vhykeeytor:You definitely can't use that to judge LASTMA, the population of Lagos in the 90s is not same as now but the land area has always remained the same. This is the reason why one would have to give credit to Tinubu for envisioning the LFTZ and EKO Atlantic. But still, without LASTMA, Lagos traffic would have been a warzone. And Lagos pays the highest minimum wage in the country and there is likely hood for it to be increased soon. |
olayiwola4u:Thanks |
Ok so Obi you didn't owe anything as a Governor so where are the dams you built or rather how many watt of electricity did you generate? |
olayiwola4u:Hello, I have a blogger blog but and currently have about 22 topics. I applied for Adsense but for weeks now I haven't been approved. After reading you posts, I have found some reason why my blog has not been approved but still need you to check it out. www. fleepz . . com. |
mycar:Firstly, OP didn't make any statement relating to politicians. Secondly, the fact that you understood what I wrote means what I said isn't a lie but facts on ground and the truth. And if me saying the truth is me being tribalistic, then I rather keep saying the truth and being tribalistic than me lying and deceiving others and being called a nationalist. |
LocalStandard1:I am not also a Tinubu supporter, but I would like to address some of your points. There is a saying in football that a team/player is at it's best as it's last game. If we take a look at the issues you raised and also look at how PO performed as a governor, then we would be lying to ourselves. 1) high-level debt: Yeah I would agree with you that he did well in paying state owned debt, but having debts wouldn't be a big deal if you are making enough money. That is why Lagos state, the US and other government would comfortably continue borrowing because they have the means of paying back. 2) I don't know much about insecurity during his era but I remember reading about Obiano campaigning on ending kidnapping in Anambra. 3) Poor economic management this is a very big issue in Nigeria and also he failed here as a governor. Of all the governors that ruled Anambra, he has the record of the lowest igr increase, this was also affirmed by Soludo when he said while Obi claimed he saved money, he glorified poverty. 4) If you say he isn't corrupt, then I would also argue with you that Tinubu is also not corrupt, the anti money laundering law 2012 prohibits the movement of cash if up to 5m but 250m was seen in PO's convoy in far away Lagos. The annoying aspect is the excuse he gave about a contractor wanting cash. As a former bank manager, one would expect he has knowledge about the law governing financial transactions. If we should believe what he says of him wanting to pay a contractor, one would expect he should have used the service of private security companies that provides bullion van services. If you say this isn't corruption, then Tinubu is also not corrupt, even though bullion vans where seen entering his house, we can't authoritatively say what is inside, how much is inside if it's money and also if what is inside is a proceed of crime. 5) Nepotism Peter Obi was severally accused of favoring a certain christian group, he was also caught to have said the people of the state should deposit there money in a certain bank as it's an Igbo bank we say we should over look this, he has also not proven us otherwise. 6.... Other issues that PO failed in are Disobeying of constitution (not conducting lg elections), failed in addressing industrial actions, failed in creating a platform to guarantee sustainable development etc. Let's look at his only public outburst and the results. If your reason for voting him is because he rebuked a citizen for asking him question then lets look at Tinubu When it was looking like the president is going to favour a candidate, he made the famous emilokan statement and also reminded the president of his place the rest is history. When he was also attacked for not going for debates, he alsi rebuked them now no candidate is going for debates rather they are copying him in holding townhall meetings with stakeholders. Recently Tinubu also attacked the presidency on the Naira change and fuel scarcity in a very viral outburst, can we also say this about Obi? This man is everywhere and anywhere since winning the Labour Party's President ticket. Talk about physical and mental fitness.Because someone is everywhere doesn't mean he his the right candidate and being physical fit is relative and for being mental fit, would you call a person who aggravates suffering and give bogus statistics as someone who is mentally ok? This man is ready and challenged anyone, anywhere to bring any negative allegations against him. Talk about character and self assuredness.Tinubu also challenge anybody to do this but nothing has happened. Infact, several cases have been dismissed. Infact when he was a governor, he was investigated severally by the opposition. In an interview, he also said the IMF investigated Lagos books but didn't see any wrong doings but still people keep accusing him of collecting a percentage from Lagos account. We need someone with just the right Deputy also, ready and fit with the right character and intelliect to assume leadership when his principal is unavailable. We need people that can talk and understand both the young and old, the Christians and the Muslims, the poor and the wealthy, the Northerners and the Southerners, the layman and the intelligentuals. As governor, PO didn't show any of this attribute you posted but looking at Tinubu, as governor he had people of different ethnic and religious group in his government infact he has shown that people are very important. |
I also don't believe a set of people who called for the burn down of Nigeria, called Nigeria a zoo, insult other ethnic groups, threatened other ethnic group of there lands are now behaving like patriots and that they mean well for Nigeria. |
