@Bigben431 Seriously, you are talking utter garbage. The fundamental thing, if this story is true, is that we have a local cement company that purports to be as valuable as the world's largest cement company. Effectively, investors are going to be fleeced as they will be buying into a hideously inflated valuation at that price with Dangote on the other side of the trade. |
Cristalz:Word on the street Mukina can't deny it. ![]() |
Cristalz:Na only ''missionary'' DK sabi with Muki. He doesn't do her from behind. |
^^^^ Their excuses no dey ever stop. I heard Wenger blamed PDP rotation policy for his refusal to win a trophy. He said the PDP agreed that it's not Arsenal's turn to win trophies for the next 50 years as they have won enough. |
dayokanu:Wankott wey dey run around aimlessly like a headless chicken doused with devil beans. Van Perv na part-time player, they don't pay him enough. He's too busy looking for chicks to rape and throwing tantrums like teenage girl. |
Vieira:What an insult to Barca! Arsenal is to Barca what West Brom is to Utd. Please, don't mention Arsenal on the same level as Barca again. People may think you are crazy and section you under the Mental Health Act for such a lunatic comparison. |
dayokanu:Trophy-phobia. Heard they are allergic to winning trophies. It's against Wenger's religion to win a trophy. |
I'm not a fan but an Arsenal sympathiser. In the spirit of kindness, I thought I open a thread where Gayners can do what they know best, bemoan the decay of their once great club. As that great sage Emmanuel Adebayor noted, Arsenal will soon be overtaken by Man City. You folks should take note of the words of a wise man such as Ade. |
^^^^^ Lamenter-In-Chief, shut up! Is my thread not closer to the truth? Let the lamenting begin. Now that RVP is crocked, excuses will start pouring in. |
Most Arsenal fans prefer my thread. I don't know why it was locked. My thread was opened by popular demand. |
naijatoday:Well done for pointing this out. There is something fishy about this valuation. |
Why you dey duplicate topic? I start thread for una here, gayners no dey ever follow rules:https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-510372.0.html |
As una thread don reach 100 pages, I thought I start a thread for Arsenal, being a thoughtful and kind fella. This is a thread where we can anticipate another trophyless season and you Gayners can exercise your man crush for Wenger. |
follypimpi:So no excuse for una. You can still use RVP as excuse. |
HNIC Start thread na, or are you too depressed? I think HNIC has given up on Gunners. Damn, this thread is just a tale of misery. |
Cristalz No get missus . . . still searching o. It's just a get to know you kinda thing anyway. I'll buzz you later on IM. |
What if the money had been lodged in Nneka's account? |
HNIC:You mean the job of finishing trophyless? @Cristalz How have you been, married yet? I'm coming to Abuja in a couple of weeks. Fancy meeting up? |
Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie has been ruled out of action until the middle of October.Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1309881/Robin-van-Persie-injury-rocks-Arsenal-striker-ruled-weeks.html#ixzz0ysNgp85f Gunners don get excuse. |
tkb417: Gallup tracks daily the percentage of Americans who approve or disapprove of the job Barack Obama is doing as president. Results are based on telephone interviews with approximately 1,500 national adults; Margin of error is ±3 percentage pointshttp://www.gallup.com/poll/113980/gallup-daily-obama-job-approval.aspx See why you are a consummate oaf? All such studies are based on a small sample which is a representation of the larger populace being studied. Zuwo, were you expecting them to sample 1.5million people? Please upload your research here, I can't wait. |
tkb417:Counter wetin? You see why I said you type like a deranged oaf. You said you are a researcher and your research desks has done some work on the subject matter, please upload it so that we can view it or keep your conjectures to yourself. A research analyst spoke with 10,000 people Shocked Shocked Shocked and made a actegorical statement about 150million people The 10000 are a random sample representing the population. Ewu nama, that is how such data is collated. The only research you do is on how to pick up chicks from female Uni hostels. Shut up and go and watch Rooney. |
tkb417:You are typing like a deranged oaf. Where is your published research which will rebut these claims? |
Knowing how benighted and resistant to empirical data my fellow Nigerians can be, I thought I paste a couple more examples of white people lying against us: The general prevalence of poverty in Nigeria is paradoxical because the country is one of the biggest oil-producing countries in the world, yet 70% of the population lives on less than US$1 a day.http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&source=hp&q=poverty+in+Nigeria&meta=&btnG=Google+Search See a quote from one of these white people, Dr. Isaac Busayo Oluwatayo, who hates Nigeria so much :The distribution of respondents by income level is shown in Table 9 and it is clear that over half (55.4 percent)Dr. Isaac Busayo Oluwatayo is a Lecturer in the Department of Agricultural Economics and Extension Services, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, University of Ado-Ekiti, Nigeria. He had his PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria.

