RIP to the dead. Life......we are all just passing by after all! |
"....prompting fears of a new infectious disease outbreak in a region ravaged by Ebola." What does this really mean? That the region was ravaged by Ebola in the past? That would be untrue and misinformative. |
The first thing you learn as a Christian is compassion. Living not only for yourself but for others. You also learn about love; true love upon which the highest levels of compassion can be built. Make it your responsibility to preserve and care for life. Plan what is left and resolve to be better. |

Please stop this trash throwing. You lift something off someone's Facebook page and immediately make him an Igbo spokesman. He is no more a representative for the Igbos as one Yemi is for the Yorubas. Please reclassify this as an individual opinion, learn the lessons if there be any, that you need for your Yoruba history degree and move on. Enough of these trash slinging please. |
This is what Nigeria has become under Jonathan........too much rot in the system in need of cleaning. |
Freaking unbelievable!! How did they connect the spinal cord and nerves? Crazy!!! |
And his name is........Dauda! |

Osakah24:Why ask odua mercenary to clarify a bias ? |
Not with people like Tinubu and the Oba being so influential. |
I am Ibo, yes I dislike tribalism and I strongly believe that any nation which truly wants to forge ahead must limit the impact of tribal sentiments in the selection of its leaders. I have lived in Lagos for 12 years and have more Yoruba friends than I do Ibo friends. The best experiences I have had in Lagos have been with good people regardless of tribe but I have in my own observation seen that many of my Yoruba friends come from well educated homes. In some cases, they have grand parents who schooled in prestigious institutions; a not so common achievement in Nigeria. I have been welcome into their homes which in some cases have a Muslim father and a Christian mother. The diversity I have experienced in Lagos makes me desire to reside in no other part of Nigeria apart from Lagos. I must confess that I had in line with my admiration expected too much of the Oba. Quite frankly I never believed the Oba of one of the most important cities in Africa could sound so medieval. Asking him to apologize would be an insult to common sense. Over the course of the recent election related developments, I had argued and disagreed with relatives about voting for Jonathan. Although I am from Delta state which partly like Bayelsa state was carved out of the former Bendel state, I put sentiments aside and reasoned like most progressive Nigerians, related with the average man on the street and saw nothing but reckless graft in the current PDP. I put aside the relationships and ignored relatives who benefit from NDDC to the detriment of the average Nigerian and campaigned for APC. I did all these with a careful eye on the role of Tinubu in Lagos, his possible influence on APC and nursed a certain uneasiness about his relationship to Ambode. When I listened to the campaign adverts of JK and compared it to that of Ambode; perused their CVs and evaluated what I felt either could offer, I personally made up my mind to support Ambode. I also did this in consideration of the alienation strategy the federal level metes out on an opposition state level government and adjudged that Lagos is due for a alliance with the federal level of governance from day one. I had worked in GTB and knew Agbaje but threw sentiments away to evaluate Ambode as a more profitable offer. Now I have a new dilema. With the overwhelming influence of Tinubu on Lagos, evident from the Alpha beta saga, Lekki-toll saga, Oriental hotel saga, ibeju Lekki saga, Royal Gardens estate saga, issuance of CofOs long after publicly abdicating power, I had felt that was all there would be to Ambode but from the way the Oba spoke, I now believe Ambode could represent an entrenched institutional rot and that regardless what reconciliatory steps are taking to assuage the concerns of Lagosians over such wanton bias, there might be need to save our beloved Lagos from death in the Lagoon. It's just a vote but I have just made up my mind. Afterall, Agbaje or Ambode there can be no tribalism for an Ibo vote! |

OneNaira6:t is shocking enough to read your personal opinions presented like hard facts but it is mind bugling to see you had that much likes. Logical reasoning needs to take its place in our schooling curriculum. We need to grow a nation where sentiments as innately human as they are, can be curbed to allow nation-building unsentimental views to key issues. |
So what should we do about that? It is high time our so called spiritual leaders gave up a little of their gathered wealth to improve lives around them. Our churches; and so many as we have them can help in the much needed transformation we crave by leading from the front. We have church leaders who rank amongst the richest in their league but what an irony when we contextualize it in the impoverished Nigerian setting. |
Foolish talks. Sometimes, people need opportunities to express true nature. You got yours Orubebe; you did not disappoint. |
It was long overdue for them to shut the F up |

dorocent:This one has not exhausted his contracted postings. You can walk away with the leftover dollars as no one will be there to audit you. |
Sensitizing the populace on citizenship attitude, forthrightness, loyalty, discipline, collectivistic approach to neighborhood issues, prudence, how to forge accountability in our leaders by demanding dependable representation and how to cut our coats according to our cloth. |
Time to go back to Otueke. |
Congrats on your startup and all the best this season. Please try to give more information about location, what you do, years of experience in farming etc. Regards |
Glowstone:What they need to do specially postured, you do free-standing.. You have a gift! |
chidekings:Foolish thief? It thought it goes without saying that thieves are foolish? Like I explained, with the correct approach, you will still get caught. Banks have surveillance cameras for a reason and so do most ATMs. Cases are only ignored when the bank doesn't feel the need. For a university student in a university town, they will see the need to avoid complicity suggestions. Solving most crimes just takes the right people looking logically at the right things. |
chidekings:Forget this rubbish talk. The ATMs with camera will still fish you out. Besides, you would have to be extraordinarily mean to yourself to hide the influence of the 120K windfall. Don't support evil. It is for such thoughts and tendencies we pay the price of underdevelopment in Nigeria today. Great UNIBEN!, Congrats OP. |
