Hello Everyone,

I am reaching out to this esteemed community to inquire if there are any like-minded individuals who are also looking for a roommate while searching for accommodation in Ontario, Canada.
I just got my copr and I’d be traveling to Ontario soon from Lagos, Nigeria.

I am a 29-year old single lady and I am looking for considerate individuals who understand the importance of compatibility and mutual respect in a shared living environment.

If you will be interested or know anyone who may be, please kindly reach out. I am eager to connect with you.

Thank you.

You may need to specify the city (or cities) that you are considering. The province (Ontario) is bigger than Nigeria!

I got debited for my car insurance yesterday and I became furious.

For almost a month now, have been indoor staying safe likewise many other Canadians.

I had thought there will be a kind of discount or slash during this pandemic period from insurance companies.

My understanding is that this is being done on a case-by-case basis, it is not automatic. If you are not driving the car at all, they can switch your usage to “parked” temporarily and give you a considerable discount; same for “pleasure” use (essential trips to grocery store, pharmacy, etc). I recommend that you reach out to your insurer ASAP.

Hello all,

Please ooo, for people in Ontario, are there remote jobs I can do for now? I am heavily pregnant and may not be able to work long hours but I need to do something. I am also considering taking a course but I still don't know which one is more lucrative.

I studied Accounting, have my ACCA, but I have about 4years experience in Banking only.

Biko, any suggestion is welcome.

You can explore work-from-home customer service jobs:

Arise https://www.ariseworkfromhome.com/canada/
Sykes https://www.sykes.com/canada/careers/

While you are working on the above, consider starting your registration/conversion to CPA. It may take up to 6months to 1 year to complete

Justin Trudeau’s mandate letter to the new Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship
https://pm.gc.ca/en/mandate-letters/minister-immigration-refugees-and-citizenship-mandate-letter
HIGHLIGHTS
-Ensure the effective implementation of Canada’s increased annual Immigration Levels Plan for 2020-2022, attracting more than a million new permanent residents to Canada over that time. This continues our modest and responsible increases to immigration, with a focus on welcoming highly skilled people who can help build a stronger Canada.
-Work with the provinces and territories to ensure a renewed focus on the delivery of high-quality settlement services to ensure the successful settlement and integration of new Canadians. This will require a rigorous approach to data in order to accurately measure outcomes.
-Work on reducing application processing times, improving the department’s service delivery and client services to make them timelier and less complicated, and enhancing system efficiency, including in the asylum system.
-Introduce a Municipal Nominee Program that will allow local communities, chambers of commerce and local labour councils to directly sponsor permanent immigrants. At least 5,000 new spaces will be dedicated for this program.
-Make the Atlantic Immigration Pilot permanent. At least 5,000 new spaces will be dedicated for this program.

I work with KPMG in Nigeria and I will be relocating in March, do you work for KPMG in Canada?

Hi, I don’t work for KPMG Canada. A significant number of Nigerians do, so you can search for them on LinkedIn and network but you don’t have to limit yourself to Nigerians. You may consider reaching out to their International Recruiters on LinkedIn as well.
