Its so funny. OPC didn't fight when their great son MKO was killled like a chicken and now, they are ready to defend Lagos?
To think of it, how come we dont have OPC in the north? Boko Haram can hit any part of Nigeria which means the have cells everywhere.

My God!!, right in our lifetime this country is becoming a Somalia state. These kind of weapons are in circulation and we are wondering why Ogun state banks refuse to open for business.

My tort is that the weapon displayed by these guys are the least in their arsenal. I wont be surprised if they have BOMBS TOO!!!!!

Shame on Zik!
Shame on Ekwueme!
Shame on Orji Uzo Kalu!!!
Shame! Shame!!, Shame!!! on all Igbo polictical leaders jobbers.

Can you imagin this?

Buhari and his people rallied round to make sure that those who participated in the killing of corpers and the carnage after the elections were released.

OPC was carrying weapons and in broad day light for that matter and nobody harrassed them.

Yet, MASSOBIANS who were "armed" with "flags" were killed in their numbers.

It is a shame.
Dont imagine anything, opc are not campaigning for secession like massob but the safety of yoruba lives in the north.

WAR IS EVIL and what they just did is an act of cowardice. If they are true yorubas with a brain they will understand that you do not bring the war to your own land, you take it to the enemies territory. if they have greivances, they should go and march up in the northern territory, not within the civilian populations that they claim to protect. If they even cared one bit they'd at best march up to Abuja and state their discontent for the situation or go to the borders and protect that rather than march around people, intimidating and bullying the very people they claim to protect  .

The hausa/fulanis are also killing southerners in their territory,so what's all these preaching about ? What happened to the Aregbesola people and the ex-militants that were going to Abuja to make their discontent known ? Stop talking like a twerp !

Police arrests MASSOB leader Uwazuruike, 250 others, in Enugu

On 24 August, police arrested the leader of the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, along with over 250 members of the organization, in Enugu, capital of Enugu State.

Arrest of MASSOB members

Uwazulike’s arrest followed the earlier arrest of about 200 MASSOB members by the police. The members were arrested as their buses drove into Enugu from different parts of Igboland for the 12th anniversary ceremony of an Igbo youth organization, the Igbo Youth Movement (IYM). The highpoint of the ceremony was to be the conferment of an honour on the ailing ex-Biafran leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu, currently in a London hospital after suffering a stroke in December 2010.

OPC waka around freely with their weapons like warriors, but na inside bus massob dey and den still get bundled up an locked up like rats,

Even your coward rebel leader una no fit honor without getting locked up like chicken.

I don't know why it's so hard for these people to recognize their level,

Jonahdull, the worst Nigerian president I have seen so far. The prediction of the CIA might be correct about Nigeria disintegating. I just hope they disintegrate peacefully if it get's to that level.

This action is either not well thought out or there is a grand plot behind the scenes. I guess it can't be helped.
It's just an Abuja supported circus display, since Fasehun has been kissing up to Pdp and Jonathan we should expect them to use him to draw the supposedly unperturbed Yorubas into their scheming even, erratic Gani adams has distanced himself from that match.

Joyously celebrating a parade held by unlicensed civilian gunmen, who discharge weapons recklessly as they swagger down crowded city streets, does not in any way reduce the deadly threat those very same gunmen could ultimately pose to the nervously applauding civilian populace that welcomes them as "protectors".

If civilian militias are prevented from showing off their firepower on the streets of cities in states of the Nigerian federation whose governors prefer civil order over disorder, then such an adherence to basic civil laws should be applauded rather than scorned.  Civilian vigilante groups are a fixture of Nigerian life, and they do in many instances back up the police when the chips are down, BUT, the more frequently such groups get to shoot indiscriminately within city limits, the closer Nigeria edges to a Somalia-style state of unmitigated anarchy.

OPC at the OK Corral,  keep your powder dry, and your hardware HIDDEN from the public.   There will be time enough for gunplay if and  when the REAL threats emerge.

all it takes is a bomb to go off at a strategic location and then d ripple effect kicks in - reprisal in d south, counter reprisal up north.

"An idea is like a virus, resiliant, highly contajous and the smallest seed of an idea can grow. It can grow to define or destroy you" - d idea has been sown, will Nigeria eventually break up come 2015 --NAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are made up of softer stuff and we'll just count our losses and move on - afterall e go beta

I observed this disparity between Fasheun and Gani factions too. The Fasheun faction has not necessarily been kissing up to PDP really but to Jonathan. If it was a northerner in power, not so sure Fasheun faction will be working with the PDP. What am saying is that, its not a party thing, rather an ethnic thing.

Whatever the case may be, the end result will not be good I am sure. Nobody is going to recognise factions in OPC when trouble eventually starts. Whatever factions starts trouble will be seen as the face of Yorubas. A lot of northerners don't support Boko Haram at the moment, some are trying to make up their minds. But when actions like this continue, it will help those undecided people to make up their minds too. Even the fence-sitters on the Yoruba side will eventually have to join at least for defense purpose.

If the police didn't do anything, the action probably has the FG's hand in it. Ain't no need bragging like some posters here about how Yorubas can not be arrested. We all know the police command is not in the state govt's or Yorubas hands. If the FG wants to arrest OPC, they would and heaven is not going to fall because of that.

Somebody is seriously trying to mess Nigeria up, big time. We may not be able to stop it because masses fall for these things, always.

This is very bad way to execute sectional agenda. I mean, Boko Haram is not known to specifically target Yorubas and Yorubas interests as we speak. Why drag the peace-loving Yoruba people into this? The OPC should allow Jonathan to do his JOB. simple.

All brawn, no brains. While Boko Haram operates with stealth and methodical precision, this bunch of retarded, rag-tag assemblage of hooligans are prowling the streets in an utterly repugnant attempt to display their lack of sense and sensibility. One would think that in order to counteract Boko Haram, you would need to match them stealth for stealth, strategy for strategy, precision for precision, and above all, intelligence for intelligence. But then, what else do we expect from obtuse cowards that are accustomed to idiocies such as shameless able-bodied 'beggarship', as well as the 'alaye' and 'omo onile' syndromes.
