Race hate in action.
If some people here were born white they'd be the worst racists on earth.
PoliticsRe: What Do You Think About Obama's Latest Speech On His Pastor's Comments? by 4Him(m): 11:55pm On Mar 21, 2008
The speech made nothing worse . . . whites who were looking for an excuse not to vote for a black man now have a valid excuse.
Were Obama to personally execute Rev Wright, it will still not be enough for those hiding their racism behind a mask of self righteousness.

olabowale:
So when he was begging in his prayer at the garden of geshemane and the crying out on the cross, were truly against the spirit of predestination, that has been put on his head. No?

Over to you, David.
Christ came to earth as both fully God and fully man. As God he forgave sins, healed the sick, raised the dead, brought salvation to our hearts and died on the cross for our ransom . . .
As man he was hungry, he slept, he felt pain, he was tired, he pleaded that the cup of the cross would pass over Him

BUT here is the clincher . . . while you sir are stuck mocking His tears at gethsemane, that same Jesus bore His cross, took His stripes and died on the cross for you and me. That same Jesus is risen and is seated on the throne of heaven.

While you mock about Him wishing the cup to pass over Him, He has already partaken of the cup and paid the price.
Dear sir, stop looking back to 2000yrs ago.

If Kosovo deserves freedom, why not Palestinians and if Palestinians of only 3 million people deserve a state, why not Biafrans of more than 35 million people. Hypocrites!!!!!!!!!
this is the real issue, Palestinians deserve their freedom but from whom? Certainly not Israel.
Who are the "palestinians"? the name palestine is greco-roman, was named after the philistines (who had nothing to do with arabs) and was attributed to a jew living in the area pre-1948.

so who are these arabs now claiming to be palestinians? There was no such clamour for a palestinian state until 1988, when the "occupied territories" were in Jordanian and Egyptian hands where were these "palestinian" arabs?

What land are they now claiming? Can Nigerian refugees show up in Canada demanding "independence"?

@4him
this article actually supports isreal but i want you to read between the lines

Why did the British oppose Jewish immigration to Palestine?

Background and History

Early Zionist immigration to Palestine began in the 19th century, while the territory was still under the rule of the Ottoman Turks.
To start with, there have always been Jews in Palestine . . . to continue to perpetuate the lie of Zionist immigration does not make it true.
Yes thousands of jews started migrating back to Israel from all over the world from the 19th century but that shld not be reason to deny that there were thousands more who have ALWAYS lived there.
It was Mark Twain who in the early 1800s declared in his newspaper column that Palestine was a wasteland . . . where were the arabs?

Your question is pretty much a strawman's argument . . . the British opposed our independence too so what is the essence of ur question? That the Brits opposed Israeli immigration to Palestine because it no longer belonged to them?

The most pertinent question you shld be asking is HOW Jordan suddenly became a nation on 85% of the former British mandate of Palestine. There never was a nation called Jordan before then and the first king of Jordan was a hashemite of the saudi royal family. . . .

Rather proganda theorists like you and your ilk would rather cry about the less than 15% of the land that jews currently occupy.
PoliticsRe: If Kosovo, Why Not Palestine? by 4Him(m): 6:10pm On Mar 21, 2008
DRANOEL, start reading history from before the 2nd world war.
I'll be back to debunk your lies . . .

No one is surprised, when you repeat a lie often enough it begins to sound like the truth.
PoliticsRe: If Kosovo, Why Not Palestine? by 4Him(m): 5:42pm On Mar 21, 2008
DRANOEL:
the point is the isrealis were no longer occupying that land till after the world war when the yanks and the brits decided to bring them back and push the arabs out.simple
That is incredulously false. Have you ever bothered to read your history books?
Did you know that there are documented census of Palestine in 1893 and 1902 clearly indicating that there were a sizeable population of jews in Israel?

In my opinion do not engage me if you are still having doubt, period
gbam! nothing i can add here.

You're still having doubts then keep her as a girlfriend . . . save her the added heartache of having to decide what to do with ur ring.

nwando:
let me ask, what is considered engagement.
at what point is a couple considered engaged in your opinion ?
See, SU folks spoilt the true meaning of being engaged. They have used it as their own version of boyfriend and girlfriend that is why most of us dont understand what it means anymore.

