Dude you are going to one of the most nicest countries to be in Europe and cold feet dey catch you? Gone are the days of racism (maybe still a little, but nothing life threatening like living here), Germany is now a multi cultural society and a country that works, better than the USA & England. The only challenge will be the language barrier, but english is still spoken in the cities. Bro, you only have a sweet challenge ahead of you, nothing you wouldnt over come in a short while.

If you still get cold feet, put those feet in boiling water! grin

Congratulations!!!
Please share the process involved in applying and securing the job?

It's normal to have such feeling when one is about to leave a comfort zone for an uncharted terrain.
Do not hesitate to move.
You can ask your employer about the health insurance.
Well said

Move!

He is not going to be spending naira in Germany. Cost of living etc is higher than Nigeria. The only thing cheaper than in Nigeria is probably food. That’s why obesity is problem in the west. €2000 is what a cleaner or carer will earn in U.K., but it’s good to start from somewhere. And the tax is far higher than in Nigeria. So that money is the not the take home pay.

Tax depends on your Tax class in Germany .when you are single ,normally class 1 .you pay more tax.when married, you can decide to be in class 3 and your spouse in class 5 or you Share IT equal by class 4 both .so your Tax class detwrmines what is left after they pay you.i think the company is expected to pay Tax If you have been working remotely even in Nigeria .so its possible ,you might have been paying Tax for the German government since 6 month .its also possible ,you have ended the 6 month probation and they are convinced about your ability to deliver .that is why they have taken the step to Bring you down .i congratulate the OP and Wish him the best in His career.tax can be Up to 30 or 40% in Germany .some Part of its can be collected Back Düring Tax declaration

Hello,
Are you sure you can survive with Euro 2000? Please check cost of living before moving. Things are very expensive there as compared to Naija. If the job is remote why can't you stay here and support? However, if you want to leverage on that so as to get a better offer no problem. Just be aware that there's language barrier. You need to learn their language.
Warm Regards

However, germans are not friendly and very cold but they love our music. Try and make friends with irish people. They are very nice. Also, learn the language. Prepare for the rude sales girl as well.

Who told you Germans are not friendly ..........

Travel Health Insurance is only about £10 for a month, you can purchase it online, the UK Post Office also sells it online and it Covers Germany and Europe
