These are the plans on how each party hopes to draw support for the 2023 elections.

Apc: Asiwaju Tinubu aka jagaban from his choice of Muslim/Muslim ticket shows one thing, he is willing to get the majority which is the north on his side , by giving them an offer too good to reject.

He controls south west but still there are some spots of resentments in the air towards him for his supposed role in the end SARS tragedy and the various scandals linked to him.
He is a man who loves loyalty and it has always been a useful weapon.
Down south though the party controls Cross River but lost Edo. Yet he has loyalists who have a major stake in the politics of their states.

East of the south might be a lost course. He might hope that governor's in the states the party control might perform some miracles to sale him as the right candidate to the citizens.

PDP: Not much has been heard from Atiku since he spends most times off the shores of Nigeria. We know this though that in the pdp, there's a division over Atiku's choice of vice-president.

It's an open secret that most of the stakeholders in the pdp opted for Wike to Okowa to represent the pdp as VP.


With the choice of Okowa as VP it could be that Atiku is hoping to get a sizeable victory in the south east and south south.

Atiku has not been seen to be the favourite of the north yet, but the north might still favour him a gamble he hopes might go his way.

Labour party:
The labour party has Peter Obi as candidate a business man and former governor of anambra state.

He has made his campaign to be a movement and this has one target in mind , the Nigerian youths.

But to how far his ideology can reach out to all Nigerian youths and how convincing he can be to rise these youths to vote for him is a thrill to behold.

These comes with challenges and one of this is how can he convince the youths in the north to vote for him a stranger in both sense( religiously and by blood).

He is willing to take whatever he gets in the north while here in the south his movement has reached out to majority of the youths.

If the reaction to the obidient movement from the youths is like that shown during the end SARS protest, then Peter Obi will be a happy man for sure.

I prefer Nairaland to Reddit as per the design...even the old Reddit site is better than the new one, Nairaland is still one of the sites that works on button phones, the performance of this site is a huge plus and there's no need to change the design and make it "modern".

The only problem with this forum are the users (esp. the ones that practice tribalism) and ads...this one is actually a big problem, there was a time a went to education section and the all the topics on the first page were ads, even this section is riddled with ads topics.

I had to remove the previous idea, I was wasting too much time on something not too important, so I decided to go with a Sidebar where you can choose which widget to add to the page, I add the idea of adding it to where the controls exist when you write a post, but the sidebar works more in my opinion.

For now, I will keep everything simple, in the future, the UI can always change since it is being built in a Svelte Component. for now I will be setting up Firebase today that is where most of the important details reside in.

There are important issues to discuss:

1. What format to store the widget code. e.g so we need to generate a text that the extension scans for and replaces it with the widget in the DOM.

e.g [widget type='url' rel='link']Link[/widget]

The issue is NL can tomorrow decided to block such, so imagine we can determine what tag to search for in the extension settings. do we encrypt into something else that can only read by extension or come up with our own type of tag. If you have ideas you can comment in the forum

Also, is another discussion, what type of widgets do we want?

1. Ability to share Songs with lyrics
2. Share Images easily
3. Interactive content (3D and STL)

Once the proof of concept is done, I will be halting development until there is a discussion around which widget makes more sense to start

Ur saying we got 2 choices:
1. Creating and inserting elements to the Dom.
2. Work with the default NL Dom and look for certain tags where the extensions will work with.( This could have a drawback if NL decides to block it).

As you can see, the grammarly extension has injected itself into the node, what should be noted here is that , the Grammarly widget is actually placed infront of the textarea and not inside, what does this mean ?

I can see that nairaland is full of youths with myopic knowledge about the history of the country where they live.

It depends. If you are trying to get your first job a portfolio is very important but once you have experience under your belt no one cares. I don't have any portfolio currently and I am still able to get multiple interviews but when I was starting my portfolio was what was getting me interviews and was very instrumental to getting my first job and infact was all me and my interviewers would talk about during interviews.
