Chinese government owns and operate more than 38 refineries in China.
If your government can't run a business, then they can't run a government too.

Your corrupt politicians sold you a lie that government can't run a business. China that is doing it, do they have extra brains in their heads?

It is well with us.
Both government and labour have formidable justifications for their actions.
Las Las, na d poor masses go suffer am pass. If labour goes on strike, the suffering will increase. A typical case of two elephants fighting.

Balablu should better find a middle ground to stop this labour action instead of trying to break the rank and file of labour and poliiticizing this matter

How is Dangote going to be a monopoly?

The man also spoke about Dangote cement being a monopoly. Is this man so daft? What about Lafarge, BUA, and etc? Are they also owned by Dangote?

So na the man wey dey head NLC be this? It’s obvious he dosen’t even understand what he is saying.

Idiots and nincompoops don’t think.

Maybe Tinubu’s TVC is also a monopoly because it is the only television station in the country. Useless fools

The licenses are not granted free of charge. Not everyone has what it takes to get the license. If you're capable, you'll get the license when you apply for it.

What about rumors of politicians owning refineries outside the country?

It's all political.
U can't tell me there is no one aside dangite that has the capacity to build a refinery

Of course they are doing that. As we speak the process is ongoing and it was announced publicly.

Yes I heard about it last week or so.

Why haven't they granted other people licences for the past decades?

This Union guy is not thinking right how about if he go on strike and the government refuse to reverse to the old price, what is going to be his next line of action, because as it is now I don't see government reversing to old price. Going on strike is a wrong decision.

We dont have light, no good roads, no good health care yet the only thing that the citizens have benefitted is subsidized fuel and yet the removed it, saying to want to channel the money to road and other infrastructure.
Ordinary 1.6trillion spent on subsidy and buhari has borrowed 17trillion naira and yet no result on the masses.
The citizens have lost trust in their government and the only way to redeem it is by rehabilitating the refineries or build new ones, before removing subsidy.
We must not allow this to happen else there will be high inflation.

At least 28 licenses for private refineries were (or have been) granted going back to the OBJ administration…
This includes BUA, Orient, Waltersmith, etc. And is apart from the promised “4 Greenfield Refineries” by NNPC.

Dangote is not the only Nigerian with money…
But remains one of the few who invests in MANUFACTURING (in infrastructure-poor Nigeria), rather than trading.

All of the world’s biggest corporations/businesses take loans (or other debt capital)…
Nonetheless, loans are not given out for free, and with this refinery Dangote Group provided HALF of the funding.

Peculiar thing about Nigeria is the perchance to denigrate success (while often celebrating failures)…
If Dangote was a trader investing only in his own village or state (instead of across Nigeria/Africa), he’ll be venerated.
>

Am happy u mentioned that the licences were granted by nnpc the supposedly corrupt body.
It's like u fail to view dangote domination as monopoly and unfair business tactics.

If u believe dangote coughed out 9 billion USD of the 18 billion USD for the refinery then u can believe anything.

That's why I tell u that it's Monopoly.

There are many people of other tribes that can build refineries but for some reasons best known to whoever it doesn't happen

The day we have at least 10 refineries frm different people, that will be the day prices of things crash.

So government cannot handle simple issues that private owners can and we should celebrate them for that🤣

It makes no sense to say market forces will determine price when you have only one supplier in the market
there is also imported fuel.

If they ban importation of fuel, then that's when you should be worried about dangote.

apart from that, they didn't ban fuel importation like cement.

So if dangote price is not favorable, then we can shift to imported fuel.
