MTN use band 7 too so you'll still have MTN LTE signal. Global version is the variant with hardware built for the international market. It already has the global rom/firmware factory installed. Least I forget the global version is slightly more expensive due to the extra band but we that don't send we rock the global rom variant, no time |

yahmaid04: snapdragon 845 for that price issa bomb, but other specs just fall out tbh, No amoled, no metal or glass back. intended on upgrading from my RN5ai but mehn will stick to it for a while now. Metal back comes as standard in all midrange & above devices. Upon all the things added there You still want Amoled screen and Glass back all for less than $300, guy you harsh o You want Lei Jun to go bankrupt & relocate to his village abi |

Hmmm, after closely looking at the Xiaomi Pocophone I'll say it's the real deal from Xiaomi at the moment. Aside the absence of an Amoled screen it has all the bells & whistles of the Mi 8SE plus a modified MIUI for the right price.
Something tells me we're gradually getting closer to having an "App Drawer" button or gesture option. That's about the only thing I've missed with the default MIUI launcher. |

Yup, you can as well patronise any of our numerous resellers here. There are 2 variants to the RN5 version that's available to us Nigerians though i.e Global version & Global rom. Both got similar hardware except the Global rom not supporting LTE band 20. |

IKON360: I just saw something, redmi 5 plus (called note 5 in India) redmi note 5 pro (china) and redmi note 5 ai and redmi note 5?? Please which ones can be shipped to Nigeria? Which is which? And excluding sd 625 on 5 aiplus what are the other differences And gsmarena are confusing me. Don't let the naming scheme confuse you, the name used is based on your location Redmi 5 plus(China) = Redmi note 5(India) Redmi Note 5 AI(China) = Redmi Note 5 Pro(India) For us in Nigeria we have access to the China devices, hope you get the picture now? |

macbeyland: I notice that it works when you aren't even wearing the watch, just holding it and looking towards it. I'm going to do a test later by keeping it steady somewhere and positioning my face towards it.
UPDATE.
I strongly believe it works with a sort of motion sensor. I positioned the watch and looked into it, nothing happened but once the watch does the movement, it activates. Exactly it's a motion sensor. If its to use the option of seeing your face before coming on, then they would have to fix a camera to achieve that. |

Gptech: Device has no name? No specs? And if it's a Redmi series as can be seen, all I can is , unless the specs of course is not the conventional. Probably a Redmi note 3 or 4 judging by the capacitive buttons. Did he state 75k? |

macbeyland: I just discovered yesterday that mi band 3 has look to activate function.
You don't have to touch the watch to activate the light to check the time. Once you bend the watch to your face, the time comes on automatically. There's a sensor in the watch that detects gaze.
Looks really cool.
Chat me up if you need. It actually works by you raising your hand, as if to turn your wrist to your face. Really cool |

olujosh301: Bro just update if you aren't planning on flashing custom ROMs or downgrades antiroll back won't affect you ... I have been using this update for somedays now and the only downside is the portrait mode on the front camera and the battery life really improved and also the fingerprint kinda unlocks faster How about that! On the mi forum most guys are actually commending the portrait mode of this version while some said the battery is not as good as the older version. Am yet to update though |

pansophist: It's easy to blame the ladies, but if Nigerian men stop aiding and abetting this passive extortion, the ladies will have no choice but to stop it. A woman asking you to pay for her transport fare is one big red flag that any self-respecting man should never condone.
What I also know for a fact is that a girl interested in a man will be in her best behaviour, and blatant extortion masked under "date" will be the least of her focus. Men should also learn to read passive cues to determine if the girl wants to use you as a cash machine.
In the end, a woman will only go as far as permitted. The choice is yours Couldn't have said it better |

The guy is not only a learner but a foolish one at that I detest when fellow guys can't be manly in their stance & choose the cheaper way of getting to buy their way out. From all account the lady in question doesn't even "send" him & the olodo already splashed 17k. Then WTF is he complaining? Since he has already declared himself the pay master. Fernandowski: That's why I get ps4 and good trap music to keep my mind off women
