alBHAGDADI:

One Satanist says the reason why he advises circumcision is because it is medically advisable. But when we tell him that it is spiritually advisable to tithe, he kicks like a Satanist.

So much hypocrisy.
what is the spiritual implications of paying tithes and first fruits as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ?

Why keep jumping from pillar to post like your brother alBHAGDADI? Why are you not paying tithe according to the law? What of Satanists or idol worshipers that circumcised their male children are they keeping the law of Moses?

Don't get it twisted bro, you are in a confuse state.

I couldn't help but notice @ Dencotext has been fraudulently avoiding a question you asked him for a while now...

Agrogbeide:

My Question Mr Dencotext; did the levites of old paid tithes and gave first fruits to other levites or levitical priests?

If you say believers are modern day levites and priests unto God, do you expect them as priests to pay tithe to other priests?

Instead ...he's busy casting things that exists in the figments of his wild imagination...

Dencotext:
And that is my complaint here, you have no Jewish root but are circumcized?! shocked Who twisted scriptures? So are you yelling the LAW is good for medically reasons only?! And if you refused to accept your actions kept the LAW, why will I accept that I am keeping the LAW moreover not according to the law requirement as you claimed!

Lol...dude, your stupidity just entered another gear...

Okay please, people that do not eat meat with blood are also doing it to enforce the Mosaic Law abi?

People that do not commit murder, bestiality, rape are also doing it to enforce the Mosaic Law right?

Indians that have been sticking to their vegetarian diet for many centuries are enforcing the Laws of Moses they've never heard of abi?

Ancient communities that have been practising circumcision as a rite of passage into puberty or as fertility rites...they're also enforcing the Law they know nothing about?

Even the Jews whom God gave the Law to no longer stone rapists or fornicators to death...but one ignorant Nigerian is claiming I am enforcing the same outdated Law by being circumcised! (a painful decision I had no input whatsoever)

Since you're arguing the Law of Moses is enforced by way of circumcision...why aren't you also tithing according to how the Law demands?

He deserves every form of our respect... this is the man that we should give everything to, whether tithing or offering because everything in the tabernacle of the old is patterned after the sacrifice of JESUS.

Apart from Matthew 25 v 31-46 where Jesus clearly mentioned how the taking care of the less privilege was tantamount to giving to Him, [b]where else did Jesus advise how we can give to Him?

By loading the church accounts with monetary tithes and offerings?

alBHAGDADI:

On one hand, they say people who practice circumcision aren't keeping the law of Moses. On the other hand, they slam tithers by saying they are keeping the law of Moses for paying tithe.
I know in any of your upcoming post you will definitely add this to buttress your claims. But when the arguments gets tougher you will either remain dumb or sneak out like a chicken as seen in other threads of yours....... alBHAGDADI I know you too well copy and paste Na your work.

Satanists or idol worshipers that circumcised their male children are they keeping the law of Moses?

Thieves, Kidnappers, prostitutes, murderers etc that used their money to help others are they doing it because of a love for Christ in their heart?

alBHAGDADI:
They forgot that both tithing and circumcision were done by Abraham before the law. Circumcision and tithing were issued by God himself. The practice of circumcision must have spread through out the world before the Israelites came to be, because Abraham had many concubines who had children for him. Recall he also circumcized children of the servants born in his house. That's how the practice must have spread to other parts of the world.
My friend will you keep quiet. Stop saying rubbish.

Abel sacrifice a lamb as a burnt offering unto God which was acceptable to Him. alBHAGDADI this act precedes the law but now I'm asking you why is it not practice any longer today?

The only thing that concerns believers and Abraham is his kind of FAITH. The promise God had with him has already been accomplished and we must key to that Promise and that promise is the Lord Jesus Christ.

Romans 4:11-16
KJV:And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which he had yet being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:
12
KJV:And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which he had being yet uncircumcised.
13
KJV:For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.
14
KJV:For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect:
15
KJV:Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression.
16
KJV:Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

alBHAGDADI:
If anyone can admit that they practice circumcision for health issues, then they should accept that tithers practice tithing for spiritual issues. Saying they circumcize for health issues is the same as saying the Apostles who spoke against circumcision according to the law were foolish to have ignored health implications.
What is the spiritual implications of paying tithes as a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ?

alBHAGDADI:
Their hypocrisy stinks grin
I know you know that your own hypocrisy is filled all over nairaland.

