this waiting is not easy o. i'm still complaining that its been 2 weeks and people who applied earlier are still waiting. One would think they should be faster now that its no more peak period...it is well

RAWR! Just got my visa today! Woah! I was beginning to trip. I didn't mention on here that I had acted on FAITH and bought ticket since monday. Lmao! Leaving tomorrow night, BA to heathrow via Madrid! Yah! :-D

Got my visa today y'all. Can't even name names mehn, y'all helped me one way or the other. In retrospect, dunno why I was unsure though, cos I had my 40 points and then some (easy for me to gloat now ).. Thanks a lot everyone... Really. May we all get the best of the 'UK experience' and oh yea distinction in our studies :-D

Sorry guys. Been away. Cousin applied 6th September at Abuja, visa was ready morning of 26th Sept. Exactly 15 working days.

His response is actually not insultive or anything like that. Nairaland aside, its on UKBA website so u can understand why one would wonder how come you didn't find it online seeing as you wanna go study and all.

@Donxavier,it would have been better if u had kept mute instead of revealing d ugly part of you.To put it mildy,that response of yours is just too bad.Atlantis already have a reward for d friendly response.Don't see anythin bad in lightening somebody else's lamp.it takes nothing away from us.You've been wonderful on this forum this term and I want to believe this is just a one-off.

If you applied for student visa and given 2yrs then the student visa will override the tourist visa.

Hi, i just applied for my Student visa extension which i may get for one year, now while my passport is away with my application, it might take a long time to return, till then, if i have to work part-time somewhere, i think i will need a visa or passport to show to the employer, but since the passport is away, can i show the employer any other document or what is the solution to this?

it reminds of someone who came on vicjustice's thread to ask simply what documents are needed to apply for the UK visa. This naija mentality of not wanting to do any research on our own is what is wrong with the nation.

20 working days...Bhc said they re still working on it but 'might' dispatch later 2day. If I don't get my passport tomorrow that means tuesday. Now am getting worried.

Tricky one for you, some employers will accept the acknowledge letter which UKBA sends when you apply for a visa, a copy of your passport, student ID and a letter from your school indicating that you are their student while some will insist that you present your passport and visa.

It really depend on the employer.
