franchasng: lol funny people.
Instead of addressing the root cause of fuel scarcity making people to queue at filling stations, they rather go for window dressing the problem as usual.
Expect more of this kind of useless window dressing and agbero policies when and if Bola Tinubu wins next month's presidential election.
Nigerians should keep voting in stupid people as leaders.
Christians after you foolishly vote in terrorists as leaders next month, you can then resume your usual disturbing of God via fasting and prayers for miracles, una well done You could have been kind enough to explain to us how a state government would end the human made scarcity of fuel. |

moscow007: Thank God someone said it If you've been following comments and opinions on here on Nairaland Urchins have been firing from all cylinders against the whole Igbo tribe, it's no longer an Obi thing. All the comments from Obedients has been against Tinubu (and a few others against Yoruba Muslims), believe me when I tell you this...alot of Igbo people against Tinubu is because of these pay per click Urchins he hired, their hate against the Igbo Nation is out of this world (especially @leoking formally @ simpleleo the fraudster) Me..I'm Delta Igbo and I will vote for Osibanjo twice before considering Obi.
It has nothing to do with tribe but everything to do with competence.
Osibanjo was the first to propose modular refineries which would've ended fuel scarcity and subsidy, if the powers that be had allowed him implement it. (As at date no candidate is taking about modular refineries). All the boys u are seeing in the creeks refining Kerosene will obtain licence and own their own modular refineries to produce what we use under global best practices and standards and pay taxes to Govt.
Secondly he nearly redefined Nigeria monetary policy and international business policy by proposing the Naira-Yuan(RMB) swap via Union pay...over 90% of Nigeria's Dollars needs is for imports from China. Why on earth do we need to change naira to dollar before changing it to RMB before we can get goods from China. That Osibanjo's Naira-Yuan policy would've taken care of all our FX needs, but once again the power brokers and cartel from CBN that have been running Dollars organised crime visited Buhari with US emissary and that policy died.
My brother if Osibanjo had moved to another party like Obi did... my political group and tonnes of other Igbo groups will take it personal to make sure he wins, even with Obi on d ballot. We know Osibanjo and wat he stands for...wat does Tinubu stand for? You didn't actually give reason for you not supporting Tinubu, but if we should look at it in terms of competency like the way you did with Osinbajo then Tinubu was the first Governor to propose and build IPP this would have solve the power problem in Lagos state. Tinubu was also able to increase the IGR of the state this is a major problem in Nigeria. Tinubu also created the RRS which is seen as the best state sponsored police unit in Nigeria. He also created a robust and vert efficient civil service. He didn't have any problem paying salaries or have problem with labour unions. These are some of the things we are currently facing so don't you think it would be better to vote someone who has done them instead of voting for one who failed in them. P.S These is not meant to support Tinubu but to reason with you. |

Also, the ENDINEC protest is what I asked you to hope for as the people will not put their hopes and trust again on INEC for any credibility of elections...
If you don't understand....Then it's your fault...
If you try to twist my words...Then it's your words against your words ...
Stay safe Amigo... I had to go back to your earliest post If by the end of Feb. Peter Obi isn't declared the winner.... The next revolutionary movement will be on the electoral body..... Because, Nigerians will never trust her for any credibility of any election. We might be looking for ENDINEC.... The love and massive support to have people pick interest to vote in the forthcoming coming election is massive and all of this is to stop the criminals from saying that election isn't done on social media....That most people supporting Obi do not have VCards. The above is what you said/wrote. The word "IF" is used for conditional statements. example: If I don't bath, I would have body odour. You used the If statement here If by the end of Feb. Peter Obi isn't declared the winner Meaning whatsoever happens, Peter Obi has to be declared winner of the election "else" INEC wouldn't be trusted b6 Nigerians. I am not twisting your words, I am only trying to tell you that what you are saying is very unpatriotic and irrational considering the fact that this is the first election he his contesting as a president. |

She actually does jot understand what being a celebrity means. I know someone who wouldn't argue politics but he has who he wants to vote for. We all see things differently that is the reason why one shouldn't expect everyone to support a candidate.
Also being a celebrity puts one in a tight spot you could make a statement that can lead you to getting bashed, threatened and even loose endorsement, look at the way Brymo is being attacked since he declared his support for Tinubu. So she is just saying this because the candidate she is supporting has a high social media following, if it were to be otherwise, she wouldn't say this. |

crowther15: The fact that we want a youth representation doesn't mean we should just support any youth on the streets. The fact that we want an Igbo presidency doesn't mean we should just vote in any Igbo man on the streets. We must select a credible leader not just anyone because he or she represents our demography. Peter Obi has been consistently speaking about wastefulness and corruption of political elites in the past 10 years. Even when He was Governor, He challenged Nigerians then to take back their country. He did say that all part of Nigeria is important back the in 2013 or so. People saw his past speeches, and till today the message had not changed. No way I would leave such man for a youth I knew little about. Yes I agree you don't have to support just anybody. During the build up to the election, Peter Obi didn't want to contest according to him but he was compelled by Nigerians particularly her youths. Into the buildup of the election, we could have supported a youth if we were serious. We should just stop deceiving ourselves and also to stop insulting others supporting 70,80,90,100 or even 110. You also said you're supporting him because of his stance on wasteful spending. I agree with you that we need to eliminate that but what is the use of that when essential workers like Doctors would go on strike for 13 months let us not even mention that of lectures or NLC, he couldn't even raise the IGR of his state to a reasonable amount. We should stop celebrating mediocrity and look at facts on ground. If you have the right to support anybody then others too have and they shouldn't be shamed for that. |

I see people giving silly excuse like he brought APC to power, he doesn't have track record.
He campaigned for APC in the build up to the 2015 general elections but have you forgotten that OBJ also campaigned for the same APC or have we also forgotten that Obi was part of the devilish PDP as at 6 months ago? Or do we all now have selective amnesia?
He doesn't have track record fine, show me anybody that as ruled that was born with track record.
The truth is we the youth and masses don't know what we want, today we are fighting for youth representation in government tomorrow we are bringing down bold youths who are aspiring to be in governance with he has no track record but we can support people with failure written boldly on their track record.
We actually deserve the leaders we have. |
Politics › Re: Between The Dg Dss And A State Governor Who Is More Powerful by 3ple9iner: 6:59pm On Jan 10, 2023 |
In Nigeria, it depends on two things
1) If the Governor is in an opposition party and he doesn't have mind even commissioner of police will have power than him. 2) If the governor is in the ruling party and he his very close to the President, he would have powers than the DG DSS.
If we look at it without the Nigeria factor, the constitution give the DG DSS more power (On security matters) than a governor. |
