As much as I want to agree with you about giggs, the form of the other options is nothing to write home about. Maybe pa giggs can give us a better performance today. It is almost the same squad as the one that played liverpool in capital one cup and that was one of our best performance this season.

Kagawa was wonderful. His influence seemed 2 grow as d match progressed. N when he was moved into d hole. Mehn he was a joy to watch. Imagine him having a consistent run of games ... *sighs n smiles

Valencia also played very very well. He pressing was superb. He neva gave d sociedad players any sorta breathing space n won back lots of balls. He also attacked pretty well n would av gotten himself a goal but for a bit of badluck.

I also tot giggs was impressive.

Rooney had a solid but unspectacular game. Pass mark.

Dis center back pairing is our future.
I've always been a very big fan of evans and his patnership wit jones is superb. Dae r both confident on d ball n r quick with wonderful awareness. Its time for vida n rio 2 take d back seat n give way for d future.

Hernandez had little time on d ball but his runs in and around d box were good and he pressed well.

this was one of our better performances of the season albeit against a team in poor form. The defense was okay and not as disorganized as we have been seeing and there was far more movement and sharp passing in midfield and in attacking areas.
The rooney/kagawa combo showed some promise in the last 15 minutes, however when RVP comes back big decisions would have to be made.
IMO since RVP is nursing niggling injuries i would start kagawa behind rooney in the Stoke match with RVP on the bench JUST TO SEE IF THERE IS PROMISE IN THIS PARTNERSHIP.
And of course baba giggs woke up on the right side of the bed today

Important win but very wasteful performance. Happy with kagawa's performance but he really should have scored that chance. Rooney was also very wasteful. Happy Fellaini wasn't on the pitch and Giggs actually played well even though I didn't want to see him in the match. I really hope Kagawa starts a run of matches now.

just build the team round kagawa.
until kagawa cops injury or suspension, he should be the first name on the team sheet. rooney/RVP should take turns till they figure out their partnership.

another option is 3-4-1-2.
kagawa behind rooney + RVP and we sacrifice a defender. play evans + smalling + jones in the defence.
a 4 man midfield of valencia-cleverley-carrick-nani.