Thanksful:Remember the Yorubas have always been abused since 2015? |
The poll was conducted with less than 1000 people, so I see no reason why one should be happy about the outcome. |
Me as a person, I don't need much 1) He/She should be able to create a system for power generation and distribution l. 2) He/she should be able to increase the IGR of the country 3) Should always communicate with Nigerians and also be someone that is strong willed 4) Should be able to see the future. meaning he should make policies of how Nigeria would grow year in year in a very rigid way. |
truthCoder:I don't understand you oo keeping money in bank is different from asking for a loan and I don't see reason why bank collecting charges for providing a service which is keeping your money haram. |
truthCoder:You are confusing the words trade and providing service. If you want me to help you go withdrawal money from your account and I ask for money, would you also call this riba or me taking interest? When you go to get dollar from banks you say you want to buy dollars right? but do you tell POS people you want to buy naira? These are two different things and you should stop misusing them. |
truthCoder:Yes collecting extra charges for same currency is haram, I never doubted that but collecting charges for performing transactions is halal. These are two different things one is me providing a service to you which I have to be paid for while the other is me trading same currency with you which is haram. The difference between conventional banks and Islamic banks is that while the conventional banks make money through interest Islamic banks makes money through investment in asset and also the share of profit and loss. |
truthCoder:Banks are business organization and people create them to make profit. So these charges are allowed as they are money collected for providing a service. Same with a person who does ajo, he/she would collect a percentage for providing a service to you. Islam is not against this, what Islam is against is interest rate collected from paying loans. Also on the concept of 'hand-to-hand', permit to explain if the MD of the banks must be the person to hand over the cash to all customers or the ATM machine (which was not existing when your assumptions were made)?Using hand to hand there doesn't literally mean that there has to be physical contact but what it means is that the bank manager shouldn't ask me to pay more to get the new note. Like I said earlier, trading doesn't have to be done in physical contact but that doesn't mean that you are to cheat or add interest to what you are trading. For example if I want to get BTC, I should get it for the price it is worth in the market with my USDT, if the seller is adding interest, then it is haram. same way I should get yhe price of dollars for what it is worth in the market. This is the little I know. |

SmartPolician:The registration for PVC started 2019 but most people didn't bother to register till 3 months before the deadline would you blame that on INEC? Imagine closing by 3, begging people to come register for 3 years and they refuse to register then suddenly everybody wants to register at once in 3 months would you have time to ask if anyone has registered before or not? My mom and her friend registered in 2011 but they couldn't get their card but when the went last year, they told the officials straight that they had registered before, there records were checked and my mom's information wasn't in their database but her friend information was till there. Lets be real here and blame ourselves first. I registered online in 2020 but didn't go for the physical capturing till 2022 when the rushing started and when I met the official, she said they were told to do only new registration and she was visibly frustrated I saw reason with her and new I was at fault. |
SmartPolician:But it was announced in the news several times that double registrations would be cancelled. So the people are to be blamed. You can't blame an official who was overwhelmed by the crowd for not asking you whether you have registered before or not, rather you are supposed to check if your first registration was till valid on the CVR site yourself. |
I think it would be better for PO to step down for Christopher Imumolen. He his young, has no corruption case or allegation. |
ican2020:Actually it should be a shame that of all the 36 states and FCT, only Lagos is seen as a City. |
mactoni91:call this number if you don't mind 08062192224 |
Stop deceiving yourself, nobody is stoping anybody from collecting there PVC. This is how you people post fake news and when it causes problem you hide and blame it on politicians. |
PO as a governor ASSU went on strike for 6 months Doctors went on strike for 13 months But people are saying he's the best. You see that this election is not about voting the right candidate rather it's voting the criminal you believe in. |
UyaiIncomparabl:SE. I have just little knowledge about it. |

This is normal and even small comparing to the US. Infact, the US number runs into thousands. |
If this is true, it is a very good move. If he his found of any wrong doings, I hope his supporters don't defend him blindly and if he his found of no wrong doings, I hope his accusers would let us rest. Because he has been investigated several times. |
funshint:I understand you. I was just asking him to give a proof where Tinubu collected 13% from contractors. |
Naira20:He gave an instance to his claim, you should also do so too. |
This place can serve as New movie location for producers New tourist site These are things that grows a state revenue. |
omoladeabiodun:Ok I will. |
omoladeabiodun:I know FAAN AVSEC officers Level 8 are paid 150k but I don't know if its the same in other departments. |
freshyabstel:I agree with you. I am currently doing my IT at FAAN (AVSEC) and what I have seen has made me conclude that one can be a millionaire working with the FG. |
