Let me share my own here, went for an interview, spent the whole day at the venue, was the last to be interviewed, the HR went through my cv and credential and told me that to be honest, that I suppose to be the most qualified for the job, but her hands are tired at the moment, she started asking me y I came last, I told her that I didn't want to argue with other applicant, that I went out to buy a bottle of water, when I came back they hv shifted my bag to the last chair, I comfortable went there seat and relaxed, that was the reason I was the last to enter her office, she said that her hand are tired at the moment, that there was nothing she could do, I thank her and walked out, I was at the get leaving the premises, the receptionist ran after me and said that they re calling me, I became hopeful, I went back there they ask me y I want to leave my former place of work, I told them that it is personer, they said OK, that I can go, I left there, after a week she called and said that the CEO want to see me, I told her that I was not in town, 1 Like |

AntiWailer: and you think a skilled programmer will collect 200k...so what is the difference between the foreign company that pays someone 30k and you that want to pay a skilled programmer 200k. |

auntysimbiat: Please read what you wrote and see if it makes any sense. If he takes a job of 30k which will require his full time without being able to do any side hustle, will that make any sense. Can he feed, transport himself, pay for rent, cloth himself with 30k.Paying him 30k means they are telling him to sustain himself whichever way financially even if it means stealing. Is it because our silly govt pays minimum wage of 30k and you still see the workers building houses, training kids in school etc.If the govt was wise wont this be a source of concern as to how they are making ends meet. Thats why in advance countries you have what is called a fixed minimum wage per hour which is enough to cater for basic needs. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

Ten06: God bless you. I believe the OP messed up. When someone says you would be paid according to the prevalent minimum wage in your country, it doesn't imply 18 or 30k. I think the OP lost that job based on his aggressive ignorance. 15 Likes |

auntysimbiat:When they said they will pay with minimum wage doesn't mean he will be paid 30k, you should understand that the lowest paid worker eg security guard now earn 30k. It mean the salary will be calculated base on minimum wage 3 Likes |

lilwetdick: BRO! I know people who earn as much as 3,000 US Dollars in Nigeria who work remotely for companies outside of the US & they live in Nigeria. Not that I heard from someone, I know them Face to Face. Chevron doesn't pay the same International Rates, Yes. But they pay considerably very high, that even earning that same Salaries in US would be good enough for you. Imagine earning 800k in Nigeria in Chevron which is more than 2K USD in US. You are still doing very well. Your knowledge is limited. So just rest abeg. 7 Likes |

lilwetdick: U don't have to be experienced before u are skilled as a programmer If u leave school with skills in programming languages, u are skilled but not experienced. Shut up and stop arguing blindly. That is the trade I av done for more than a decade. I have managed and recruited a lot of programmers during that period. Before you argue with me on what u know nothing about, once again, shut d fck up. 9 Likes 2 Shares |

Adakintroy:true. Americans exploit cheap labour forces in china but skilled/educated labour is a different. They earn better. Mayb not as much as d u.s equivalent but better. Also, the chinese economy is a tampered one. The govt manipulates the market forces to meet its economic objectives rather than let market forces operate freely. Chinese are no push-overs! . Theyre sense of national pride is at an all time high. China is the next biggest economy . It will eclipse the u.s. 2 Likes |
