daremum: LOL. Guess we have to go direct to you and all other seniors in the house.
I Arrived Canada in Less than a week, should I consider filing tax for march or not.
There is a huge knowledge gap with Nigerian folks here they seem not to really understand this Tax thing and I heard if I file now there will be some benefits.
Everything sounds strange anyways.
Please advice... @40manlappy @all seniors The real seniors have started answering you By the way, sent you another PM when I didn't get yours. cc: salford1, maternal, Blackbuddy, TheCongo2 |

GFavor: Dupsyshoo & Elders your advice please
For the reference letter from employer, is it possible to use thesame reference letter for the MPNP and EE? The process of getting it for hubby is so troublesome I don't want to go through it for ITA. How can I combine it. Can it be addressed as TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN? The bolded is acceptable. By the way, is your hubby the principal applicant? |

Guitarlife: What if the applicant does not have enough funds nko ? I hope you know some of us are literally cutting deep into our veins to pull out these funds. mmnnnn God will perfect everything sha. I don't know why you are still worrying over this matter. After all, most of us had the face value in the account anyway and merely collected our interest upfront. Let me state again, many people that I know both on and off Nairaland used face value and there was no issue. If it still bothers you so much, you can tweet at IRCC via @CitImmCanada |

happytbaby: You have taken the interest upfront but you will not earn that interest that you have collected fully that until maturity. A discounted fixed income instrument will converge to face value at maturity. In essence you have collected money that you have not earned.
Guitarlife may choose to use face value but I, Happytbaby, will use discounted value. No qualms sis In the end, people should do what makes them sleep well at night. My POF was in Tbills and I used the face value without any issues; same for many of my contemporaries that now have PPRs. |

Guitarlife: Hello friends. How was our day. I have a quick question. On the treasury bill certificate we have the face value and discount value.
As we all know the face value is only realised after full maturity of the TB .
Can we still calculate the POF using the face value of it is the discount value that should be used ? Face value is in order. Like @DadR noted, that's the amount available to you at maturity besides the fact that you have taken interest upfront . cc: @GlitteringStar, happytbaby, Kontagious |

AZeD1: You technically don't need any permit but ideally if you work, you'd have to pay tax in Ontario and pay the balance in Quebec. Also you would have to get Quebec insurance for them (except they only attend hospitals in Ottawa) which means you can't call emergency services as they take people to the nearest hospital. I thought that one is meant to pay tax to the province of residence? Please clarify @bolded |

beckycute1: My people... I'm on CRS 438 ... Is it best to chill and wait for ITA or I go the OINP route I just got the NOI I think you have 45 days to submit, right? Please verify. Get all the necessary documents handy. If the scores do not go down within the period (say 40 days), maybe you should consider the OINP before the NOI expires. A bird in the hand....just a suggestion. |

Guitarlife: Hello Guys, I work with a bank and we do not get payslips, how will I deal with this ? This should not be an issue. IMO, if you get ADR for that, you may simply state that your employer does not provide such or even provide documentary proof e.g. mail from HR that payslips are not available. Bank statements showing salary payments may be provided in lieu if necessary. What stage are you now? |

intercedertee: Goodmorning NL family Please I have a question. My husband is the pa and he is an insurance agent of NOC 6231 (level B) but was promoted early this month to a manager. My question is which NOC will he use, it is that of agent or manager. Thank you I think he should use the NOC for which he has the requisite experience i.e. insurance agent, since the manager role is very recent. |