Thanks.

God bless.

Maximus69:
Jesus was actually talking about his brothers!

Jesus said in Mark 3 v 35;
35 For whosoever doeth the will of God, he is my brother, my sister, and my mother.

If you are doing the will of God, you're Jesus' brother...so let's not get it twisted that it's just a special set of people referred to in Matthew 25 v 31-46

However, I agree with you...it was Jesus' brethren...and not just anyone...

Maximus69:

First of all you need to know that Jesus came from heaven and he will return to his home to continue his life as a spirit person after ruling the earth for 1,000 years. There must be 144,000 humans to be selected from different part of the earth as corulers with him, this are the ones Jesus referred to as his brothers, they are also called the born agains. They're the ones Jesus gave the task to go out preaching and teaching people about his kingdom.

Who are these 144,000 humans? are they JW members?

Maximus69:

Because Satan will surely treat these group the way he dealt with Jesus, whoever assisted them in their works is like doing all those things Jesus mentioned to them.
They needed support because they can't complete that work given them, so all those who assisted them in the preaching and teaching work are the ones Jesus is referring to as sheep!

Same applies to many countless martyrs since the early church till date... same applies to those who help assist the brethren of Jesus and...Jesus defined His brethren as those that do the will of the Father...

Maximus69:

I recollect a day i was with one of them in the field service preaching, a woman poured water with palm oil on him due to what her Pastors told her about JWs.
I felt like going back to tell the woman 'you're attacking Jesus' brother' but he hold me back and said 'she won't believe you' so i walked away in tears! cry

Count it all joy that you are persecuted for the sake of spreading the good news of the Kingdom of Heaven... many are still living in ignorance...but God help us all (both ignorant and enlightened) to see, accept and walk in the Truth

Maximus69:

They are the REAL born agains! There number is speedily reducing as majority of them are now with Jesus in heaven! Whoever drove them away is DOOMED! embarassed
That is why we're assisting them globally to do their work. The preaching and teaching work you see Jehovah's Witnesses zealously doing globally is NOT primary our work but because Jesus said they needed assistance that's why majority amongst us are spending our precious time to assist them!

If you meet them outside they will never discuss about their spiritual status with you, but we know them because they worship in our midst and they can't hide their status from us! They always behave like Jesus just as Jesus will not declare his status to anyone, they also will never tell anyone that they are BORN AGAIN!
It is due to God's grace that we know them and if you think you've met honest, kind, good, trustworthy and kind hearted people amongst JWs, i'm sorry to tell you that if you live with one of them your heart will continue to beat saying 'this is an angel'. Of course their garment that's taken them to heaven is readily waiting till they finish their earthly course!

What does it mean to be born again?

Maximus69:

So it is them that we're striving to copy just as they have perfectly copied Jesus, most people agitate when we tell them 'you can't worship the true God elsewhere' well it is because you can never master Jesus' teaching without seeing those practicing it. We have them in our midst that's why we are totally different from all other religions on earth!

Provided God is worshiped in Spirit and Truth...such worship is acceptable unto Him...

I wanted to quote some scriptures from James...but I guess Mark 3 v 35 has done a lot of justice as to whom Jesus' brethren are... and how the Sheep are rewarded for helping them as per Matthew 25 v 31-46

How can we be enforcing a Law Apostle Paul already clearly said is decaying and fading away around 2,000 years ago because of circumcision?

Anyways, the fact remains that...monetary tithing and first fruits was not practiced in the early church...

It was simply freewill giving that was practiced... 2 Corinthians 9 v 7;

Not all these nonsense aberration and twisting of the scriptures we are seeing to cajole people into parting with thier money

If you disagree, bring up scriptural evidences to counter this!

If you like give tithes and first fruits that's not my business. What I am after is that you don't use it to rub others. If you insist all believers must pay tithes and give first fruits then it must be done according to the law and all other laws must be kept and obeyed as directed by Moses.

BTW THE LAW WAS NOT FOR THE GENTILES BUT ONLY FOR THE JEWS.

Giving one-tenth, Quarter, Triple, Double or all of your earnings in cash or kind is good and acceptable by God if it comes from a willing heart and love for Christ. However those that are not able to perform this should understand that it is neither compulsory nor by force and they are not cursed or will be curse if they fail to do it, they should be upbraided to give as concluded in their own heart and most especially as directed by the Holy Spirit.

