international breaks are just a pain in the <<

lord, one more week . . . . . . . . .

meanwhile, will someone start a decent arsenal footy discussion pls. and folks like coogar need not contribute. go discuss the new toilet arrangement at old trafford on your thread or something.

and enough with the insults please. abeg.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

ok, so who will stand up to be counted in the midfield this season? cos imma thinking that Jack wont be useful till december at least. pimpong (c)  dont look like he has any finesse in his boots. im a big fan, mind. i think we need that type of player now, built like a brick shytehouse, battering ram, no frills, thunder & blood type that it grin grin

the new oldies cannot be trusted to last 4 months fit, esp now that they are at arsenal (can someone tell wenger to go sacrifice to ye gods that he offended grin grin grin grin grin) so. . . . . .

way i see it, i think we need to shift our play pattern back out to the wings like the scummies, that way we dont need a midfield maradona that much.
problem is you need folks with very high productivity down both flanks and u need 4 of them 2 subs who are effective like the first choices.

leaves a dilemma, for me arshavin is not part of the team anymore, and he seems to have lost his productive touch too.

walcott. . .  sigh, thank God he at least knows where the goal is these days, but you really have to be a gambler to splunk the rent on that boy bringing the A game to the table. plus the guile and intelligence needed (contrast his play with arshavin of blessed memory or now gervinho and u see wat i mean). he is ok i guess, but it does not take much to take him on for decent teams. meaning when its tight, he aint the go-to guy.

Miyachi, Oxencart, unknown quantities. also for me too young to get beyond 4-5 decent games a whole season.

gervinho, large hopes, large faith. hope he #staysonhisfeet.      have been praying this guy gets his final ball issue sorted soon, but gaddemitmahn, he is something good down those channels. question to be answered is can he shoulder an entire teams aspirations? we need a marquee player now as we always have.

so the thing is: do we continue midfield play or do we vary it. i say we try to change, hell everyone seems to have us sussed out these days maybe the change of personnel will be the excuse to tweak the play pattern.
we don't run games like we used to no more embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed embarassed

#ALMUNIA IS STILL AT ARSENAL (i feel sick whenever i remember this.) is vito manonne around now? cos if the regular freakish run starts and almunia gets near the emirates pitch again, im gonna shoot him myself

U are far too kind o. Anybody that still has issues with who or how much arsenal signs players is just being a dayokanu.
AW made more than 7 signings and someone still 'can't believe' 15M is our biggest signing. The buy of the season in the whole of england last term (chikarito) cost half the amount we shelled out for Ox.
These days money has lost so much value that 15M sounds like 1.5M to some people and I blame that on chelski and man shittys.
50M pound striker that scored 1 goal in half a whole season grin
bros the "cant believe" is to the effect that i most definitely cannot accept why the boy cost that much. a nobody smallie for 15 million when we were crying out for experienced regulars. we are not man city, 15 mill is too much to have in the reserves or youth team wasting away.

i definitely dont mean the money was too small, or is our "transfer record" I MEANT IT WAS TOO MUCH!!!!
the differing alaroro standards arsene has is just confusing. that boi is never worth that much and we shouldnt have paid that much for him. simple

or u have joined dudu in believing that buying overpriced youngsters and paying them oversized salaries is the best thing for the club?
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread (the Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn) by 4llerbuntu(m): 2:18pm On Sep 01, 2011
Anyways, its all good.

Peter gill just pointed something out and im kinda curious.
almunia is still at arsenal and reportedly earns 60k. Thats criminal

The chap is basically crap and surplus to requirement. Why keep him on and complain abouna dem sabi.t not having wages?

All these overpaid mediocres are the reason arsenal is regressing with the excuse of not paying big wages. Add that 60k to some more and pay a world class player. Or what will almunia do that vito manonne cant?

Anyways na dem sabi. Also hear that wenger refused to pay arteta 70k he was getting at everton meaning he earns lower at arsenal. Wow, real ijebu sturvs oooo
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread:Home Of The Blues!!!! by 4llerbuntu(m): 11:47am On Sep 01, 2011
the LFC supporters club would like to thank Chelsea for their contributions to their revival.

