DictatorZAR:

Yet another foolish ill informed comment from you Mr military consultant worker.

Now fool the G6 was first unveiled in UAE Dubai by SA's former Defense Minister Lekota in 2003.

Now how the hell can a weapon that was first seen in 2003 and was still undergoing further development till 2008 and currently possibly be used in the Anglo-Bush War in which ended in 1990. "Are you actually claiming time travel was possible in the late 1980's"
http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/world/rsa/g6-52.htm

You should stop your stupid*ity.

And please a Mig-21 in the late 1970-1990 was by far more superior to a Mirage go do your research hence the development of the Cheetah by DENEL which came to late.

And please try to twist yourself out of this one.

its time to combine you and @andrewza together and put you both inside a cup of tea on my table.

zaandrew:

You sure you in the defense industry. Look at when SA got hit with sacstions. The mirrage was outdated by the 1980s.

you @andrewza was telling lies about arms embargo on south africa as an excuse for the usual military failures of south african armed forces. i prove to you that embargo did not stop the best weapons you had from coming to your help.

you @DictatorZAR claims that Mig 21 is better than Mirage F1 is a big lie. Even the older Mirage 111 was s.hooting down Mig 21 like toys in the Israeli vs Egypt war 1973. dont challenge me on war history, i studied it with my precious time.

South Africa bought the license manufacture of the Mirage F1 and its engine. The intention was to produce up to 100 Mirage F1s but the 1977 arms embargo caused this license to lapse.

The South African Air Force SAAF bought 16 Mirage F1CZs and 32 Mirage F1AZs, quickly delivered by Dassault before the embargo was implemented, with deliveries starting in 1975.

Both the F1CZ and F1AZ variants of the SAAF saw action during operations in the Border War.

South africa had 48 Mirage F1 jet fighter-bombers in the bush war against Cuba and Angola photos below

In November 1978 five F1CZs were first deployed to Namibia, tasked with providing escort for reconnaissance flights over Southern Angola. From 1980 these deployments as escort aircraft became regular. Due to teething problems with the F1AZ, F1CZs soon also were assigned with pre-emptive strikes in Southern Angola using Matra M155 rocket pods or 250 kg bombs.

South African air force Mirage F1CZs of 3 Squadron downed two Angolan MiG-21s in 1981 and 1982.

mirage F1 was not outdated by the 1980s as claimed by @andrewza, it was used by france in 2007 Afghanistan war and it is still being used by air force of France in Mali war today 2013, just simply upgraded.

Nigerian Combat In Mali Not Beign Reported

Reports reaching Newsdiaryonline.com said that the international media’s focused solely on the effort’s of France in Mali appears to be under reporting the instant impact Nigerian troops have recorded on arrival in the embattled country.Highly informed sources said Nigerian fighter jets swung into action as early as Wednesday and they have been pounding rebel positions in Northern Mali, which is believed to be sector allocated to Nigerian troops.

even though perfect data in not available, general estimates from neutral sources with NO bias says :

south african soldiers both frontline and rearguard total about 20,000
cuban soldiers total about 45,000

supporting soldiers for south africa e.g. UNITA and FNLA total about 80,000
supporting soldiers for cuba e.g. SWAPO, MPLA, USSR total about 130,000

unbiased casualties figures -

south african soldiers dead : about 2,300
cuban soldiers dead : statistical average about 6,000

cuba had a poorly trained army of mostly newly conscripted youths. south africa had a professional army of white origin and training, with all experience from about half a century of combat experience along with the americans and europeans

south african originated figures are lies and propaganda. cubans lied too. so, only neutral sources tell the truth.

Henry120:

Did the poll involve other races or just the white ruling class? Andrew, you were born during apartheid, as a white south african, what is your personal perspective on apartheid?

Nigeria faces a monumental task of tackling this insurgency. Please do not compare what we are facing now, to what south efrika faced in the 80's.
Troops have to deal with guerrilla warfare, suicide attacks and IED's from people who believe that when they die in jihad, they'll go to paradise and have 72 virgins

In the southern part of nigeria, 95% of women are literate, with a large number of them going for their masters degree. Polio has since been eradicated. Poverty is low. The north has one of the highest illiteracy level, polio and beggars are rampant in the north. The environment is hostile. While the south of nigeria continues to look like brazil, india in growth and infastructure, the north of nigeria is looking more like yemen and pakistan with constant terror attacks.

So you can see that, illiteracy and poverty induced by northern leaders, with a mix of islam spells disaster. They cannot be reasoned with. The task before the nigerian army is huge. Infact south africa should thank her stars that she has a very low muslim population and Christian neighbours.

Sometimes I wonder what is wrong with muslims, infact what is wrong with black african muslims, for crying out loud the religion these people are fighting for is imported, arab religion. Why don't africans just practise our traditional religions and live in peace.
one of nigeria's greatest problem and thorn in the heart is the huge northern muslim population. Though nigeria has its corruption issues bt the northern muslims is a more bigger problem. . . The just tend to resolve to suicide attack in resolving personal vandeta.s! the are taught that western education is sacrilageous thus the high ilitracy rate! High illitracy coupled with their "noting-to-write-home-about" religious ideology lives them in poverty. The constitute the highest percentage of poor population. The are burden to the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the major stumbling block to explosive economic growth. But the goddam fact which i hate bt stil remains the fact is that "to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be Done"

the current G6 in sa is not the same has the the 1980 one. only the chassis is the same. But you knew that but decided to to not post that info, but we know you are used to doing that. The new G6 52 was first shown in 2003.