The purpose of circumcision in the old testament has already been fulfilled thereby making it obsolete and same with the mosaic law bro.

Thanks.

That is correct if applied with divine wisdom!
But i disagree with the use of the Hebrew pronunciation of JESUS' name!
Of course that is somehow close to what his mum actually called him at birth, but if we're to do that today, then all other Biblical names should be returned to their original pronunciation in Hebrew! undecided

Don't worry about the argument regarding the real pronunciation of his name in Hebrew, what is of utmost importance is his teachings and how to apply them!

People around the world choose the pronunciation that's fitting in their own tongue, for instance Jehovah's Witnesses don't pronounce the names the same way globally but our teachings is of one thought! 1Corinthians 1:10

It is purely your prerogative to disagree or refuse to use the Name of the Messiah. There is compulsion in that regard. However, does he have an Igbo, German, Greek, French or English name? What is it and what does it mean?

It is even a great and sweet idea.
Isaiah to Yeshayahu, Jeremiah to Yeremyah, etc. Don't they look and sound great? I don't see anything wrong with returning the Scriptural names to their Hebraic pronunciation.

The name and the teachings of Yahushua the Messiah are very important.

He, Yahushua the Messiah, is the Word of the Father, YHVH Almighty. The name of the Father shows his identity. Yahushua the Messiah bears the Father's name.

One cannot regard the teachings and disregard his name or identity.

CIRCUMCISION IN ANCIENT EGYPT;

Sixth Dynasty (2345 - 2181 BC) tomb artwork in Egypt is thought to be the oldest documentary evidence of circumcision, the most ancient depiction being a bas-relief from the necropolis at Saqqara (ca. 2400 B.C) with the inscription reading "Hold him and do not allow him to faint". In the oldest written account, by an Egyptian named Uha, in the 23rd century B.C, he describes a mass circumcision and boasts of his ability to stoically endure the pain: "When I was circumcised, together with one hundred and twenty men...there was none thereof who hit out, there was none thereof who was hit, and there was none thereof who scratched and there was none thereof who was scratched.

Circumcision in ancient Egypt was thought to be a mark of passage from childhood to adulthood. The alteration of the body and ritual of circumcision was supposed to give access to ancient mysteries reserved solely for the initiated. The content of those mysteries are unclear but are likely to be myths, prayers, and incantations central to Egyptian religion. The Egyptian Book of the Dead, for example, tells of the sun god Ra performing a self-circumcision, whose blood created two minor guardian deities. Circumcisions were performed by priests in a public ceremony, using a stone blade. It is thought to have been more popular among the upper echelons of the society, although it was not universal and those lower down the social order are known to have had the procedure done.

But according to an ignorant Nigerian, circumcision is only done to enforce the Laws of Moses... whereas, historical evidences clearly shows male circumcision was a cultural practice performed in ancient Egypt...long before Abraham even got circumcised...

CIRCUMCISION IN THE PACIFIC REGION

Circumcision is part of initiation rites in some Pacific Islander, and Australian aboriginal traditions in areas such as Arnhem Land, where the practice was introduced by Makassan traders from Sulawesi in the Indonesian Archipelago. Circumcision ceremonies among certain Australian aboriginal societies are noted for their painful nature, including subincision for some aboriginal peoples in the Western Desert.

In the Pacific, ritual circumcision is nearly universal in the Melanesian islands of Fiji and Vanuatu;participation in the traditional land diving on Pentecost Island is reserved for those who have been circumcised.[citation needed] Circumcision is also commonly practised in the Polynesian islands of Samoa, Tonga, Niue, and Tikopia. In Samoa, it is accompanied by a celebration. Among some West African animist groups, such as the Dogon and Dowayo, it is taken to represent a removal of "feminine" aspects of the male, turning boys into fully masculine males.

According to a certain nairalander... these people are enforcing the Laws of Moses they know absolutely nothing about...because they are circumcising their males...

CIRCUMCISION IN AFRICA

In West Africa, infant circumcision had religious significance as a rite of passage or otherwise in the past; today in some non-Muslim Nigerian societies it is medicalised and is simply a cultural norm. In many West African traditional societies circumcision has become medicalised and is simply performed in infancy without ado or any particular conscious cultural significance.[citation needed] Among the Urhobo of southern Nigeria it is symbolic of a boy entering into manhood. The ritual expression, Omo te Oshare ("the boy is now man"wink, constitutes a rite of passage from one age set to another.

