Hadampson:Bossman Hadampson thanks for the mention oo.... |
NiklauseFred:I am truly honoured to be mentioned sir... Oga Hadampson I sight you sir.. SaintHillary, Nicoswit and all, happy holidays, Very soon I go create thread to document my own journey too...soon |
Chiggsglover:NiklauseFred: this na prophecy ooo op you are doing wonderful... but does it snow almost as thick as it does at Canada or is the climatic condition over there same as the UK (damp)? |
plaindealer:economic growth is not the same as economic development. one is on paper while the other is visible. hope you know GDP doesn't really count. |
how are the people over there... there disposition towards foreigners, his accommodating are they? the city, can you give a little run down? |
naptu2:okay....to type dey tire me... will go through the links and more thoroughly later on |
naptu2:wrong? non of the link you posted there actually said that chima was the king or whatsoever, he never even got out to the promise land, as one of the links reported. here is an extract from the second link "Whenever, in the olden days, a native doctor travelled to a place, he by custom would, on arrival, report himself to the local chief or to the head of the society of native doctors of the land. He is either the guest of the head chief of the clan or puts up with head of the local society of native doctor" local chief/ head of society. the head of clans can suggest to move the people if he wants to but he doesn't have the full right to do so the age grades, umunna, umuada can still object....I still mentain my stand, until you get convincing evidence that the Onitsha people practiced an administrative system in which there was a king with autonomous power before the arrival of the colonialists into the Igboland. what you ought to have said which I would agree on with you, was that, the Chief priest had quantum influence on the administration of the Igbo community, since he was seen as Divine. and besides you only sited Onitsha the people who until today still have traces of benin kingdom in their traditional administrative system. |
naptu2:reinvented? that is, the colonialists knew they could never control the Igbo people, their reforms would never be accepted, so they gave autonomous power to the chiefs, head if the umunna council, lineage heads indirectly by offering them "luxury" items. thus slowly they created the office of Kings, actualizing their goal of controlling/exploiting the people(slaves) and her resources through the "kings". since this office, this change has given the " head of elders" umunna full control of power non could go against them as the others elders were being bought into the system. the precolonial Igbo administrative system never made use of "kings" that office was non existence, precolonial Igbo administrative was, let's say, a "stateless society" with no central authority. policies and judiciary functions were performed by the head of the family, then the head of kinship, head of clan, lineages or villages. excces were checked by the umunna " (first male born / fathers)" and the umuadas ( first female born) and the age grades divided into certain age brackets , they also formulate and carry out policies and judiciary functions, while acting as checks and balances. every one both a 5 yr old to the eldest in the community made up the government in the Igbo system. kingship, obi e.t.c were product of the colonialists. |
Mstravelindiva:yeah you are right, most people will think it's so expensive and the fact that you are a lady lol.. but they fail to realize that entering an European country that's among the 26 Schengen countries is like entering the gate of heaven and having access to whatever realms you intend visiting I hope to be in Budapest....soon |
Itstrending:Person suppose dey bankroll am? |
The mediaeval architectural design of Europe The dynamic weather, though some people say it's bland, The Food, the food, the cultural diversity of the European country at large, the ease of traveling from one country to the other on train and buses alone is amazing. The gadgets you could buy at little price considering their currency. Na watin dey call me for Europe be this |
nah too go mold am be that because even in fantasy land this kind of woman won't exist, and besides being entirely too too perfect will get boring in the long run. |
MythAngel:you are really correct the exchanges of a county's currency to the USD doesn't necessarily mean it's economy is useless.. after viewing the post and scrolling through the comment I was shocked to see comments on how useless the economy of the countries listed above was compared to Nigeria. Indonesia, Vietnam ahh how will you judge based on paper alone. una gast understand the meaning of devaluation first, then you will know its deliberately done to secure or overturn the economy of the state implementing it. |
But op this looks like it ain't villages but, Resorts and tourist centers in Europe |
marsman:Read the martial races theory most educated igbos knew this, raed about the coup again but this time take time to digest it, the coup was just a front by the igbo.. Because they knew their stay won't last long. Either they hurriedly change the constitution to grant them all power(which can still be translated as calling Nigeria an Igbo state), or they seceded Well I may be bias in my opinion... |
AdakaBoro8:Mr I never twisted anything...you said while as president....I just pointed out the fact that even as president he didn't have any power to, and during the drafting of the constitution I am sure little could have been done..at all..look up the martial race theory, i am sure u didn't... In the case of drafting it did you think the Brits will give in easily each major region has to be in on this..And that is not possible.. Besides did you expect zik to move a secession a core nationalist, the shame won't let him ( a nationalist moving for secession in a blnk of an eye, no possible Mister) even when he wanted to, because I am sure he saw the signs. |
marsman:Okay but you read my whole post to understand my point or you just jump on this line alone. I still maintain you read your history book and read between the lines too...o you think because the igbos were in power was the only thing giving them joy. |

