PETER OBI WILL NEVER BE THE PRESIDENT OF NIGERIA.

HE CAN GO AHEAD TO BE THE PRESIDENT OF Igbos AND BIAFRA

YEEBOS ARE NOT READY FOR PRESIDENCY

THEY ARE VERY DISUNITED AND CAN'T EVEN AGREE WITH EACHOTHER

THEY CRY MARGINALIZATION ALL THE TIMES BUT THE TREATMENT THEY DISH TO THEIR FELLOW TRIBAL PEOPLE IS WORSE

THEY GO ABOUT CREATING ENEMIES FOR THEMSELVES EVERYWHERE YOU SEE THEM

NOW, THEY WANT TO REAP FROM WHERE THEY DIDN'T SOW.

NONSENSE.

TINUBỤ MAY BE A BASTARD BUT, THE DEVIL YOU KNOW...

What about people voting to disgrace the current government for their failure. Tinubu cannot be president of this country, get that fact into your tick skull. I am even perceiving Tinubu as a northerners' game to repay South West with a yaradua/jonathan ticket in 2007 in which the president die so that the vice can take over. If not, why didn't they choose Osinbajo as their flag bearer, a whole vice president cannot win his party primary.

Let me tell you this and go and mark it down, the 2023 presidential poll will be a repudiation of Buhari failure as a president to prevail on the current national issues.

Any Nigerian who believes Obi will be president in 2023 will definitely invest in MMM if MMM were to resurface. That's how gullible that fellow is.
To be Nigeria's president is not by simple majority. Can you win 2/3 of the states? Can you score at least 25% in those states not won? Obi it is not even for sure he will win all South East States. I am sensing Tinubu is sponsoring Obi to curtail Atiku votes.

Thanks for this OP. In my opinion, currently...social media sensitization is key. We're not corrupt politicians who can throw dollars around and those collecting it would think such politicians would not recoup it in multiple folds should they win election. OP, I'd tell you why I feel the social media sensitization is much needed right now.

The majority of those in the voting age are youths...educated youths. They spend most of their time on the social media even in offices, workplaces and on their mobile phones.

Social media sensitization saves alot of costs. Labour Party is the party of the masses and masses who have a major voice to lend but with very limited resources. The resources need to be used judiciously. When Barack Obama was contesting,I was rounding off my programme in Buffalo, upstate NY. I couid see the role the social media played in electing the first black man in America as president. E shock dem grin
I remember David Plouffe , the Obama campaign manager. He utilised the power of social media and that's key in this election as well. By the time house to house sensitization would start, Nigerians will see the difference. It will be purely issues-based. We have suffered too long in the hands of these wolves and hyenas in govt and enough of such sufferings. Their national grid is still not up yet, ASUU is still on strike and hundreds of thousands of students are home right now. Banditry keeps increasing . Today, scores were killed in benue. They've failed woefully.

I was tackling someone here a few minutes ago who responded to my post for supporting Obi. I had met with this man personally in the past. We had boarded same flight together. This man never had an orderly, no escorts, no private jets and he was seated at the economy side. I'm talking of 5 years ago and he still does so till now. I trust him...and the only igbo leader I can trust as a yoruba man, sadly undecided

I pitied Umahi when he was seen lamenting on channels TV last night over South Eastern delegates who betrayed the region after collecting 25kusd each and voted a candidate from another region. Obi isn't even liked by his contemporaries in that region cos they know he's not reckless. He cannot give them money unless they work for it and that's the type of people we need, a technocrat per excellence. Sadly, buhari is like him too but he's not a technocrat. He has no idea of democratic governance. They just deceived us by putting him there and used the opportunity of his ignorance to pilfer our common resources. The same man who deceived us is now vying for his position. Who doesn't know he will be worse? If you put buiari by his side, someone who's even older and of a frail health, buhari looks much stronger than tinubu. I won't waste my vote again. I'd satisfy my conscience and work hard for Obi. I'd donate when the time comes and sponsor some of his programmes. We never knew lagos was so rich until ambode came. Lagos declared budget surplus for the first time in decades despite executing those massive projects. Though he was kicked off for doing a good job and serving lagosians, his name won't be forgotten in Lagos.

Someone ignorantly said to me, how do you think labor party without a stricture or an ordinary LG Chair or governor would win presidential election? I just laughed hysterically. He should go and ask Olusegun Mimiko who won governorship under labor party, defeating the ruling pdp and the then opposition in the state from behind . Prior to that time, no single labour party as LG chairman in ondo state. Once the majority is on your side , you don't have problems on winning an election.

