How many soldiers are there on Nairaland, how many people have actually killed another man or seen another man die?

War is messy, evil and without laws.

Japan bombed Pearl Harbour (a military base) and the US nuked two cities.

Hannibal of Carthage marched on Rome but the Romans wiped Carthage off the map.

If a new civil war breaks out 99.9999% of Nairalanders will be refugees squealing and bleating.

It is better we put pressure on the National Assembly and GEJ than all this quasi-Militia gymnastics!

Lagos is Yoruba land, and Yorubas will defend Yorubaland, If politics fails then all other options are open!

Wily¬Wily:

Nothing like sectional agenda from OPC,
Hausa/Fulanis right from time Hate Yorubas, it is good Yorubas hate them too now, and all indication shows that Opc are ready to start killing them.

Mods,

Shouldn't there be a way we can block certain usernames from quoting us.

Akanbi_edu:

This is very bad way to execute sectional agenda. I mean, Boko Haram is not known to specifically target Yorubas and Yorubas interests as we speak. Why drag the peace-loving Yoruba people into this? The OPC should allow Jonathan to do his JOB. simple.

Jonathan has proven to us that he's not capable of stopping these attacks.Yorubas cannot wait till their people in the north are killed like they did to the ibos,we must act fasta and i'm happy OPC is standing by.
Re: OPC Marches Through Lagos, armed with Guns and machetes by jmaine: 11:57am On Dec 09, 2011
I agree with your post except the bolded below . . .

Akanbi_edu:

If the police didn't do anything, the action probably has the FG's hand in it. Ain't no need bragging like some posters here about how Yorubas can not be arrested. We all know the police command is not in the state govt's or Yorubas hands. If the FG wants to arrest OPC, they would and heaven is not going to fall because of that.

Yes blame it all on the FG . . . . . So :

The FG is behind the frequent territorial blood letting in Fadeyi Vs Mushin fracas by hoodlums in Lagos whose crimes go unpurnished cos they are mostly politicians election enforcers ? . . .

If the FG calls the shotz in this, then how does the police force swing into action to curb civil unrest at the request or yearnings of the State governor ? . . .

Or does the FG send directives from above before this acts are being  curbed in the states ?. .even in street gang wars cases ?   . . .

So is Fashola exempted from his responsibility of razzling the security to  cull this ignorant able bodied men who feel brandishing weapons is the correct way to go . .

During the shameless display of those guyz . .security were on ground . .but they more or less took a stand off at a safe distance . . . Maybe Just in-case foolishness evolves to madness . . .

With the lack of proper training of our security officials as regards handling civil unrest such as this . . .it would be horrible to have imagined if they took the option of engaging or trying to stop this boys in the ever busy metropolis . . .What if an accidental discharge pops up from any of the party due to their erratic nature ?  . . .we all know how many dead bodies would turn up especially innocent bystanders . .

Fashola has a blame on this event  . . .  same with GEJ . . . cos the Boko haram sustained insurgence targeting other ethnic groups is becoming the rapid catalyst, that is leading to the reawakening/upsurge/springing of regional militia for defense purposes . . .

Hausa/Fulanis hated Yorubas but pretended to love them, but now that Yorubas are ready to start killing them, what will Hausa/Fulani do.
Why i like Boko Haram is that they don't make noise like OPC, and are ready to teach OPC a big lesson.
Re: OPC Marches Through Lagos, armed with Guns and machetes by Nobody: 12:27pm On Dec 09, 2011

The whole protest look very childish to me.

Sticks, machetes, and shotguns to challenge a faceless foe.

Carry go, boyz! It can only be by OPC.  grin grin grin

Boko Haram is already pissing in their pants at this fearful and overwhelming show of force.   grin grin grin grin
Bunch of ragtag clowns.

Re: OPC Marches Through Lagos, armed with Guns and machetes by Koolking(m): 1:20pm On Dec 09, 2011
This is indeed absurd and ludicrous. Can the OPC match matchets with Bombs and bozooka? For Christ sake, it is unthinkable for them to think they can stop these guys (Boko haram). Boko Haram is a terrorist group with sophisticated sponsors both internal and external. OPC is local fetish militia group. It is our so called politicians that can undo the activities of the Boko Haram.

The so called boko boys have remained faceless in their attack throwing bombs with nylon bag only to kill a little number of people.OPC approach is agoing to be a reprisal approach, all we need to do is to identify all hausa/fulanis settle in yorubaland and invade them.you dont need bombs to kill an identified enemy, just go on head-cutting spree !

Your solution is to attack innocent men and women whom happen to be Hausa/Fulani all because of Boko Haram?  What differentiate you from Boko Haram?

Igbos can easily do that in Onitsha and Aba for a start. Why do you think we haven't toed that line since?

your funny, what is the difference between throwing bombs from motorcycles with nylon bags as you say, and throwing bombs from jets with a tainted helmet? the damage is the same it is awful, you remember the poeple that killed bin laden were protected from giving there names let alone showing there faces. now can opc go ahead and kill northerners in lagos, wallahi we will see what happens

That is the point;to let those boko boys to realize that there is no monopoly when it comes to violence. Are those souterners being killed in the north not also innocent ? What makes a hausa life more valuable than a yoruba ?
