The Jackal:You've been watching too much hollywood. |
4 Play:The US single-handedly forced the Japs into a surrender. The British had most of their naval fleet decimated by the Japs . . . the only thing the British had going for them was the large number of forces they could muster from their colonies. 4 Play:The US didnt need to face the axis powers at all. They could simply have dropped atomic bombs on Japan and went back to sleep leaving the UK and her allies to suffer a heavy defeat in the hands of the Germans. 4 Play:Liberia was not colonised by the US, they simply moved large number of ex-slaves there. 4 Play:We have since thanked them. ![]() |
4 Play:the Brits were the ones enduring bombing raids on London, why didnt they act earlier to stop the war? |
4 Play:They posed more of a greater threat to weaker nations like the UK. The war was primarily won by the US and Russia . . . nations like Britain just like to run around claiming the credit for what they didnt contribute to. The major contribution of the Brits to the world is an unstable Africa and the Middle east. |
Sholeyb:Dont read every nonsense you see in the papers . . . we love to magnify what happens in the US 100 fold. EloSela:At least the Americans didnt have to endure bombing raids and hiding in bomb shelters. The Japs kicked their asses at pearl Harbour . . . well the Japs had their entire bodies kicked, battered and bruised at Yokohama and Nagashaki . . . u ask them, they still have a memorial till today. |
Sholeyb:What is even more funny is that you equate the US to "great" nations like Nigeria and Sierra Leone. The US is financially unstable? ![]() |
Zandra how long did you date? |
Que sera:Its hard but it works. |
Sholeyb:The economy is not the sole criteria for determining which country is better. The UK pound is stronger than the dollar but the average American is more financially stable than his British counterpart who spends every single pound on bills, taxes and yet more bills. Without the millitary might of the US the UK would long have been blown to bits by the Germans in WWII. ![]() |
heinz is a german brand. . . but the english brekki is too much fat. . . .toast, egg, baked beans, bacon, and the lot. . . .too much!
I dont think so, americans dont eat all that "fat" and yet obese ducks are waddling all over the street. |
nwando:Add some to your salad. ![]() |
um eggs and toast is eaten with milk or orange juice. or even fruit. NOT bloody baked beans. Gross.
aha i see you've never tried it before. After you're done u'll rub ur stomach and say thank you Jesus. |
Is Heinz baked beans English or American? Its the best thing to go with egg and toast . . . the English at least know how to eat breakfast. |
bawomolo:I'm stuck . . . is the answer x = 5 +/- 3i I'm having to find the square root of a negative number. |
a = xSince a = x therefore 2(a-x) = 0 a-x = 0 Therefore you cant get 2=1, what you have is 0=0 |
bawomolo:Area of trapezoid = h {(b1+b2)/2} Since b1 is 3cm less than b2 - b2 = b1 + 3 Substitute into equation . . . 6{(b1+b1+3)/2} <= 87 6b1 + 9 <= 87 Solving for b1 . . . maximum value = 13 |
donchichi:If you use this equation you dont get a round figure. He cant have mowed the lawn 5.6 times. |
uspry1:Almost every high school graduate in Nigeria takes the JAMB exam in their final yr. JAMB is valid for only one yr after which you must retake the test if you intend to apply to another university. JAMB admissions are not based on scores only, your state of origin, intended program of study, school you applied to all matter a great deal. For instance you need to score extremely high to get into a medical program if u're from the south . . . not so for the north. |
tRoOE:your grammar is atrocious. Did you go to school at all? |
Imani:The level of hatred some express for folks they've never met left me completely speechless. ![]() |
I dont fail to read this thread as often as i can. Phew . . . Zandra is some lucky chic. |
Mitchel Obi and Larry Izamoje |
Perhaps its because no matter how exotic the place you took her to, no matter how much money you spend on her and how interesting the outing is, she just doesnt think you're worth the effort. |
JayFK:has anyone tried to force it into ur history class? |
the idea of us knowing who the moderators are is in poor taste. It were better kept secret to avoid accusations of bias and unfair handling of issues later. I for one dont want to know who the new moderators are. |
This is not news, what is news is that the left have not found a way to blame this on Israel yet. bawomolo:these "critics" are forgetting to tell us that textbooks for children in the middle east do not include Israel on the map of the world. Which suggests arab children are being taught that Israel does not exist. |

I'm not sure you bothered to read the purpose of the blood in the book of Hebrews. Read chapters 9-10 then let us discuss. |
JeSoul:I'm confused on this issue myself, my mom uses it all the time and i assumed it must be right. I've been looking at some commentaries on it and so far i havent seen any bible verse that advocates the pleading of the blood in the context we use it. However there is one difference - Rev 12: 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. |

Matthew 26:28 For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins. 1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. DRANOEL:The wishes of the arab league you say? Here it is - The Arab Heads of State have agreed to unite their political efforts at the international and diplomatic level to eliminate the effects of the aggression and to ensure the withdrawal of the aggressive Israeli forces from the Arab lands which have been occupied since the aggression of June 5. This will be done within the framework of the main principles by which the Arab States abide, namely, no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with it, and insistence on the rights of the Palestinian people in their own country. That is culled from the Khartoum resolutions of Sept 1, 1967 which is readily available via google. What arrangements do you envisage should be made that requires Israel to give up yet more land? What lands shld it give up? Do you plan to argue that the Saudi Kings of Jordan gives up an inch of the 85% of the mandate of palestine they presently hold? When these lands were in the hands of Jordan and Egypt for 19yrs were u asking them to give it up? The most galling bit of your entry is your idea that Israel's existence is contingent on the desires of the arab league. The very same arab league who encamped around Israel to destroy her in 1948 and 1967? We already know the "desires of the arab league" . . . it is expressed in the Hamas article, Hisbullah's constitution, Syria's non-recognition of Israel, the fact that no jew is allowed within the borders of Jordan and Saudi Arabia, Ahmedinejad's wish that Israel be pushed into the sea and the PLO's mantra of "from the Jordan to the sea, palestine will be free". Pretty easy to figure out what those desires are really except to those like you who hate the truth. |
EccentricJ:If that is true then go for her. You wont be committing any crime going back to where ur heart truly is. You will hurt ur present girl in the process but better a broken heart than a lifetime of regrets in a marriage. whatever happens you can take solace in the fact that u at least tried to see if it would work again. EccentricJ:O boy . . . man no be small pikin again o! |
