Whet did you people hear that Android5 is coming out june?
U need to either change the type.of.sites u visit, or stop taking every unsubstantiated rumor u.read online as the gospel.truth

Google releases an iteration of android once a year following a clear pattern. Besides when they announce and release source code is not the end, most devices dont even have ics yet and prolly wont get official releases till say may, so.how can google release version 5 in june? Already ics has had two incremental updates quietly to version 4.03 so


Funny thing is why complain? U prefer ur os years old? U dont have to upgrade, stay at ur version like that na, aint by force to upgrade app compatibility is not googles fault but the app developers. Thats why google releases SDK and source code way before.the os.itself starts rolling out. Na since november ics.don dey available, 3 months later lazy devs still have not updated their app, u dey blame google?

for lagging games, well truth is, unless u have a top of the line phone with GPU, a lot of games will lag, especially the new ones.

however, there are ways to help it.

1. special video drivers for your device, for me its hit and miss. tried it once with a rubbish stock rom, was able to play PES on my 354mb ram fone, look into it, but combined with an AOSP ROM, its pretty powerful

2. special ROMS. there are special gaming ROMS depending on your device anyway. but a lot of devs specialise in building that.

for me, when i was into trying gaming, i flashed a stock AOSP rom(thats a stock rom with most apps, even default apps and services removed), and further removed almost every damn thing from the rom leaving most of my ram free. the ROM was like 64MB when i was through. RAM useage was like 25MB after booting. i then installed the special GPU drivers

i backed it up on my SD card.


i would wipe and install it just to game. when i tired, i would wipe it and restore my normal ROM.
therefore flashing ROMS is a matter of course for me, even hourly.


it definitely helps if you run a custom firmware thats OverClocked too. BUT NA YOUR BATTERY GO SUFFER AM OOOOO

How many N9 's did Nokia sell, and how many
Lumias did Nokia sell? It's an interesting thing
to ponder, because estimates by Tomi T.
Ahonen seem to indicate that, despite decidedly
undermarketing the thing, the N9 faired
considerably better in the marketplace than the
Lumia did .



Like I said, Nokia is one of those companies
which doesn't hand out clear shipping or sales
figures (like Apple does with its shipping
figures). However, Ahonen's estimates seem to
be based on some relatively sound reasoning,
and even if he's off by large margins, it still
ain't looking good for Nokia.


The first funny bit is that Windows Mobile (you
know, the old and versatile girl) still appears to
be faring much better than Windows Phone 7.
About 890000 devices running Windows Mobile
were sold in the US last quarter (according to
Nielssen's figures on Q4 ), compared to 520000
devices running Windows Phone 7. This is most
likely largely a corporate thing, but still - it's
pretty impressive.


Anywho, according to Ahonen's math and
estimates, Nokia sold 600000 Lumia's last
quarter (Q4 ). Nokia's biggest and most
important product launch in history, and it only
sold 600000 of them. That's not good. The
Nokia N9 , which saw a far smaller product
launch than the Lumia (no TV advertisements,
no Microsoft-sponsored marketing campaign,
only launched in small and/or less wealthy
countries), saw between 1. 5 and 2. 0 million
sales in Q4.


Again - these are estimates, so be on your
toes. However, they're so wide apart that all
parties have to be off by wide margines before
this turns into something that looks good for
Nokia.

In other words, the Nokia N9 outsold the Lumia
by 3 to 1 - even though the N9 is considerably
more expensive. I'm starting to see why Elop
was trying so hard to turn the N9 into a failure.

and its MeeGo operating system were better
than he let on. A good selling N9 was not part

truth is, the new HUD thingy is actually very welcome by me, it solves a major gripe i have had with ubuntu for years.

i hate all the indexing apps on ubuntu, they always manage to slow down my pc and somehow they never get to do contextual search properly.

i deal with lots and lots of documents daily and i usually have to simply search for a word i think will be present in the document im looking for. works well on windows start menu.

this looks promisin. i just hope they dont get over excited with it and remove the menus altogether, its still a windows world and i dont think anyone coming from windows will immediately understand having to work with just the keyboard and no menus from the word go
