Look, let me help: I was just talking to an associate. A major christian man. He was telling me that he was blessed and highly favored. I kind of reflected just this once, back to the arguments/debates on Nairaland. Here on Nairaland, the christians always reinforce that humans have inherited "Original sin," from Adam, our father.

I am saying to myself as I listen to this guy, and of course you David (Aburo tio fe pe mi; Its okay and don't worry about it. I just want to point it out to you), Sheniqua, etc, that how do you cope with this duality;

On one hand you have original sin that will never leave you. On the other hand, you are highly favored and blessed.

How can these two; Negative (the sin that you inherited) and, blessed and highly favored (your own claims without telling us who is the one that blessed you and highly favored you, regardless of your evilness)?

On the issue of original sin, you are wrong when you say it can never leave you. Lets use an analogy; as a male you automatically inherit your surname . . . you didnt give urself. BUT does that mean you cant go to the law court when you turn 18 to have your name changed? Of course you have that right.
So it is with original sin, as soon as we were born into the world we inherited (NOT sin persay) but the very nature of sin. We inherited a weak flesh, prone to be disobedient, prone to error and unwilling to yield to the things of the Spirit. But Christ came and through His blood we are now "legally" able to change our surnames from "son of man" to "son of God".
Christ went to court on our behalf, His blood paid the price for our sin and thus through Him we shed that nature of sin to become clothed with God's own nature.

Does that mean we will never make mistakes again? No, just like a few people will still associate you with ur father's old surname, so will your flesh still be prone to temptation.

the quality of debate on this forum is now apalling.

This should be turned to the Nadal Open whats the use even if Federer gets to the final he would still lose to Nadal i mean the way he breezed past Djokovic was too scary to watch

Problem is Nadal is even much closer on grass than a lot of people give him credit for. I dont fancy his chances very much on hard courts though because of the problem it gives his knees. But hey, 2 masters titles, 1 ATP title + hopefully FO and Wimbledon, a few semi final placements during the hard court season and masters cup shld count as a terrific yr.

haba, if monfils gets to the final it would be a completely one-sided thrashing. I'd be expecting 6-1, 6-2, 6-1 to Nadal. Federer vs Nadal at least would be a more respectable scoreline.

Mitt Romney also merely suspended his own campaign so technically he's still a candidate but we all know the RNC can only present one candidate in Nov. The same thing for the DNC, there cannot be 2 candidates in Nov sooner or later someone will just have to remove Hillary's blinkered glasses.

I suppose she still finds it difficult to fathom how she went from virtually a shoe-in for the nomination last yr to also-ran.

Yes, Marriage has its own purpose. And with that law of supply and demand, not everyone is supposed to be married. Not enough men to go around anyways and theres enough competition BUT women's life is much more important than for it to be defined by whether they have a man or not.

you're getting it mixed up. The average nigerian family raise their daughters to be independent, smart women first but do not fail to remind them that marriage is equally important. Are you trying to tell us that married women were raised to see their lives as unimportant and unfulfilling? ARe you saying women who are married with kids are not smart?

If you dont like marriage good, stop trying to make excuses why u think everyone else should toe ur line. Marriage is the best thing 2 people can share.