A Labour party is potentially the best type of party for Nigeria. It is evocative of being naturally the Peoples party instead of a platform for ethnic posturing and positioning because the masses in a democracy are exploited workers. In order words, whether you're Muslim, Christian, Isoko, Ijaw or Kanuri; male or female, in a democracy you have your labour in common. A Labor party, in the context of Nigeria, can coutch itself in the cloak of the Revolutionary new thing in the political system, the evolution of our young democracy.

Peter Obi did the smart thing, decamping to this party. As a big name, he has the opportunity to mold the party. It can be the best thing that happens to Nigeria.

But I'm writing from the position of ignorance when it comes to the history of Nigeria's political parties.

That can also the reason why Peter Obi is elected next year in the presidential poll because it means there will be good checks and balances in his government unlike the dictatorship of Buhari today with rubber-stamping senate.

I certainly agree with the part in bold. Buhari has been allowed to get away with so much, because of the absence of checks and balances in our excessively powerful Presidential system, to the extent that one man's whims, dogmatism and caprices has caused Nigeria extreme division, pain and lives.

I still grimace, as a former Buhari fan, when I read his dismissal of restructuring below. How can one man be so callously and insensitively dismissive of what many brilliant experts and analysts, the world over, agree is unavoidably the only way out for Nigeria?

This is why I can never consider 'more of the same' Atiku or Kwankwaso because neither will ever talk of decentralised democracy (Tinubu) or State policing and restructuring.

Atiku and Kwankwaso will tout more gradualism and centrist conservatism yet reject all ideas that give more power to the other tiers of government than what we have today where the centre, controlled by the President, is so inordinately powerful and uncheckable that Nigeria could literally be obliterated if a Hitler or Putin type became our President.

Obi, arguably, may have good intentions but he just does not have the structure or support , in labour Party or his Igbo ethnic group, to win and then go on to be effective or to stand up against the very powerful enemies of Nigeria's progress when they fight back against any good thing he wishes to do.

When push comes to shove, there is nothing in Obi's history to show he has the bravery, self-belief and sagacity to fight the unimaginably scary enemies of Nigeria who can burn whole communities of many thousands of Nigerians to the ground for their own singular and personal agendas.

For context, OBJ impeached Obi easily even when the later was on his knees begging yet same OBJ never bettered the unbowed Tinubu who, over many years, showed he had the range of skills and ability to battle a sitting President and win against him all for the sake of delivering for his Lagos and SW constituencies.

Things are not as simple as most Nigerians View it and we cannot afford a lame duck President, like GEJ, only there for window dressing but unable to bully through the policies and directive needed to transform Nigeria for the better for all her citizens from North to South and East to West.

It is still incredible to me how one man, i.e Buhari, can be so out of tune with the needs of more than 230 million people and he is then indulged by all our institutions and checks-and-balances apparatus to get his way.

For all Tinubu's fault you will never get a Malami from him as AGF when the likes of Falana, Akeredolu and Agbakoba are alive and practising.

You will never get an FFK as governor of Lagos instead of Fashola and you will certainly never get a Pantami as ICT Minister ahead of the many brilliant IT and tech Gurus , with amazing international standards exposure, Nigeria parades.

All in all, Nigerians must choose with their heads and not with their hearts.

Those calling for restructuring naïve, dangerous, says Buhari
June 20, 2021

By Ibrahim Wuyo

President Muhammadu Buhari virtually foreclosed the restructuring of Nigeria, Saturday, when he said there was nothing to restructure.

“And again those who are discussing restructuring, my question is, what are you going to restructure? If you ask many Nigerians what they are going to restructure, you will find out that they have nothing to talk about.

Yes, I agree with most of what you said up there but the caveat is that Tinubu of those days has long passed his prime. Let us just stop judging the present based on the past, i know that there are elements of alignment between the present and the past, but things are changing incredibly fast in today's world. Peter Obi of today is more groomed and a self assured politician than the Peter Obi bullied by Obasanjo in those days. Tinubu is a man on the tail end of his life but just wants to greedily become president as the only thing he has not achieved in politics. How about we think of it this way that the northerners are rooting for Tinubu just for them to take the power back once the man is incapacitated to continue in the office. Remember the yar'adua and Jonathan, the northerners have not forgotten this game played with them by Obasanjo which effectively shortened the term of a northern president and culminated in a southerner (jonathan) taking over from yar'adua after his death, they might be looking to play the same game with the south using Tinubu.

Tinubu is not fit for the job, only greed is driving his ambition. I might have supported a younger Tinubu but never this one. And Peter Obi is not a pushover politician as you might want to think of him, having the courage to leave PDP for LP while pursuing presidency shows that the man has a ball. Some people said he should have fought dirty in PDP, but they forget that Osinbajo as a vice president could not emerge as a flag bearer in APC despite being loyal to Buhari.
