Pls house, I want to know if you land in canada, will the immigration official ask you for POF. Could one be returned back because you are not carrying enough fund. I need your input please
I have not landed, but from what I have read and heard from many landed peeps, you are not expected to carry all your POF in cash. However, you should be prepared to show proof if asked e.g. bank statements. You may or may not be asked at the POE. See the following thread for insights.

Went down the drain...he claims they couldn't find my records in the file room. Its a diploma by the way. I need it to claim points for "two or more certificates". He even said I will need to pay another school fees to do clearance and apply for transcript. Such a shame that Nigeria is like this, I left the school in 2006 and I was given a to whom it may concern
Sorry about your experience. However, I think you should ask him what the 56k was used for, at least the official portion (51k). If he has paid for the transcript, he should give you the payment receipt/POS printout for possible future use. Please update the house of the outcome so that others can learn. If you wish, you may send me a PM so that I can give you contacts that may be of support while you are there. I wish you breakthrough from here onward.

Please those asking for contact at Olabisi On a banjo University, be careful so you don't lose money

I got the contact of one Mr Adekoya on this thread who asked me to send 56k and in the end nothing.

I'm going there on Monday to pursue my transcript myself
The bolded is the way to go. I always find time to go to OOU and apply for the transcripts, even if it means taking the whole day off. I only use my contacts for follow-up.

By "nothing", do you mean the whole 56k went down the drain or he has not completed the process? Don't know him though, will ask one of my guys.

I cannot give an authoritative answer but I will suggest that you register first if you have not done so already.

However, some applicants were advised of the following dates recently. Maybe they can serve as a guide.

Thanks in advance

Are we talking pension or gratuity as POF? Please clarify.

Seems StanbicIBTC is the most prominent PFA and they will give you the letter you require. You just send an email and specify which of their branches you want to pick the letter from. Is your gratuity the one run by your employer or you are still referring to the Pension Contribution scheme?
I was about to recommend Stanbic IBTC too cheesy

NB: I am not an employee of the firm and I use a different PFA (not by choice anyway) but I can attest to Stanbic IBTC's efficiency....

My Dear Brethren,

Getting PPR or having your Passport stamped and CoPR at hand is not the end of this Journey.

Frankly, It might just jolly well be the beginning.
Valid point! Which is why landed people usually recommend that one should start planning before PPR shows up smiley

I don't mind paying out of pocket but can't see anywhere to get. They keep asking for health card and I don't have. Won't even have for the next 2 months. But the weather Sha. I'm afraid that the kids will get sick. I had mine last in 2016.
I got the following from another forum. Maybe you can explore it;

Insurance

If you stay in Mississauga or Brampton area suburbs of Toronto, there is a non -profit organisation called "Four Corners". It covers you for 90 days till you get your health card.

Wow!!! Want to share this great news with you guys. My parents visas have been approved. They applied on the 1st of February (Visiting visa) Need them to come help me out while i write my exams as Oga has gone back to Nigeria.

Secondly, i got a school fees waiver. I paid the same amount as a Canadian student. The University gave me the privilege and what it means is that i must maintain great grades to keep enjoying the privilege. God is too good. I am so excited.
Congrats and thanks for sharing these great news with us smiley

Good evening everyone,
Pls is it possible to use the same WES used for study permit application for Express entry?
You may have to "upgrade" your current ECA report to one that is acceptable for EE application since the previous one was for study permit. Get in touch with WES via all available means e.g. their website and Twitter handle @WESCanada.
