I swear, I heard one language like that spoken by people in Owan community near the river before ifon, my God, I was confused. The language was dancing on its own. It didn't sound like Yoruba but it didn't sound like Owan. It was just on its own.

Utese and Egbeta share boundaries but they don't understand each other. Their two languages are different from Benin
It's Owan but kinda different a little bit

Should be 4th cause third mainland Bridge is the longest in Nigeria

Edo is currently in Nigeria.

If Nigeria divides today, and Edo doesn't get to be in the map of the newly formed country, that means Edo would by default still be a Nigerian territory.

So whatever that happens, Edo would still fight for their freedom. You won't just have your country through Biafrans sweats.

Ooh, so if Biafra struggle to get independence, Edo would automatically have the chance to be independent too if they wants to?
It doesn't work that way bro
Am saying if Nigeria divides, somebody asked if Nigeria divides where will the Niger deltans go? Am telling that person that edo can form a country.

. The Truth is nobody even wants to claim Edo, Edo would be more of a liability. They don't have the oil or the gold to mine, so don't bother.
Edo have oil Edo have arable land for agriculture Edo have rubber Edo have waters for seaport
So what are you talking about

Britain was far more advanced than the countries they colonized. Just like Israel too.

Aside from population, are Binis more Advanced in any wise more than Oduduwas or Biafrans.
Just be realistic.

For Bini to have a country of their own is just under the mercy of Oduduwas, if they so want to claim Edo.. forget it bro.
How can they claim Edo? Nigeria is far more advance than Cameroon but who win the bakassi peninsula case?

No Government has ever made such declaration in history of politics.
Even EU didn't want Britain to leave.
United Kingdom with their level of human development doesn't even want Scotland to leave UK.
Is it Nigeria that would make this Historical declaration that everybody should go their way?

That's why I told you its a pipe dream.

Edo state would be balkanized, if they do gragra for war, they cant stand either oduduwa or Biafrans. Is it by international influence? They are no match. Is it by money? They are still no match.

If Biafra with all their international influence, money and population are finding it this difficult, then it would take the second coming of Jesus for Binis to form a country.
What makes you think they can't stand oduduwa and biafra, you think it's by population? As tiny as Britain is they colonize the world, Isreal is small but their arsenal is one of the best in the world, oga forget that talk.

If a Tribe as Big as the Igbos are finding it difficult to form a country. Even Oduduwa will find it difficult too.

Then A Bini Country is just a pipe dream, Edo state and Delta would be balkanized. Some would be in Biafra, then some would be in Oduduwa.

Is it War that the Binis can fight against Igbos or Yorubas to gain freedom. It's like this reality has never dawned on you before. You think anybody would give you your country in a platter of Gold, and we haven't gotten like 50,000 countries worldwide
They are not finding it difficult, just that Nigeria doesn't want it, the federal government doesn't want it, if the government say everybody should go their own way, everybody can stay on their own, nothing difficult there

Population is far more important than size of land. You can have all the land in the world, but if you dont have the population, you have nothing. You will be a minority

Just the population of Anambra alone is more than that of Delta and Edo states combined.
Oga shut up go and look at statistics, Edo population is higher than anambra, don't say what you don't know

God bless you. I really don't understand why anybody thinks the Edo kingdom will have to either be in 'Niger Delta Republic' or 'Odua Republic' Edo has everything needed to be a functional nation. Our population is similar to that of Finland and Denmark, we have fertile land, natural resources and human resources. We can do very well on our own.
We have waters for seaport, we grow lots of crops for agriculture, we are the 6th or 7th largest producer of rice, we are the 6th largest oil producing state, we have refinery, we have rubbers, we were excelling when we were just a kingdom imagine now that we have all this things I measured above apart from agriculture, we will excel abundantly

I've never seen gullible people who are in hurry to believe/accept any shit like Nigerians. How on earth can these so called educated illiterates convince me they've attended school, did project and awarded certificates with these kind of character of accepting anything with no conscience?
When Osama Bin Laden attacked world trade centre many Americans didn't know Islam but they started making research about the religion and the fundamental reason behind the rebellion/terrorism of Osama; that research was responsible for the mass converts of many Americans to Islam. They didn't dwell on the negative propaganda they see or hear abt Islam but checked facts about the religion. Now Islam is the fastest growing religion in US.
So, Nigerians should be very careful of handling their hatred and accepting all sort of political propaganda. Pantami strongly opposing Boko Haram to the extent that he took the risk of debating against Muhammad Yusif so that he could change his mind about the evil contract he brought to Nigeria. Pantami on several times received death threats from Boko Haram for opposing them and many Islamic scholars like Sheikh Albani of Zaria, Danme Shiyya of sokoto and Sheikh Jafar were killed by Boko Haram for taking similar stand as Pantami against Boko Haram.
We've bunch of educated illiterates in Nigeria who are always program to accept propaganda with no strength of research to find facts!
And yet he endorce ISIS abi

