Your sister should handle it any how that gives her satisfaction. I was looking out for something like this useless thing your wrote. If you are a sub-human and a slave where you came from, not everyone is. It seems the number of women like you are been reduced in this section. |

bebe2: Dats how my lagosian cousin married this Benin girl, they had two kids and my cousin kept beating her at every given opportunity. She wud cry to her mother in law and the will pet her. Keep praying, keep fasting etc.
Until the last time my cousin beat her and she went to her family house to report, all her brothers, cousins, nephews load themselves inside two buses and came for my cousin.
They beat him to a pulp he was admitted for over two weeks. Before he came out the wife moved everything from the house and dat was the end of the marriage. I smile when I read this. Benin people don't take shiiit. I was bred and raised among them and I know what they can do. I am not surprised at your story. Benin people are one of the craziest set in Nigeria. Na there you go see person wey wan fight go remove shirt, trouser, boxers and e go remain peniis. Then him go tell u say oya make una begin the fight crazy I tell you. |

Who asked your tribe?
U mentioned ur tribe to sound credible cos u know yoruba films end in lagos ibadan expressway. Whether u re Igbo or yoruba doesnt remove the fact that yoruba movies are trash and that Nollywood is an Igbo industry you wan turn am to fight now abi? I am tired of getting banned cos of people like you cos I get so caustic, venomous and vile and the people involve end up calling mods to ban me. Abeg, just park for ur lane. |

LordVoldemort: Another igbocentric clown. If you call me yoruba it's okay cos I live 80 per cent of life with them.
One thing you just get into your tiny skull is the truth will always be the truth it has no other version. Don't take glory for another man sweat. Only those who don't understand yoruba language feel that way. If they can watch at least 5 yoruba movies it an open mind, I am sure they will understand better, at least the movies are subtitle now than before. |

Freksy: What do you mean by 'realistic actors'?
Yoruba being the best is your opinion, we know the best in that industry he explained what I tried to say in my earlier post. Yoruba movie has some kind of REALISM or NIGERIANIS embedded in it. It's often something we can relate with, not "fakism" |

Adaure4ever: i understand where you are coming from, but in business, we have something called a Brand. Raw Fulani cow milk is not a brand But Cowbell is a milk brand that is marketed. Theater Acts existed in our local channels all over the country then. Mercy should stop this dividing methods she wants to introduce in the Nigeria film industry, even Omotola will disagree with her in these recent assertations. I don't know why I smile each time I read your post. You got functional brain than the average Nigerian girl. Yes, in business, branding is the key but how did Indian movies became the love of the world? I think the Yoruba section of Nollywood needs to do more. |

ItsMeAboki: Fvcking bastard! Will you STFU and stop spreading cooked up lies. If you have proof pls provide your evidence otherwise know that defamation and slander are crimes punishable under Nigerian law - the Emir has resources to have you traced even beyond the anonymity of Nairaland; be warned you do not have the liberty to destroy the character and person of anyone at will, especially that of a respectable prominent person as the Emir. as much as you try to counter another person for lies, it does not give you the right to lie as well. Resources to track his brain indeed. Tell the forking Emir to track me... Yes, you can assist him in tracking me as well, dumb fork. You people have such resources but didn't see the need to track bokoharam that has destroyed your region into stone age, what a shame. Get this drilled into your skull, your emir is ONLY prominent within the enclaves of Northern perimeter. So stop dreaming! |

Adaure4ever: rubbish. Nollywood is a film brand that was created by the Igbos. Every Nigerian knows that. (the first time movies were branded into a cassette and sold at home and globally.) Those yoruba film you called are Theater Acts.. I don't have time for more argument. Nope, we knew about yoruba movies before the existence of Nollywood and that's what that brother want you to know. We had lots of yoruba movies aired on TV and I remember watching "Ogunde" at the National Theeater Iganmu as a kid. It wasn't a stage act but a movie and also remember I couldn't sleep for weeks cos it was scary as hell. |
Celebrities › Re: Nollywood Discriminate Against Yoruba Actors, They See Us As "Illiterates" Mercy by 2sexycom(m): 9:19am On Mar 28, 2016 |
Adaure4ever: No. I wanted to counter this lady whinning with facts. Nollywood has yoruba actors/actresses who have excelled in the industry. People may mistaken Olu Jacob as an Igbo man due to his regularity in playing Igwe but He is a yoruba.. You see my point now. I do. I know when Nollywood started and true to your words, they started as igbo speaking entity but has evolved into a robust machine over the years. However, I prefer watching Yoruba movies to Nollywood English movies because of deep rooted reality that they display with a good lesson to learn from it. They are often consistent with suspense and intrigues. The only problem I have is their inclusion of native doctor in every movie, but we can't shy away from the fact that it's OUR custom and culture. Most of the English version are full of too much noise and repetition under different settings; only a few are view-worthy. |

Adaure4ever: mercy aigbe, Nollywood is an Igbo creation, that started with Igbo speaking films and actors e.g- Living in Bondage,Nneka the serpent girl etc Until it was changed to English speaking inorder to accomodate actors from Other tribes. Thats the main reason Yorubawood came out but Nollywood is ahead of it and a global brand and 3rd largest in the world. There is no descrimination in it, Igbo Movie Producers have used Mercy Johnson a lot in their films, she is a kogi lady. Ini edo, Omotala, Nse ikpe Etim, Olu Jacob, Kate henshaw etc are NON Igbos that have excelled in the Igbo Created Nollywood. Mercy aigbe, stop this whinning. hmmm... your love for anything igbo is extraordinary. I hope you don't make comments laced with ethnic bigotry sometimes but speak based on logic. So far, thought, I haven't seen anything to see you as one. keep it up. |

maestro2000: .
I pray the indomie generations to revisit their history teachers or the library or old magazines to be able to comprehend what my post was all about. People saying the North are uneducated are quickly to forget that this same north fed the South before and after independence before the boom of the oil with their pyramids( groundnut) and their tomatoes while few certain states in the Southwest was helping the Nigeria foreign reserves with bags of cocoa ( ondo state ).
Saying they are uneducated and looking down on them is what I am actually worried about,if care is not taking they will take us by surprise with their developments. You have a point... WHY did they stop? They have their self to blame. |
Politics › Re: Take Out Boko Haram, northern Nigeria Will Be Richer That The South by 2sexycom(m): 12:48pm On Mar 21, 2016 |
bonechamberlain: take out boko haram it would be the same north, we know, education is the key, without education there can be no tangible development, even if the government of jigawa or any other state embark on giant agricultural projects, u need educated people to make it succeed.
another problem of the north is religion, they value religion more than economy, until rationality starts prevailing in the north they would remain where they are.
for me take away the north from occupying any political position, Nigeria would be better than Europe. you just summed up what OP couldn't say in his "research" with over 1000 words. What a shame and wasteful energy expended on a research without substance. They are not even rational in their discourse which make the learned ones like carinmom and 9jjj look like illitrates. |

They have been ruling this nation political sphere since 1960 and whats the result today : An Underdeveloped 3rd world struggling country named Nigeria, a nation where 85% of its citizens don't have access to a basic amenities like indoor running clean water.. are you sure you are not trying educate a Northerner, those ones that defile simple logic, in acceptance of the redundant islamic knowledge? |