http://www.iese.ac.mz/lib/publication/II_conf/CP41_2009_Oluwatayo.pdf Well, who needs research when we can conjecture figures out of thin air to make us feel better about Naija. |
http://allafrica.com/stories/201001280540.html The 2010 Global Monitoring Report (GMR) of the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which revealed that about 92 per cent of the Nigerian population survive on less than $2 daily, while about 71 per cent survive on less than $1 daily, is a major embarrassment for the supposed 'Giant of Africa.'Take your pick:http://www.google.co.uk/search?client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&channel=s&hl=en&source=hp&q=poverty+in+Nigeria&meta=&btnG=Google+Search I suppose it's all lies. These white people will go to any length to rubbish our image. |
@TKB You are asking me for research on this matter. Do you think the innumerable studies showing that most Nigerians live on less than a dollar a day is the product of the kind of brainless conjecture you guys produce? The claim is the product of research, not one but numerous studies. Researchers have gone to various parts of Nigeria and come back with the same conclusion. Honeric even acknowledges this by stating that he has been hearing the same thing for over a decade, a tacit admission that the claim is not a one off but has effectively stood the test of time. My own personal experience is that a lot of Nigerians scrape by on peanuts. |
honeric01: Weed is bad for you. Most of una wey dey stay for places like Lagos and PH are as clueless about many parts of Naija as someone living in London. Please don't give me crap about your occasional visits to rural areas. As someone who grew up in a small town, I think I've a better idea of income levels outside the big cities. Most people's annual income will be between 10k and 14k, by the time you divide that by the size of the household, you come up with less than a dollar a day. My personal experience is backed up by research by disinterested researchers. The only reason you are ranting is out of your warped sense of national pride. Immediately you see British attached to a perceived ''belittling'' of Naija, inferiority complex takes over your brain. |
What's exactly wrong with Ade's comments? City are seen as strong rivals to Arsenal and if they notch up a winning run, they're going to be seen as the biggest threat to the big boys, Chelsea and Man Utd. When you guys quit sucking Wenger's knob, you will start to reason. |
HNIC:Evans has been cleared of the charges unless you know more than the authorities. |
Nigerians lack an evidence based culture. We're not statisticians or demographers but people who are trained to conduct these studies have concluded, on numerous occasions, that a majority of Nigerians still live on less than a dollar a day. Crucially, these people have little incentive to claim that Nigerians are poor. I don't accept Govt stats because our Govt has an incentive to spice up our image but even the Naija Govt stats do not contradict the claim that a majority of Nigerians live on less that a dollar a day. Folks have visited the nooks and crannies of Nigeria conducting surveys on this issue and fantasists here are telling us that their cocooned life experience in cities is more informative. Most Nigerians do not have access to electricity and do not have a mobile phone. How many people in your daily life do you usually meet who don't have either? The suggested poverty level makes sense given the size of our economy compared to our population. |
Nchara:They're all fronts. Not so sure of Dangote though. Others I remember are Wale Tinubu, Emeka Offor and Peter Okocha. |
Another person fronting for some politician. |