With the £62m given to them for Torres and Meireles, they have effectively purchased Suarez, Downing, Adam, Enrique, and Coates.

they therefore say that "please do check in regularly for more business, in 2 years we will be willing to sell suarez for 80 million" signed- LFC supporters club president

please, who Knows how to get USB Gamepads to work on ubuntu?

im talking some crappy generic usb gamepad.

lsusb lists it as Dragonrise Inc,

so its detected.

there am stuck, im trying to get it detected for some windows games i surprisingly found to work in wine when they perform poorly on winxp on the same pc.

yup, stranger things happen. im suddenly discovering a lot of games i find difficult to run in windows because of VGA woes and ram are working quite well in WINE.

thing is im not even sure it will work for native ubuntu games, cos i dunno any game on ubuntu that uses the gamepad, all the ones i ever tried use the keyboard and mouse.

or maybe i should install windows drivers for it in WINE? huh huh huh huh

not really into this gaming thingy

Ok ok yall need to chill before u encourage dudu and dobosky to predict a treble.

Ok. Thats that. Now lets see what wenger is made of. No more excuses even by debosky.

Not complaining but still cannot believe the most expensive addition was oxencart chamberpot! As in what the f? 15mill? The kid had better be the second coming of maradona o.

Anyways here is a toast to a winning run, till we meet citeh at least cos dat one na hmmmnnnnnn o. #justkidding.

To The Left, To The Left
Arsene Wenger, July 11, 2011: "We have Kieran Gibbs, Armand Traore and Thomas Vermaelen who can play at left back so we have what we need."

August 29, 2011: Traore has a medical at QPR and Arsenal make a bid for Fenerbahce left-back Andre Santos.

What a difference an 8-2 thrashing makes.

where do we go from here?
that is the question. and frankly, at this rate we will soon start hearing of dressing room unrest and players facing off wenger.

cos honestly, all the credibility he has is gone. he has been consistently lying to everyone's face, refuses to do obvious things, and not helping those boys any bit, or do you think oxencart chamberpot and coquelin are happy they were put in such invidious position yesterday?

anybody who didnt play yesterday must have been secretly happy they did not. . . . . . .

even much worse is we can reliably expect that van persie and vermaelen will jump ship by january.

best thing for all now is for this board and wenger to gently ease themselves out of things at arsenal.

if not, wenger wont last till december, and the rot wont stop till we end up in the championship
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread (the Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn) by 4llerbuntu(m): 4:21am On Aug 29, 2011
frankly, the phrase "too big to go down" rings in my head.

and yes its a distinct possibility.

have you seen the form book? or the fact that last season's failings have moved into the new season so smoothly i not worrisome?

at this point i care less about wenger or signings etc, i just want my club's dignity back ASAP

SHAMEFUL
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Arsenal Fan Thread (the Night Is Darkest Just Before The Dawn) by 4llerbuntu(m): 4:17am On Aug 29, 2011
* As a club, Arsenal have been shamed. The boys, who to their infinite credit gave it their all from first minute to last, can be forgiven for being novices sent out to do men's work, but the old men who sent them as disorganised, unprepared, out-of-their-depth lambs for a slaughter carry nothing but the heaviest burden of shame. The board. The medical department. The management. All of them have disgraced what used to be a proper football club.

As a club, Arsenal deserved that. So much and more. Eight wasn't enough punishment for what Arsenal have been allowed to become. As a club, they're just big business gone to footballing ruin.

* As for Arsene Wenger, to send out a team of this ilk is nothing other than rank mismanagement deserving of the ultimate response. Blind to his own failings, he is in a crisis that is close to untenable. He'll survive, he might even finally open his chequebook and open his eyes to his deplorable failures, but his reputation will never recover.

* Don't be fooled into thinking that the result was an inevitable consequence of boys against men. Average age of 23 played an average age of 23. The difference was one of preparation, of class, of management. They might have been weakened, but there are no excuses for Arsenal being so pathetically weak and disorganised. A Sir Alex Ferguson team would never ever take to the pitch in such a state of unreadiness; that is the final damnation of Wenger's failed reputation.

* Or perhaps not. No, the ultimate damnation is Ferguson's sympathy for Wenger and the impression, probably real, that he actually wanted United to stop scoring.

* Arsenal should hire Gary Neville as their defensive coach. Failing that, a defensive coach to teach a few basics would do as a start. Just how could a once great manager field a team that didn't even know if it had a clue. In defence, to exaggerate what it actually was, Arsenal were worse than shambolic. Were they playing offside or not? Were they supposed to be playing a high line or not? Who knows, because nobody on the pitch seemed to know either. "It's just so poor it's unbelievable," opined Alan Smith in commentary. Well, quite. Only the away support offered any resistance.