When did i say the sanction caused us to loose the war. Barring us from international sports s was more effective. But it shows the point where support for SA stopped.

The mig21 was not the only aircraft that the cuban /angolan air force had the mig23 was the threat. several encounters occurred between F1 and mig 23. Again you knew this but failed to mention it.

The F1 was replaced by the cheetah sanction had nothing to do with it.

The F1 is now outdated(and has been for some time) and only one squadron flies them in france.

wikipedia says south africa has 80% christians and only a tiny 1.5% muslims. compare nigeria that has 40% muslims.

weblink source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_South_Africa

no need to argue. there are other important things to post. just for you to note.

Now wiki is not a credible source for that because if you come to cape town alone there are over 4m muslims in Durban there are over 4m Hindu's from mainly Indian descent and even the Jewish Council in SA has over a million members so going by wiki is useless to what we see and know on the ground ask your own fellow countryman who live in those areas of SA if you know some.

In my area alone there are 4 Mosques and a Hindu temple with over 30% of the people in my neighborhood being non christians.

So don't try and teach me.

Since when does HRW know how to analyse satellite photos ?
When will HRW and Amnesty international stop defending terrorists ?
I saw the satellite "pictures" and I couldn't see anything but vague shapes in "the pictures", I zoomed a lot and still nothing. I am just waiting for the DHQ to show everybody that HRW and the nation backing it with those "satellite pictures" are totally wrong.

For once I can see Aljazeera trying to make a balanced report:
http://africanspotlight.com/blog/2013/05/01/video-baga-after-massive-slaughter-in-army-boko-haram-clash/
And of course this goes against the boko haram propaganda that "this day" and "sahara reporters" and other news outfits are feeding us.

Later when I say some big media houses are doing propaganda against Nigerian army (in order to destabilise Nigeria) you people should listen: here you have the example of Reuters being debunked by the JTF:

NYRM: Nigerian Youths wake up, We have no other country except Nigeria, We have been suffering in silence while our Leaders put our future in their bank accounts. How can we remain like this? How can a youth go to school and suffered to graduate at the end no job. You are almost 40 and still your future is as bleak as a dark room. Did your parents send you to school to sit at home because our Government have failed us. Let us come out one day and say No. We must not remain like this, we cannot all travel abroad to find a better life, our better life is here in our country. We have the money, oil and resources but only a selected few have continue to suck it dry why we keep believing God for a change, wake up now I challenge you. We need 500,000 youths in each of the 36states to challenge the Government. We say NO, we will destroy this country and rebuild it afresh, we will Kill those who stand on our way as they are consideredthe enemy. A man cannot have billions of naira while millions of youths roam the streets every day looking for daily bread. Our young men must not all be kidnappers, our young girls must not all be prostitutes. Get Ready I tell you. The time has come for us to react, the only way our Government listens is violence, they have shown it to the Niger delta militantsand nowthey are planning to show it to the boko haram..whereas a simple gesture of N20,000 per monthto the unemployed was rejected and you pay militants N75,000 per month. How much do they pay as minimum wage? How much do they pay to elected officers, we are going to revolt. Nigeria will burn to berebuilt again like Libya, Iraq, Egypt and Tunisia...pleas e spread this message unless you want todie in poverty in a country where God has destined all of us to be happy and prosperous...!! ! Pls send this msg to all ur contact cos anytin can happen o!!! The time is right for us all to say no bad governance who take the youths for granted!
I knw sum will say NO let start the move together by joining the group "nigerian youths movement for revolution"pls don't send friend request just like the group "nigerian youths movement for revolution" help us in recommending the group to ur family and friend say no to bad leaders, say no to oppressors
can you honestly say you've made any point here?

patriot3: I have few questions for humaan's right Watch: Since when does HRW have satellites ?
Since when does HRW know how to analyse satellite photos ?
When will HRW and Amnesty international stop defending terrorists ?
I saw the satellite "pictures" and I couldn't see anything but vague shapes in "the pictures", I zoomed a lot and still nothing. I am just waiting for the DHQ to show everybody that HRW and the nation backing it with those "satellite pictures" are totally wrong.
All these international pig infested organisations are showing what they are made of. Shamelessly fraudulent and politically motivated. Imagine showing us a colored picture and then claiming soldiers commmited massacre of 185 people based on just colored pictures.

The world doesn't care about africans and "Nigerians", but all peoples care about African resources. The world goes with whoever would guarantee them juicy freebies from the African continent. Therefore anybody who would deprive Africans of their natural heritage and send tons of African resources to pig continents, is a hero in eurasian books. That explains OBJ and IBB popularity amongst western political circles. You think we don't know about USA motives. You think we dont know about british and virtually all pig nation's motives. You think we don't know about chinese motives. What about the araboids? Who is amnesty whatever really working for? UN,WHO,IMF World bank. Africa would give their verdict later on.

2 things

One yes africa is source if a number of rare resourses. But non in nigeria. Oil is valbil not rare or only found in nigeria. There are for more pressuis minriels.

Two. They don't need to discredit or even menstion africa in the news to get access to the resourses. Just pay off who ever is in power. If that don't accept put some who will in power.

Not everything negatif, but many things negatif are being said by news papers to distabilise the nation.
I gave an exemple with Reuters not even thinking twice before producing false information about Nigeria.

To what end. A distabilised nigeria is bad for all other countries in the region, and bad for the global powers.