I know that marriage is very sweet with the right woman!. . but my point is that the right woman is very hard to find. .
But i believe with time. . .errthing is going to be alright. . .with God cool all things are possible. . .thats 1 thing for sure!
Thanks very much for your kind words. . . . . . . . . God bless u ''hippopotamusly'' wink
thanks  grin
A good woman isnt hard to find, the problem is that most of us dont know exactly what we want (me inclusive). Once we define it the right woman will show up. One other lesson i've learnt . . . there is no perfect woman out there . . . . be ready to take the good with some bad.
RomanceRe: Engaged?is It A Criteria? by 4Him(m): 12:57am On Mar 21, 2008
Nwando, na there me and you go differ.
Engagement should not be the 4yrs it takes to graduate from college.

Christians have bastardised engagement . . . because we dont want to sound like the world, because we dont want to call it dating and the other partner a girlfriend, we pretend that we are "engaged".

This is where it starts for me . . .
- a relationship - can last till marriage or until either one or both of the parties realise that they are not meant for each other. At this stage there is no firm commitment. You are basically just testing the waters.
- Engagement - At this stage i have finally decided to commit to you and you to me. There is no going back from here. I dont believe in all these engagement lasting as long as methuselah's age. Highest 6 months u shld be married.

david it's not that simple.
haven't we all felt at some point we were in love and it turned out not so
that is true, but we didnt wait until we had promised marriage to the woman to cut and run.

®~^Sly^~®:
That is why im so so sick of all these marriage thingy. . . .i can hardly trust any woman at all due to what i have seen. . . .witnessed & experienced. . .
I think what i'ma do at last is to get just a baby girl and thats it. . .like my friend patrick. . .no marriage. . . .just a baby girl and thats all!

Marriage to me. . . . is like a war zone. . .with all these westernized . .(''smart'' educated '' women). . . .sighs! embarassed
My brother, marriage is sweet with the right woman. I aint married yet but i'm looking forward to it with a healthy dose of optimism.
There will be problems but with God no mountain is insurmountable.

nwando:
OK let me come out and say it.

I was engaged to someone else before I met Mr Nwando cool
The other man is happily married today and so am I
it just wasn't meant to be
so is life
I think i have an idea what kind of "engagement" u're talking about. When we were in college we had all this SU brothers and sisters hiding under the canopy of "we are engaged" to hook each other. 99% of those "engagements" never lasted.

That is not my idea of engagement . . . until i am 150% sure i will marry u i will not mention marriage to you AT ALL. At that stage we both are fair game, if i see another chic i like its bye bye.
I believe an engagement is not something to be rushed, it needs prayers and extensive consultations from ur friends, family, her family, ur church . . . once that stage is passed nothing else can separate me from that woman.

All this "we are engaged" . . . just so as to avoid using the "worldly boyfriend and girlfriend" tag is not it.

If a man feels he no longer feels for his fiancee (and same for a woman who falls out of love),he ought to let her know immediately not string her along.
this is the part that gets me . . . how do u fall out of love with someone you wilfully engaged?
I suppose u both had spent a good deal of time in a relationship before making the decision to get married to each other . . .

Once im engaged . . . .their is no going back but that is not stopping me from playing away match. . wink
Engagement to me doesn't in anyway guarantee that the marriage in going to take place!. . . . . wink
Bros, once engaged there is nothing like away match again.
I guess where i might differ with some is that i wont be engaging a girl if i were not 150% sure that is the woman i want to spend the rest of my life with.
Once she has that ring nothing can part us again o.

Engagement no be small thing o.

as long as the man is not married,he is free to change his mind and so is she.
Of course I wouldn't encourage some one to go looking for an engaged man to date
Of course we know they are free . . . but if you think u'd rather marry another man then step up to me and let me know asap. Dont go around my back cheating and then using the "afterall we arent married" excuse.
I see engagement as the first step to marital commitment, if u cant be faithful to that woman who u're not even married to neither can she trust you to be faithful 10yrs after marriage.

There is no contract yet
You can't drag someone to the Isle can you?

If any union was bound to end,I pray it ends a day before the wedding.
But do u mean to advocate that another woman is free to "tap" up the brother while he is engaged to someone else?