the two states making up bendel (Edo and Delta) are bigger than the entire eastern Nigeria in both land mass and resources

so when talking breaking away from Nigeria, Bendel have what it takes to form a country of their own.

so make Igbo's pack well even if you remove Anioma from Bendel, we still better pass Una

So Edo's and Deltans don't be moved we have what it takes to be a nation considering our historical oneness.
Exactly, they keep asking what will happen to edo and delta and they forgot that Benin was already an empire before the British came, e started trade even before the birth of Nigeria, Edo and delta can form a country but if they want to stay alone the edos doesn't lack anything in rebuilding their lost kingdom, they have natural resources, population and everything needed, after all Qatar have 2 million population and yet they are still sending us money

Bini is not joining anybody. They will be a constitutional monarchy like Eswatini and Morocco.
I know them, I've lived with them very well and I can tell you that Bini being a separate Kingdom is not negotiable. The only issue they will have is land tussle with Ijaw. As for the Igbo side within them. Those confused Igbos that shout Bini all the time. The real Bini don't actually want them. Those claiming Bini on nairaland to attach to Ika and Delta Igbo are only doing so to boost number for Nigerian politics. Aside from that Bini don't want them. They are very cautious with anything that is related to Igbo. In Edo state they treat matters involving Igbo side of the state with great caution. Never letting them have any chance
Binis are capable of forming their own country, we have the population and we have the resources

Igbos are already sharing the same country with them and their vile, in Nigeria. I visited an Edo website recently and saw them heaping insults on Igbos, that they were added to Biafra without consultation. They kept insulting Kanu, Biafra, IPOB while prasing the Oba of Benin and the long dead Bini empire. They even claimed that the entire Anioma was Bini people.

None of them could address the recent protest by Uromi people of the incessant rape of Uromi women by herdsmen. None of them could say anything about herdsmen killings in places like Epkoma, Abraka and Auchi. None of them was even talking about the fact that they are all slaves of the Northern caliphate. Its not Igbos killing them, taking over their land and enslaving them but Igbos were their biggest problem. It became clear that most of them have a big inferiority complex and were letting out steam grin grin
Have you heard herdsmen kill any people again in edo? Unlike ebonyi state where herdsmen and running rampage like their mothers bedroom

FatherOfJesus:
This post is going to assume that Ondo, Abia and IMO state are not part of Nigerdelta, however for purpose the name they call it, Nigerdelta republic, I’m sticking to it.

First of all, I’m from Rivers state, specifically Omuma, an Igbo speaking part of rivers state. Personally I think Nigerdelta republic only exist on paper and will most likely not come in to fruition. The diverse nature of the region is stable because it’s under Nigeria, if Nigeria splits today, Nigerdelta will cease to exist.

There are so many tribes in that region with different agenda, we Omuma would mostly like want to join my kinsmen rather join another multiethnic wahala. In Nigerdelta, groups do not agree, the Nigerian Government is trying to foster peace in the region just for the purpose of oil and gas exploitation by using all means including settling traditional and political leaders against our people. I do not think for example, Ibibio and Efik people really want to be in a sole country with IJaws and binis, these tribes hardly share anything in common and forming another country will be another Nigeria-like chaos. In essence, we in nigerdelta, we know that we cannot agree and it’s laughable that IJaws are trying hard to push for another overly multi ethnic nation.

The best bet for Nigerdelta is for Nigeria never to split however If happens to spilt, forget it, no nation can come out of there. It will all come to a matter of alignment and negotiations, the fate of Nigerdelta is that it will split further to aligning with Biafra and oduduwa republic and some might even join Cameroon. Each group in the region will consider their short and long term interests, they will be lots and lots of negotiations and even forceful land ownership.

We in Nigerdelta know this, don’t let us deceive ourselves.
Qatar have a population of 2.5 million and they are very rich, there are countries with lower population, the edos are 8million plus so they are capable of forming their own country