My friend so you believe we were actually free from the queen grasp...ok read a little about the martial races theory and think a little to get the bigger picture, this was the tactic the Brits used against Nigeria...though it may seem like zik had power to bring about the fulfillment of the seccesionist agenda of the ND people..but in reality he just couldn't, maybe except when drafting the first constitution he had inputed it in, but the British might still oppose but still it would be dine anyways...(since AWO was even in support of secession being drafted in the constitution at first). |
marsman:Of course but it wasn't so pronounced as it is now...read the history books well...from different perspectives |
AdakaBoro8:1. Did I ever say I am Igbo 2. Azikiwe became governor-general on 16 November 1960, with Abubakar Tafawa Balewa as prime minister, and became the first Nigerian named to the Privy Council of the United Kingdom. When Nigeria became a republic in 1963, he was her first president. In both posts (presidential and governor general) Azikiwe's role was largely ceremonial. Ceremonial; he had no or less authority to influence the political move of the nation( unfortunately secession falls under this)...the main power was yielded by tafawa balewa, he alone had the full right to influence this seccesion. (Just get material and read to under how almost useless is the post of a president is under a Republican state) 3. Aguyi ironsi swore an allegiance to the the queen and Nigeria.. He was even slated to be killed in a coup led by Major Chukwuma Nzeogwu, an Igbo. How did you expect a military general ruling the nation then to grant a region secession Rights even the igbos were clamouring for it then and he was an Igbo man, but the fact that he is a military man in power, all fell on deaf ears.. And you want him to grant the ND noo. You know it won't be possible...this head of States were solely after their pockets. And for your information aguyi ironsi was never a president he was a military head of state working solely for the majority in the army by default not the civilians Asumming you referred to azikiwe as a Governor general well that would have made some sense but remember still that during that period the British still had Nigeria under her hold forget the fact that she granted us independent..they never did let is go..only few could understand the game they were up to. I hope you get the point anyways |
PHijo:[ The history wrapped around the Arochukuws.. state that the aro had such business acumen that at a point they started selling other Igbo and people from other tribe... The aro business prowess and the fear of their juju had other tribe cowering to before them.. Not the Yoruba's (they were dar away to be influenced by this and not the Fulani's too). The Igbo's and the Fulanis never had any major historical contact with the Igbo's at all.. But they had "only" with the Yorubas at ilorin. So they never used the Igbo's as "toothpick". The Igbo gene littering everywhere I doubt that...it's actually the Yoruba's gene that litter very where from the southern america the American even northern america to the Caribbean( almost half of the population of the Caribbeans and even the brazil, serria leaone, liberia have a trace of the Yoruba gene inherent in them)...no mind my typos lol |
PHijo:Were did you get this history from, I would love to learn....Nigeria in precolonial era though not called Nigeria...instances has shown that 1. Ok e.g 1900: every kingdom in present day Nigeria had access to one another...the hausa presence have been found in the west, the Igbo's; in the west and south. So every foreigner had access to each other kingdom though on trade or slavery levels. 2. The issue of marriages; every tribe had in one stage had an individual who married from another tribe.. The ibibios and igalas married from the Igbo land... The Yoruba's married from the north and east the north married from the west. Before the Nigeria came into existence. |
BabaOwen:An Igbo man as president in a Republican state not even a prime minister SMH and you think he has the "sole" right to say which tribe is to be let out and not... So you know.. A presidential position in a Republican state is nothing but a position meant "only" to execute the ceremonial funtions of the government and nothing more... In the first Republic(1960) the prime minister(the northern guy) controls the government. Nnamdi azikiwe was just a front. |
BKayy:Well you are so right on this...the Igbos will let go, if you want out. And this is just in their gene remember they solely practised indirect rule under the colonial masters this is coming after every effort to get them organized under one central government failed...they place so much emphasis on linage and clan rulership even till this day...if the Igbos should successfully get divorced from this matrimony called Nigeria and then other tribes should join her, if those tribe wants to move out, it will be so easy...very easy, like, say the word and the igbos would let you go cheaply and still give you resources sef.... ...But with the way things are going I just hope this trait is still in the igbos |
hakeem4:I am really as surprised as you are.. |
Greatfullheart:yes but no much greenery there or dope rural areas that the smell of nature abounds |
Richdee1:free flat house rent. free Good food, prison guards fit teach me basketball and I fit write tons of poems and books in a clean environment like this sef. some interior of houses in lekki no fine reach this prison |
Hadampson:by this time next year it's all gonna be white Christmas for most of us in Canada or the Scandinavian or wherever's on our list that snows... Happy Holiday. |
Hadampson:thanks for the mention boss I dey here....but to commit small crime here for sweet. imagine some homeless dude on the street charged for shoplifting and then sent to 1 month in prison ..... isn't that from grass to grace over there..he might even plead to extend the sentence. these is what a correctional center ought to be like, not like here in Nigeria where our prisons, though now branded as "correctional institutions" only serve as some medium to make hard criminals more hardened, thus releasing them back into the street in worse (mental) conditions than they were picked up thus putting the communities into greater harm than before(law of cause and effect). no psychological evaluation of the criminals thereof. Hadampson NicklauseFred some 9ja guys go like commit crime for here ooo. |
Explorers were are you sir...it's been a long time mehn, hope you are good..this old tread reminded me of you..i know you are doing well? |
