Congratulations on your course completion. If you studied Engineering and you are still below the age of 31, you can apply for 476 graduate work visa.
All the best.

Hello house,
I am a veterinarian and my wife is a medical physicist, we are planning to migrate to Australia.
My question is this,
What type of visa will best work for us?
Is it possible to apply for both 189 and 190 at the same time?

Leave it blank if you don't have the information. Your bank will sort it.

You can apply for both, but you both need assessments first.
Start from the first page to understand process

Wonderful jobs guys!

Wow....information boku here..

However, me, I have no experience outside my business experience but would like to go for the shortage occupations I saw on https://www.anzscosearch.com/skills-priority-list/... like Aviation maintenance or Plumbing and even my current one which is a software engineer on a Training visa... anyone know what other visa category sustainable enough I could go for?
And anyone with info on school that offers these courses for free or very cheap?

I heard of a Christian school from an old friend before we lost contact, anyone knows anything about this?

Your response is needed here, great people on this thread.

Thanks a lot.

Free course? I dont think there is anything like that for international students except you are referring to full scholarships. THis is usually for PhD students.
Why training visa though?

65 is a low point. Can you provide a breakdown of the 65 points?

I think a training Visa would be cheaper compared to a full master's.
For instance, training in Plumber (whole course) then finding a sponsor to nominate someone.

Good evening house!!
Wonderful thread I must confess!! I have tried reading from page 1 and I don't seem to get answers to my questions.
My husband is an offshore electrician, I am confused on the Visa type to go for?
Secondly, has anyone here done the offshore skill assessment program? Please how did you go about it?

I appreciate your positive responses!!!

Good evening everyone, please help me with these questions. Thanks

1. Can I apply for a students visa while waiting for a grant on another visa subclass i.e 489?
2. If a migration lawyer who does not have a valid MARN number helps in the application process of a client, does it in anyway affect the application negatively?
3. If an applicant is not comfortable/satisfied with the services of a migration lawyer, can he discontinue the contract with the agent and hire someone else even after visa application has been made?
4. Are there applicants of visa subclass 489 who are getting visa grants of recent or did the discontinuation of the subclass affect people who already applied before it was abolished? Is this subclass still of priority to home affairs or they’ve fully shifted focus to subclass 491?
5. Are there people who applied for 489 offshore with the skill; Multimedia Specialist, who have gotten grants or contact in recent time?
6. Do you think it’s normal to have stayed for over 26 months without getting even a contact from a CO?

1. No. Cos the 489 is a skilled migrant visa and your intent on student visa is to return to your home country which will be negated by your application of a skilled visa 489 which has the ability to proceed to permanent visa after 2 years.

2. First of, don’t contract someone who is not a registered MARA to apply on your behalf. Even a migration lawyer is expected to have a MARA license. To your question, I don’t think it would affect your application negatively but I’d advise against that.

3. This will be based on the contract you signed. If the contract allows, you may be able to but moving to another agent is one of the hardest things to do especially if that clause is not well stated in the signed agreement. You will need your application details to be able to transfer. It can be messy.
If you are currently having issues with the agent/lawyer you are using, you can report the person to MARA or ombudsman or the legal association in the lawyer’s state

4. Yes, few grants have been dropping here and there. The discontinuation has no effect. Visa grants have generally been slow since the pandemic.

5. Grant is not by occupation. DHA does not work with any known format.

6. Yes, people have waited for longer. Grants were recorded yesterday, so let’s hope there will be more in the coming days/weeks.

It’s legal but it’s an agency’s website and not the Australia immigration website.
Don’t waste your time with them
This is Australia immigration website
