Hello house.
I am a 33yr old single lady ,was denied F-1 visa in 2018 three times .Fast forward to 2022, my brother brother in the US since 2019 invited my parents and I over though not my mother’s first as she has been there twice and popcy hasn’t though he has travel history but I don’t.

My brother and wife are both practicing medical practitioners with 4kids.I’m currently running my masters program in Unilag and a social media specialist in a Logistics firm.it happened that I filled in No relative in the US in 2018 as advised by the travel Agency .
My Question is how can I redeem myself and will my parents history help out with this, and what strong home tie can I possibly provide to proof my coming back? Thanks in anticipation.
The travel agency advised you to fill no relative?I'm sure you are a learned person. I don't get it why you use those guys? Why?Having a relative doesn't mean you will be denied. The qualification for getting a visa is on you.The most important thing they will consider is that are you qualified, and do you actually have a genuine reason to visit the US at the time you are applying .Now you have done what they call misrepresentation.

Just compose yourself. I got mine last week Monday. Go early irrespective of your time. My appointment was for 9am but I got there around 6.30. Entered with the rest and as at 8am my white paper was with me. This was my first trial. My travel outside Nigeria is to Dubai and the last time I traveled was in 2015.
May God favour you

Good morning everyone.
I have a travel agent processing a B1/B2 visa application - I'm actually going for a conference. He asked me to pay for appointment fee.
I just want to know if it is legit or not.

Good morning.
I need advice from someone in the house.

I have an interview at the US embassy on Thursday and my passport is still with UKVI. I have called and emailed severally but it’s still the same response. At this rate, I wouldn’t be able to get the passport before Thursday.
Has anyone been in this situation before?
Is it possible to show up at the US embassy without the passport and be given another date.

I cannot afford to reschedule as the dates available are now 2024!

Please help. Thank you

you can visit the TLS/VAC where you did the Biometrics on how to temporarily withdraw your passport for urgent use, and will return it back as soon as you are done with the urgent need of it. Kindly do that fast. Don't leave until they sort it out for you there. Be patient with them there with respect as you address the situation.

You don't need an agent to process your application. Meanwhile how much is he asking you to pay? I'm sure if you read posts on this page, you will see how an agent messed up someone's application. Do it yourself. Come here and ask questions if you are not sure of steps to take.

Having a legal pathway forward should make you a good candidate, however the reality in Nigeria is usually the other way.

OK. So you want to apply for visiting? Yes you can apply if you are sure the reason you were denied the F1 has significantly changed. You don't need an invitation letter. They rarely ask for it. They just need to know if you can sponsor your trip and also your home ties.

Please is it possible for a brother who has stayed in USA for over 20years to invite his sister or brother or mother or a single member of his family in Nigeria to come over to USA?

Becos I know someone who has stayed in USA for over 20years and another person has stayed in USA for over 30 years yet these two people don't remember to even invite their only brother and sister to come to USA at least for visiting.

Or is it that it's not possible to invite a family member over to USA?

Please I need a good person to help me explain this things so that I can really understand what's wrong.

I really want to know the steps taken to invite a person in Nigeria over to USA if it's really possible.

Thank you

An invitation isn’t necessary at all. Do the brother and sister have funds to process their visas and cover their expenses while in the US?

duration of stay of invitee isnt of much weight...the major determining factor is the invited persons demomnstration of strong ties to their home country....american doesnt want anybody coming to their country, who wudnt want to go back at the end of their visit grin grin
so if you have strong ties, i even prefer going the tourist route, booking hotel etc....

Who is sponsoring the trip?
You said she and her family are all travelling to the USA together. My question is , is her Husband working in the UK?
She stands a better chance if she is a permanent resident of the UK.
Lastly answer the questions above then I can try to answer your questions.

No they are sponsoring the trip. Though o sent them an invitation letter and my bank statement, proof of employment because I'm a Registered Nurse here in California. No she is on a Student visa (studying nursing), her husband is on dependent visa and working. They are planning on coming in December 2022 when she is on break. She graduates next year September. Her interview is in UK this week Wednesday. Any advice will be appreciated.

Hey US citizen,

Just asking for a friend- was the petition pre planned prior to her travelling on that B1B2?

No it wasn't pre planned. She visited and I decided to petition for her. She interviewed here in the US and was approved.

The single most important thing will be their status in the UK. If they have leave to remain more than 2 years I would think they would be fine.

She is a nursing student I'm the UK and she graduates September 2023. She is planning on visiting in December this year and her interview is in 2 days

You didn't answer her question,if u are lucky to be experienced in this field and applied bu urself, u dont need to start blaming anyone for using agents as their services hv been existing even before we are born .
If u hv a suggestion, kindly let her know as she already knows her issue and now needs to correct and make amends . Everyone cant be all perfect and smart like u

Yes...they have funds to process the visa.
And also the resources that can cover them for a month visit.
