Yeah Genny was good in Emerald, but I have to agree with Sisi on the lovemaking scenes she's been in, she looks mechanical. Nollywood actresses don't know how to seduce anyway. Genny is good acting the bossy female without coming across as overdoing it. But her sexual scenes are terrible.

"Commanding respect" as a newbie in the entertainment industry comes with a lot of consequences and risks.She will learn as time goes,hopefully she will be able to fully finance her next movie and thereby call all the shots

but the thing with movies based on african stories is just that there's a dearth of native quality african actors/actresses who are capable of playing lead roles or even supporting casts- so the producers go for trusted names.

blood diamonds - djimon hounsou is not even from sierra leone. he's from benin republic or so.
black hawk down - i doubt they used a single somalian in the movie even though the entire movie was based on the final days of their dictator.
last king of scotland - forrest whitaker is not remotely ugandan.
tears of the sun - same ish.
hotel rwanda - don cheadle isn't hutu/tutsi.
lord of war - nicholas cage has no affiliation with liberia.

i saw a clip once of ramsey noah in what was supposed to be a love scene.

the bed was moving and that's about it.

two logs of wood were somewhere on top of it, but i cant say for sure if they were moving the bed or the bed was moving them.

anyway, nothing spoil.

These people actually looked the part. Thandie doesn't from what I could gather from the book. Thandie's skinny figure is more like Olanna's twin sister, Kainene, although Kainene's much darker. Olanna was kind of voluptuous a bit.

J. K. Rowling has the financial muscle to fund all the series the Nigerian Author is not in the same category. Harry Potter is not a true life story. The main fact here is that Nollywood stars are not up to scratch!!! I could remember watching the "Mirror Boy" Genevieve was the mother of a Gambian boy! tell me if Gene is so GOOD why didnt she speak with a Gambian Ascent? I have watched so many version of Mandela played by Americans with Afrikaans ascent. I have seen Omotola act as a student, wife, house-girl and top official! she acted the same way, she spoke the same way in all  4 roles and its the same for the rest! eyes rolling looking down their nose at people, am sorry top actresses and actor do not act a role but they become the character of the person they are acting! There was a 4 year lapse between the first Harry potter book release (1997) and the first Harry Potter Movie (2001).

In that time the books already published were huge hits selling millions of copies. Kids books were not typically big time bestsellers then but she changed the game.

Oh yeah, she even begged and lived out of her suitcase her and her daughter, she approached so many publisher for her book they all said NO NO NO, but one decided to give it a go, Best decision ever made!!!!
