I'm a bit nervous cause I've been seeing other people's status as processed passport is on transit to... I applied on the 4th at Lekki so I'm also a bit shocked at the response time. I pray for good news

Yeah, since you paid for the courier service, it would be posted directly to you, I believe. People are getting visas after 4/5 working days, so no need to fret. Share your good news as soon as you receive it.

Guys it was a refus, they said I didn't have the required level of funds, that I had 3,000,001.48 which amounts to 11,670 at an exchange rate of 249.95, and dat I ought to have 11,700. 3,000,001.48 at an exchange rate of 249.95 is 12002.40, even if they had used 251 which I used, the money was still more than enough. There is room for review tho, maybe the blockhead that calculated it will realise his/her mistake cause I don't see myself paying over 80k again for this.

Pls, do i have to go to the embassy to submit the review notice? Is there any thing to be submitted with the notice

@Justwise,pls kindly respond to this question. My fiancee applied for tier4 student visa without requesting for a new Cas from his school. He used the same Cas he was refused with because he didn't know he was to request for a new Cas when he made application.

The school called him to forget about it because he would be refused again. We have been praying and fasting since then o.Today,he received his visa.God truely answers prayers.

My question is,would this Cas stand against him @point of entry?Pls respond

Sorry to hear about your refusal @jennyfar/ Your best bet is to re-apply because a review might not be fruitful. If you applied on september 4th, you needed to have had at least N3,007,710.00 in your account. This amount is based on oanda's currency conversion rate for september 4th 2013. Hope you understand my point?

Fill what you can fill in the form online, then complete it by hand on the print-out.

They stated in the refusal letter that they had used an exchange rate of 249.95, there is no way it will be over 3,000,001.48, my fee is 13,200. I paid 8700 leaving 4500 to be showed. 4500 + 7200 is 11,700. I was sure I did this calculation with several conversion rates before applying. The day I printed the oanda rate it was even at 251.57 so 3,000,001.48 at 251.57 is still 11925.11. They used 249.95 as exchange rate for 4th sept which is the day I did my interview which is 12002.40, so how did my funds fall below the 11,700?

@jennyfar The oanda currency converter keeps records of exchange rates of more than a year. Regardless of the 249.95 written on your letter, The exchange rate for september 4th was 257.07. Find attached the conversion of 11,700 for september 4 below.

Lastly, do you mind taking a snapshot of your refusal notice and placing here on nairaland?

Sure, there should be. If not, add an extra plain sheet.

I just did, thank you. Do I have to reapply with a new account statement if I pay the rest of the fees?

Dear Jennyfar, Its really sad to hear your application was refused. I am afraid the ECO is right. Though he should have just overlooked and consider the fact that its just a difference of about £30.

On Wednesday 4th of September you had N3,000,000 in your account.

According to Oanda conversion on that day, if you are selling £1, you will be paid N249.
If you want to buy £1, you pay N257.

Now with your N3,000,000 you can only purchase about £11,673 on 4th September.

Miracles are happening! An Entry Clearance Manager is usually in charge of Admin Review. Write a letter explaining the situation. You may be lucky by God's grace. In the meantime, email the refusal notice to your school immediately and seek an extension.
