This is the way I’ve been warning up and down..you are not a spouse of a citizen and therefore cannot be applying for spouse visa. Tier 2, Tier 4 are all temporary visas and so we should research before wasting money.
Do not go and cancel wrongly as well. Snap your application form .. the visa type will show so we can advise properly

Guy what next should I do
Can I swap it
I have done biometric and from the foregoing it's too late for a refund

So u are saying an excess of 1.9M, apart from.of her actual POF, was in her account at the time of visa approval.... if yes...there is no harm in combining accounts...

Lets hope a wicked ECO will not assume its funds recycling ...i suggest u back it up with a cover note..... because we have seen cases where some ECO ddnt even bother to check an applicant combined two accounts and denied the apllication for insufficient funds based on one statement

Thanks for the advice. I have made up my mind not to risk it. I will wait and develop my pof organically in isolation of her funds and apply when mature. Thanks

I wanna apply for 2years visa on 1st feb using a 6months acct statement (from 1st Aug 2022 to 31st Jan 2023). I have 2 big withdrawals, one is 50k lesser and the other 50k greater than my salary in August and September 2022 respectively. They will make my monthly expenses higher in those 2 months.

I'm just wondering if i should apply using 4months acct statement (Oct 2022 to Jan 2023)with 6months payslips.

From my personal experience, huge withdrawals are not the major issue. It's huge deposits they really care about. You can explain what you used the money for in the additional information section.

Hi Everyone,

Is it advisable for me to pay my self salary from my business account?

Has anyone done the same and had a successful visitor visa application?

Thanks in anticipation for your response.

Yes stipulated amount as a salary every month, however. You will submit your business account along with your salary acct which you are using to receive monthly salary, make sure you use SALARY as a remark.

The suspect new wedding too that is done another too far from the time of the application and ask for proof of continous relationship... the good thing is they recognize civil partnership...certificate or no certificate as long as there is proof

So in all, what is needed is proper correspondence right from the date the relationship kicked off.

I had this issue too during my child visa application. Child was born and NPC was issued 4 years later.. A NSF was sent for clarification on the gap in the issue date. I was told to clarify this by providing either of these:

Give reason why there was a difference in birth date and NPC issue date.( I explained that i had the birth certificate from the hospital and it sufficed for most of the national requirement for the child. It was at the point of international passport application that NPC was required, thus was gotten at that date. I attached the birth certificate issued by the hospital at birth and immunisation schedule)

Provide medical records of parent validating the birth ceritificate. ( I used a private hospital then, so i was able to get my lab test results on hospital letterhead, dates of appointement with their consultants and scans in their hospital and the date of birth of child. Also, a letter from the hospital validating this)

Old photos of family relationship ( I attached enough. this time ehn, i appreciated myself that i was doing birthdays for her with number on the cake each year.

Provide school records to confirm the age of child( I couldn't get this as it doesn't seem like a good proof).

They asked for either of them but i gave them like 3. She got a positive decision 3 days later.

Pls check the records very well and make sure they are on point so you don't shoot yourself in the leg.

Hope this helps.

Good morning to everyone, pls I need More clarifications on my sister and her family skilled worker Visa application,

She already got Her COS and intends to travel with her hubby and the kid's same day becos maintainance was ticked by her sponsor, she's about applying for their Visa's,

The major question is regarding her children's birth certificate, she has all of her children's birth certificate from The hospital with accurate date of birth and the accurate date when the certificate was issued that same month becos she always collect her children's birth certificate latest two week's after delivery,

When she wanted to do her children's passport around November 2022, The Nigerian immigration services Said that NIN is now compulsory and the children's birth certificate is needed from NPC and not from the hospital they were delivered, they have to go and get The kid's birth certificate from NPC but the Major challenge is this, the NPC office wrote their dates and year of birth correctly but wrote date of issuance same Day they went there instead of the date of issuance in their original birth certificate from the hospital they were Born,

Right now,we heared that UK embassy only accepts birth certificate from NPC, that's national population commission, my question now is this,

1. I Hope the date of issuance Which bore year 2022 from NPC will not complicate things for Her and her family becos they have approached NPC office and they Said they can't back-date the date of issuance to the Year The kid's were Born, some of the kid's were Born in 2010, 2012, etc,

2. Pls can she attach her children's birth certificate from The hospital they were born with the One from NPC since the date of issuance from NPC is only showing year 2022 for all her kids but remember, everything about their date and Year of birth is correct both from the hospital and NPC, the only issue is date of issuance,

Finally pls those that has travelled with their kid's can Also shade More light on This,

I'm greatful for This platform, waiting patiently for responses.

Hi Good evening all..

I started my visa application (standard visitor visa 6 months) few weeks ago, I have paid the 100 gbp fee but haven't booked for biometrics, because I needed to confirm all the necessary documents are ready. I have several questions to ask and seeing rejections on this thread is getting me scared, so I want to be careful before moving on to the next stage.

Some background info before I continue pls, my company (based in UK) is sponsoring my travel and I have a brother who moved to UK September for masters, I reside in Nigeria working remotely.