In East Africa, specifically in Kenya among various so-classified Bantu and Nilotic peoples, such as the Maragoli and Idakho of the Luhya super-ethnic group, the Kikuyu, Kalenjin and Maasai, circumcision is a rite of passage observed collectively by a number of boys every few years, and boys circumcised at the same time are taken to be members of a single age set.

Authority derives from the age-group and the age-set. Prior to circumcision a natural leader or Olaiguenani is selected; he leads his age-group through a series of rituals until old age, sharing responsibility with a select few, of whom the ritual expert (Oloiboni) is the ultimate authority. Masai youths are not circumcised until they are mature, and a new age-set is initiated together at regular intervals of twelve to fifteen years. The young warriors (Il-Murran) remain initiates for some time, using blunt arrows to hunt small birds which are stuffed and tied to a frame to form a head-dress. Traditionally, among the Luhya, boys of certain age-sets, typically between 8 and 18 years of age would, under the leadership of specific men engage in various rites leading up to the day of circumcision. After circumcision, they would live apart from the rest of society for a certain number of days. Not even their mothers nor sisters would be allowed to see them.

The Xhosa Tribe from the Eastern Cape in South Africa has a circumcision ritual. The ceremony is part of a transition to manhood. It is called the Abakwetha - "A Group Learning". A group of normally five aged between 16-20 go off for three months and live in a special hut (sutu). The circumcision is the climax of the ritual. Nelson Mandela describes his experiences undergoing this ritual in his biography - "The Long Walk to Freedom". Traditional circumcisions are often performed in unsterile conditions where no anesthetic is administered; improper treatment of the wound can lead to sepsis and dehydration, which has in the past lead to initiate deaths.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_male_circumcision

According to a certain nairalander... even Africans are circumcised according to the Law simply because they are practicing ancient cultural rites...

alBHAGDADI:

Same Wikipedia that gets edited anyhow. Same Wikipedia articles written by people who were born thousands of years after the so-called events. grin

And the English Bible that was written thousands of years after the events happened are also invalid abi? Isn't it just great you are wowing us with new levels of your stupidity? Please argue with the references I pasted up there from historic/academic journals...

alBHAGDADI:

He claims ancient Egypt use to circumcize before Abraham. Very funny of him. How come the children of Israel didn't practice circumcision until Moses came with the law? Didn't they live in Egypt?

Yeye dey smell

Of course the children of Israel lived in Egypt... but since it's obvious your skull is full of pap rather than a brain... are you telling us the children of Israel should be circumcised just because the Egyptians were also circumcised according to their own cultural requirements?

Since you are sure I am a satanist...what is holding you back from saying AMEN to this if you're not a lying coward?

OkCornel:
If truly I am a Satanist, let God take my life before the end of this month...
But if I am not a Satanist, may that same Satan continually afflict you for this false accusation you have made.
Say amen to this if you are not a coward...

@ Agrogbeide, isn't it amazing how these Pharisees plumb into new depths of stupidity? Just look at this one dodging questions you've asked him so far...

Homosexual Satanist Okcornel says the children of Israel didn't need to copy circumcision from the Egyptians. He said that as he maintained his stance that Egypt practiced circumcision before God ordered Israel to do same.

Despite the children of Israel who lived in Egypt for 400 years and who didn't know their God nor his laws, he still believes they didn't follow the culture of the Egyptians. Moses did.

Acts 7:22 (KJV)
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.

Yet he believes the other children of Israel didn't learn same.

I don't blame the homosexual Satanist

Dude, your IQ level must be single digit...

Common sense and the scriptures should tell you Moses was learned in ALL THE WISDOM OF THE EGYPTIANS...simply because he was raised under the roof of Pharoah's daughter and by extension Pharoah...

but your leaky brain automatically interprets it to mean that all the Israelites followed the culture of the Egyptians... smh;

You've rushed here to call me a homosexual...when indeed your lord and master alBHAGDADI sided with a homosexual on this thread to attack me for exposing his lies;

Agrogbeide, just take a look at how this person reasons...it's really pitiable...

If Moses could be skilled in Egyptian ways for being under the roof of an Egyptian princess, what makes a homosexual Satanist like you think the Israelites also didn't learn such skills for being in the country of the Egyptians and under their laws?

Mr Homosexual Satanist. The name for you die. grin
