OluchiDelly:Hi Oluchi, nice job, I appreciate your write up. Keep it up. Please recommend a contact herbicide and a pesticide. Cheers |
The question is, is this information true? Did fg released this information? Is it not fake news? How many federal road are there in SE? Is it suggesting that SE has more federal roads that other region? And how come it's MASSOB that is talking, What happened to the igbo governors? What happened to igbo senators? What happened to igbo reps? Question things before reacting ... |
okoroemeka:Thanks for your response, we decided to spray herbicide again before the second plough. It will all be done this week hopefully. |
olakunleben16:Hi, I am glad I am taking the step myself. I am giving the project my all. I am still reading and trying to come up with a more suitable approach to my planting. I am still going through oga @okoroemeka and @Wizs2019 approach, hopefully I will have a balance approach. I have not started disturbing my ogas because I want something more concrete on ground before doing so. My 1 hectare has been ploughed, I was suppose to concluded on beds this week only for me to get tpaid the farm yesterday and noticed the workers haven't done much, not their fault though, the land has a lot of elephant grass so we are doing another ploughing. A truck of manure has been deposited on the land, though we will use 2 trucks. I have equally gotten drip irrigation system. So all we are waiting for is for the land to be ploughed the second time so that it will be easy to make beds and set the irrigation. Then I can start disturbing my ogas for guidance. I was suppose to send @Wizs2019 email but I am having challenges changing my email on nairaland to the one I can access. I still need that guidance. @olakunleben16 it's not a problem at all if you would like to visit. In fact I need someone that can link me to abokis that stay around and can make beds, I need them urgently. I need more worker to hasten the process. Contact me Kells.kola88@gmail.com

Wizs2019:Oh my, I have been looking forward to this response. I will do just that. Truly grateful . Regards |
okoroemeka:Thank you boss, I will do just that, I will patiently wait and I will equally update this space as I proceed on my journey into the agric world. I am waiting for @Wizs2019 response on farm visitation. I pray he grants me this request. Once again Thank you |
Wow what a read... So it took me 2 days to go from page 1 to page 39. I must honestly commend Mr Emeka for this thread, it has really broaden my knowledge though I am still far from where I want to be. It's past 2 am and can't sleep, pondering and calculating on my next move. My little story I got a job, started on the 1 first of August and quit on the second because I am determined to make success out of farming. Not like I have all the needed tools and resources but I believe with kind people on this forum, I will be able pull it off. Right now, I am really counting on Everybody from @okoroemeka to @Wizs2019, @FarmTech @FMCASH and a host of others I may not have mentioned. I currently have 1 hectare of land close to ofada in ogun state and I have commenced land preparation basically on hermicide and ploughing. I intend to plant 3 different crops on the land including cucumber occupying one acre. I have plans for drip irrigation, staking etc. I was thinking pepaper on the other acre but since Oga Emeka is advising against it due to rain I am thinking of replacing it with another crope. While on the last acre I intend farming potato on it. Just to have a balance of from a high risk to low risk crops. I am hoping with your kind advice, gestures and help I will be able to pull this off. @Wizs2019 I will really apprecrate it if I can come meet you in person on your farm. Once aagain, i am glad to have come across this page. Thank you |

gurujoe:I was almost setting up one and someone told me it's not profitable, you did barely break even. That if I make up to 50k a month after expenses then I am lucky. 50k is just ridiculous to me. Please how true is this. Thanks |

I will say for once the people of Niger delta and NDDC in particular are using their head for once. These are the kind of developmental project people of this region should be working on instead of waiting endlessly on the mercy of Abuja. The gas here is in abundance so powering the plants shouldn't be an issue. My only worry now is hopefully it will be implemented. |
![]() What nonsense. To me, she is the one who assaulted the man. Fine the man might have been guilty of damaging your car, but what's the essence of holding on to him when he tried running when you could have simply taken a shot of the car, plate number and necessary information for the police. You don't have to make physical contact with the man. In this case, it's the man that has a case of assault and not you. |
Threebear:This must be a joke |
Harrynight:App development. ![]() |
africangirl000:First of all the skill you listed has been saturated... fashion designing, baking, makeup artistry, bead making My question to you here is, is it better to have these skills or not having at all? If truly they are saturated, how many have we exported to atleast countries like Ghana, Benin, Togo etc. Not to even go too far how well are these industries grown in the whole of Nigeria and not Lagos alone(hence my 180million potential customers) How well are we competing with the foreign counter part in this country. If I were you, how differently can I harness these skills would be my concern so as to stand out. I will say again, use your brain as I will equally love to use mine. |
If I had learnt a skill or two before graduating from the university, I wouldn't have spent time trying to secure a job. After getting the job, the question now is, am I satisfied? Nothing beats being empowered with skill sets to make a living for yourself other than waiting for hand-outs. If I have the time, I will like to partake in this opportunity, there is this particular skill I am yearning for right now and I need an expert to put me through. Also, I will get to benefit directly from this government and Nigeria as a whole for the first time in my small existence. |
africangirl000:Come on use your brain, we have over 180million people in this country with yearning needs that have not been met. So what exactly do you mean by "over-saturated" We still import the smallest of things, we still look out of this country for the fabrication or construction of somethings. Even China with her enormous Arsenal of citizens with vocational skills will not say it's over-saturated. Now where the problem lies is that people don't make use of what they've learnt but rather still looking for the white collar jobs or how to get rich quick forgetting that everything has its gestation period. We will get there. |
![]() If I am Buhari, I will use Lagos as my sample project. Almost Everything in this state is mind sweetening, the developmental stride is visible to the blind and this is what we ought to be seeing in Nigeria after 3years of Mr Buhari's reign. Lagos is on auto pilot. |
rossyc: ![]() Exactly my point. Be slim and not sick |
rossyc:She over did it, trying to look like the American model. Those guys are practically bones covered with flesh working about the place. ![]() |
Tanyabee:Na aaa, I don't like overweight ladies, come on that's sickness. But it's not for her to be looking like Nigeria's problem. She is just too skinny. You can practically see her vj protruding through her swim suit. Every extreme of human weight is Bad and should/can be corrected. |
I have nothing to say |
I am sorry to say, but this girl needs to put on some flesh is she on hunger strike or something. |
![]() Come on guys, we all know this is not Nigeria. The name and image of the country is soiled enough, let us not add to it. Not Nigeria |
Spaxon:You will be surprised how many of us lead a quiet life. Devoid of drama friends come with. Notwithstanding, will send you a message. Do respond. ![]() |
Spaxon:Hahahaha what can I say, I might just have a need for a good friend at this time. What do you say? |
Spaxon:So can we be friends. ![]() |
Divay22:Lol You will hardly find me commenting on nairaland posts. I don't know what got into me tonight. We'll my commenting comes with season . So I am sure not the someone. And as for your being single, your comment on the other trend was quite subjective. Though I read all other comments and I couldn't agree more and that's why I had to modify. Right now, I am guessing you're going to be... ![]() |
Spaxon:Believe me, I know this. I have been bitten by a very close friend now number 1 enemy just because of a relationship. Story for another day. Anyways I am glad you're still open to love. You never can Tell where it is lurking. |
