CannyDoll: Hello house, please how do I prove my work experience if the company I worked for are not willing to provide a reference letter, I worked as a full time contractor with my incorporated company and was paid through the company. I have work contracts that shows my work hours and pay but does not provide my job role and responsibilities. Please if anyone has experienced same can you help a girl out I am in a bind. I have not experienced your exact situation but I am privy to a few cases that can provide insights. Did this company document their inability to give you a reference letter either via email or letter? Can you get them to do this? Do you have anyone in your HR that can give you a copy of your job description? Can you get your former supervisor to write the reference letter on your behalf, whether on the company's letterhead or on a plain paper? Please answer the above questions and let's see; also clarify the bolded. |

Newmum0615: Don't know jare. Just that if they do 6month average balance on my account on the reference letter, it wont show much cos I always reinvest in Tbills once the previous matures, the funds never gets to the end of the month. So end of month acct balance never amounts to much. I was thinking adding statement would help. T-bill notification is an acceptable POF on its own. You may not need a letter showing 6 months average if you are providing another acceptable POF like T-bill. Applicants resorted to statement of account as an alternative to reference letters in IRCC format. However, if adding SOA will make you feel at ease, please go ahead Looping: Bsbabe, Kontagious |

nirany: Good day E-Family,
Please I would like to confirm if IELTS is a requirement to get a job in Canada, in other words, do the employers ask to see your IELTS result.
Thanks guys I don't think there is any such requirement. cc: boldinc |

RE: UPCOMING IOM/PLANNING FOR CANADA SESSION IN IBADAN
Apparently, the January 2018 slots got filled up very fast. However, I have been reliably informed that another session has been scheduled for March 6, 2018 and people are already getting invitations. If you have already indicated your interest to IOM for Ibadan and yet to get the notification, try to get in touch with IOM. Even if you are not considered for the referenced date, you can be put on a waiting list for the next one. |

daremum: @40manlappy, I will be attending tomorrow session. The passports photographs were returned although one was attached to the COPR.
Does it make sense to carry along another one and drop at the airport.
Thank you Just carry along everything that they sent to you. You should have 2 copies of the COPR for each family member. Enjoy the session! |

40manlappy you must answer me this time pop lol. Thanks Congratulations! That was fast! I am so happy for you Lol @bolded. Just follow the instructions in the email strictly. Let me share the following based on experience. -Print the PPR mail. -Fill the eye and height colour chart form (usually attached or pasted in the mail) -Follow photo specifications that was included in the email (we resized the digital photos that we used for e-APR to the required specifications. A number of applicants did same. This should be fine if those photos were taken recently i.e. less than 6 months) -Include your international passports. -Prepare a cover letter. You may wish to adopt the sample below. -If your family configuration has changed, fill form IMM008. Otherwise, the sample letter with the bolded "disclaimer" should suffice. Package the above along with any other required documents and go to the nearest DHL office. I am assuming they were recommended for you as done for most Nigerians. Wish you a smooth sail from here on. High Commission of Canada P.O. Box 1639 42 independence Avenue, Accra, Ghana
Dear Sir/Ma. As requested, find attached the international passports, passport photographs and filled biodata form for: Name (Principal applicant) Name of (Spouse) Name of (Dependent) Name of ( Dependent) Name of (Dependent).

It's good to know that you made an effort to read through Part 2, kudos! However, providing a link to the original post would have been sufficient; no need to "repost" or quote the entire post. Besides, many people read this thread on their mobile phones. Let us make the reading enjoyable for them. You may modify your post and just provide a link to Cochtrane's summary. Muslimity: @bbaby84: Many thanks for rescueing the innocent spouses. God bless you. If I may ask, just to be more convinced, can you please tell us if you know anyone who has heeded this your advice and scaled through to secure PPR? You have been rightly advised by bbaby84. You can move the accompanying spouse's work history to the "Personal History" section post-ITA. So, no need to obtain work references for him/her. Several people here have done same and gotten PPR. |
