A lot of people have been coming to ask if it's for rent. Nigeria just tire me I may consider that too.

That may be a better option for you. Because it looks as if you just want to jump into any kind of business and that may hurt you in the end.

Business in any line requires lots of study and research, marketing too no be joke.

Check around for average price of ware house cost in your area and base your lease around that.

I dont need this much space to do pure water. I spent a lot on the building for me to settle for that kind of business.

Oga I am an engineer for both pure water and bottle machine,I do complete set up for both factories.
Is just that machines are quite expensive now,if you put 10 satchet water machines here, and employ marketers in two years you will keep thanking me everyday.
Water is something every human must take everyday.
Even Atiku abubakar has a water factory.
Ask of nutre damn factory in Benin, the man has more than one thousand vehicle,do you know what the profits is in a month?
When you don't understand a bussiness,ask questions.

Three bottle line machine can't even enter here

It's impossible to deck a building if it has already been built as a door floor, that can lead to collapse

If he hasnโ€™t roofed it, bricklayers can erect pillars that would sustain the decking.

You're very wrong.

I know quite a number of Nigerians who are into Rice milling and storage in Abuja. It's not a business that's opened exclusively for the super rich people. If you can get even used machines you can start, if you can get Nigerian assembled, you're good. Even brand new Chinese and Indian made Millers are available if he takes his time to search
Dont mind that guy, make e dey quote wetin him no know about.. $5 million dollar ko, $10 million dollar ni.

Imagine him saying that big space in that warehouse is too small for Rice mill business. Ha! .... ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ..see internet business men them. ๐Ÿ˜†

Early last year I was motivated to start a beer distribution business, I did my research bought the land and constructed the building.

Unfortunately for me, I didn't know someone is selling just few blocks to where I acquired the land. Although the competitor was a small scale but I do not want to compete because there is also a coke/pepsi depot right next to it.

I've decided to go into manufacturing but I'm not sure what I could do. I need ideas and possible the required capital that would start it.

Please no pure water factory suggestions.

Thank you.
If you are up, we can use it to start converting ICE cars to full electric.

Can you install a refrigeration unit in the warehouse to store ice, medicine, and food? Nigeria lacks good cold storage infrastruture, you can power the refrigeration units using solar and battery

Okay.
If its big restaurants, i believe it will be profitable.
But for dat sharwama guy, i doubt. Because small medium business isnt good now, because price of flour is high and people are buying their basic needs now. Only few customers will will buy sharwama from him.
FoodInvestment:

African Foods Restaurant where GOOD COOKS are employed to prepare DELICIOUS AFRICAN MEALS and DELICIOUS Sharwama/Pizza/Snacks/Assorted Meat is a BEST SELLER Business.

I know a young man (OUTSIDE Lagos/Ogun States) producing ONLY Very Delicious Sharwama. He makes an Average Gross Sales of N1.5m DAILY!

Food Business is a LUCRATIVE Business if you know the SECRETS of the business.

Nice write-up.
What will u say about catering? Is it profitable?
Many people have different definations of catering, making it sound confusing. Is catering the same with restaurant?
FoodInvestment:

The Sharwama guy is FOR REAL. My company is the CONSULTANT to him.

WELL PREPARED (DELICIOUS) Sharwama sells! Any WELL PREPARED (DELICIOUS) Food sells.

Many Popular Fast Foods Eatery sell NONSENSE Sharwama and NONSENSE Food generally.

FAKE Packaging of food business does not work.

If your food is DELICIOUS people will patronize you wherever you are.

I went to a very small restaurant in a hidden place in Owerri last year. I was surprised to see very many persons there buying a plate of food for N4,000 each!

I was shocked.

But when I tasted the food it was SO DELICIOUS and SO REFRESHING!

I kept going back there till I left Owerri. There are many restaurants like that all over Nigeria.

Excellent Cooking Skills are UNIQUE NATURAL SKILLS which requires little or no formal training.

This is why some people consider cooking as hardwork and some other people consider cooking fun!

This is why some people cook delicious meals effortlessly while some other people can never cook delicious meals, no matter how hard they try. Even when you give them all THE SAME ingredients!!!

One woman I know became the owner of one of the biggest restaurant chains in Nigeria by hiring the BEST COOKS she can get and paying them very well. She knew her limits when it came to cooking very delicious meals.

The food sold by many roadside food sellers are even MORE DELICIOUS than the expensive nonsense food sold in big hotels.

This is why many people that lodge in big hotels and can afford the food sold there still prefer to go to roadside food sellers to eat.

Many people claiming to be good cooks and trained caterers are cooking nonsense! Then they start praying against enemies that is making people not to patronize them!!!

I've been thinking about cassava processing plant, I'm not sure how lucrative it would be.

It's lucrative, but you need consistent and constant supply of cassava to be in the business.

I already advised you last year but you didn't take it, With this kind of building, your best bet is a church business. The only thing you needed are just chairs and a sharp mouth prophet.

I will recommend our resident prophets here, falseprophet and righteousness2. Trust me, in few years, you will be an owner of a private jet

Include ogbonti to the numbers of prophets. That bald headed man has a way of speaking audio money into reality, trust me. Tested and trusted.

If that's your area of specialisation, Remain in the lane of depot business you intended and avoid manufacturing. There are many companies in NIGERIA.
Stout, Wine, Malt and Minerals
SACHET ALCOHOL/BITTERS,
Noodles,
Canned & pep bottle Drinks,
Animal feeds,
CEMENT etc

Water factory business is actually something you shouldn't dare to look down upon. If the space is too big for just sachet water then you upscale to include producing bottled water, dispensers and YOGHURT!!!
This is the only manageable production business as country fuel and dollar be now.

You shouldn't be worried about having competitors since you have bigger space (and most likely funds too). If they're selling pepsi products, you go for coca cola. If they're selling Guinness products, you go for Nigeria breweries products and vice versa. Find another (maybe new or less popular) company to paint their brand colours and make you their major distributor OR find a major distributor of that company that refused you and still be lifting products from them.

I think the best way to start a catering business, is by opening a shop and training people together with selling baked stuffs inside a showglass. Is there any other way than dis?

Talking about connection. I have neva heard of it. Getting to cater for a customer, is it dat hard?

These are my last thoughts or question. Sorry for taking ur time.
FoodInvestment:

Catering is cooking/baking for occasions, events or marketers. You need Connections to be successful in catering.

Restaurant is a fixed place were people come to eat. If you cook GOOD food in a NEAT environment with COURTEOUS service, you will be successful in restaurant business.
