All of a sudden, other airlines are underpricing, and the plan is to take Air Peace out. If they succeed, Nigerians will pay 20 times over.

Air peace wey no dey Look face once he dominated the market. How much is he taking from Lagos to Owerre? Compare with Lagos to Sokoto which is twice Owerre distance.

The government needs to find a way to step in to help.

Either we also flood the market with multiple Nigeria airlines flying that route so they too can gang up, or government find a way to support Airpeace one way or the other.

I’m sure when these foreign airline success and Airpeace run out of capacity to deliver, they will increase the price back and we go back to square one.

Government can’t keep subsidizing everything. Air Peace is a private business and they must find a way to survive competition. Arik was flying straight to London Heathrow before they were out-priced by foreign airlines.

The only way Air Peace can survive the price war is to appeal to the sentiments of Nigerians. They must make all Nigerians see Air peace as a national brand that is serving the interest of all Nigerians and whose survival depends on the patronage of Nigerians against harsh foreign competitors.

Sadly, they mismanaged the fallout of their maiden flight by allowing Obidients ethnicize the narrative. The Igbo pushback and the massive insults against Yoruba people because some very few people on twitter suggested that the dressing of the hostess should reflect a united Nigeria identity as against an ethnic group was unnecessary. President Tinubu and Keyamo were not spared in the insult. Now, how will they change the narrative?

I wish Allen Oyeama well but he should talk less and strategise more.

You can’t be opposing National carrier and foreign airlines the same time, pick your battles wisely.

The only way they can do so meaningfully is by subsidising tickets.

That'll be politically impossible.

You can't deny Okada man fuel subsidy and turn round to subsidise millionaires travelling abroad.

President Bola Tinubu will not subsidize ticket for anyone flying to London or anywhere else. If Air Peace can’t appeal to the patriotic sentiments of Nigerians to stick with them irrespective of price, they will be pushed out of the route. There is no two ways about it.

I think the man is full of appreciation to the current government but he should bridle his tongue and stop talking about the past. Air peace I think is a corporate organisation that have should have a corporate structure so Allen should get media handlers that would interface with the media and public rather he always granting interviews here and there as if Air peace is a sole proprietorship.

We can only appeal to the govt too to mandate official trips to the Uk via Air peace by all govt officials even though we know it’s not compulsory to do so. May Air peace survive and not pack up like Arik. Amen

Obedient will always cause problem for people normally. those one no get sense.

Person Dey ply London route that has Yoruba people as the highest customer traffic and his Ibo village people whispered to him to make it an all ethnic affair which is a great PR misfortune.

However, me I don overlook that one shar. I am not saying government should subside him, that will amount to nonsense and wastage of scarce resources.

But I just think maybe there is something within that aviation ministry that can be done to support him. What it is, me self no know.

I understand u perfectly bro, but there is a way someone will cast your colleague that will end up rubbing off on u.

When the loudmouth mentioned "my country denied us", it's only we nigerians that will know that it was buhari's govt that was d culprit, but ppl who aren't nigerians will include tinubu's govt as part of the culprit.

Even his kinsmen are not helping matters.they are still running with the narratives that he's being 'victimized' bcus he's igbo.

You need to revisit those threads to see what I'm saying.

muhammaduyusufu:

He said the bitter truth though.
He has a low IQ.

People who were selling an Orange for N50 per one suddenly went to N15 per one when someone started selling N30 per one, if the competitor gets liquidated, expect a drastic price increase possibly to N80 or N100 to fill in for the losses incurred during the wild competition.

Victim hood in this case is good because it's his own country and he should be patronized.