1. For the question, 'Why are they helping to pay for your visit?', my response was 'It is a company sponsored vacation'.
2. I mentioned I have a brother and cousin in the UK and that I will be staying with them (at different times). I hope this doesn't make the ECO think I won't want to return back. And I keep seeing 'provide strong ties' on this thread, do I need to provide this in my case as I am not the one sponsoring my travel?
3. For the questions, What is the main reason for your visit to the UK?, my response was- Tourism (including visiting family and friends)
, What is the main reason for your holiday visit to the UK?, my response- Visiting family,
Give details of the main purpose of your visit and anything else you plan to do on your trip. my response- I plan to visit my relatives and friends as well as my work colleagues. I would also go sightseeing.
4. I stated that I have 2600gbp in my savings, and I plan on spending 800gbp on my visit (I earn 509gbp monthly; this is if worse comes to worst because like I mentioned earlier my company will be sponsoring the visit with a tentative amount of 1200gbp which I also stated in my application).

Is the above going to raise any issues? Please let me know before I pay for biometric etc.
The next part of my question is about the documents required. Please can anyone shed more light on what exactly is needed and how best to present the info
i. Evidence of support you will receive from your sponsor including details of what support is being provided and how?
ii. Evidence of the relationship, if any, between you and your sponsor- I guess this is my employment letter
iii. Evidence that your sponsor is not, or will not be, in breach of UK immigration laws at the time of your visit?
iv. Evidence of funds available to you, and which are clearly accessible by you- This should be my statement of account

Thanks in anticipation. Please note I have no experience applying for a visa, I never travel out of 9ja before so take it easy with me if my questions are too much.

You can report the mistake to UKVI online. Use the link below

I just got my Uk student visa and my names are over 33 characters on my passport but on the visa issued to me this is only containing just 32 Characters the last letter of my name didn’t appear ….

Please does this affect the visa validity and what is the standard no of character ukvi visa can accept for people having long names like mine …

Looking forward to your response .

Thanks

your answers make it look like you have done no research at all. Why is your company sponsoring you? Is this routine? Did you help build up the company’s profit and as such are getting rewarded for it? How many other staff have been sponsored like this with proofs?
If it were me I wouldn’t mention my brother and cousin as it’s making your application all over the place.. caus in one breath you say your company is sponsoring the trip, in the next breath you are going to see your brother and cousin
Please think of ur answers and also think like a visa officer especially as you have no travel history
What else is going for you?
Are u married? Any assets? Any elderly parents? What will bring you back to Nigeria?
Also just saying sightseeing is not enough… show that u have researched on what it is to be a tourist… you say you plan to visit your friends, relatives and work colleagues… hmm ..
then evidence of support from ur sponsor.. your company should give you enough documentation including a well written letter on why they are sponsoring your trip, what would be sponsored, how much you will receive, how you will receive it, confirm that you are a staff etc
If they routinely sponsor staff like this for holiday then they should also mention this
Evidence of ur sponsor not been in breach of uk immigration- for individual sponsors usually they provide their resident permits or British passports here
Evidence of funds available to you- basically bank statements from your sponsor or like I said well written letter. If your sponsor is like a global organisation with good records no one will demand to see their bank statement but will work based on their ‘name’
U will also need to submit ur bank statement
The koko is make a project about why your company is sponsoring a staff holiday
Then you also in the same vein said you will be spending 800 pounds of your money.. why please?

Thank you for your response. We are not visiting any settled family in the UK, I probably don't know the right term to use.

What I mean is, I, my wife and our two children want to apply for UK visa.

I intend to apply for 2 years visa for myself while I apply for 6 month visa for wife and the children.

Thanks so much.

Mrmoney90:

It all depends on how much you earn actually. If you earn a decent amount, your expenditure as well as your disposable income would be calculated. So it is your disposable income that will determine if you’re qualified to sponsor her trip. Anything from £3000 or £5000 and above disposable income should do just fine.

If it’s combined sponsorship between you and your wife, then you can show both your bank statements and indicating how much you both will be paying towards her trip individually. You can say your wife will be paying for her flights, whilst you pay towards her upkeep and Vice Versa. That shouldn’t be too hard for the both of you to show. Example you can say either you or your wife would be paying £1000 towards her flights and maybe £800 towards her upkeep. Just do your calculations and she is good to go.

Make sure you don’t put her stay to be in months. Example, don’t say 1,2 or 3 months. Definitely she will be given 6 months, so she can stay longer.

Goodluck

Thanks for your response. I am being rewarded with a vacation to the UK, the other staff that have been sponsored are Indians, I am the first Nigerian. I mentioned visiting my family because that's the major thing I will be doing there, so I innocently filled it. But from what I have read on this thread, I guess I shouldn't talk about family.
Are u married? Any assets? Any elderly parents? What will bring you back to Nigeria?
No I am not married, no assets and my parents are here in Nigeria, but I have a business I just registered last year.

For the question 'How much money are you personally planning to spend on your visit to the UK?', which I previously answered 800gbp, I can just leave it blank right?

Lastly, can I cancel the application and re-submit again with better answers (ps I have not booked or paid on the tls platform).
