Sir, you were not trading real time, that was your problem then.

I had similar challenge with investment -one stockbroker that made me opened account with morgancapital group , and since I started trading by myself real time in the floor of NSE , life has become so sweet, easy , profitable and fun.....just like Madam Ndidigood has said above.

Cheers!
Thanks

If you can manage to buy the building materials yourself from wholesalers and even coached the project yourself, you can build a similar house with same quality for 12 - 14m.

One more thing boss,I was developed interest in stock trading but due to some reasons I decided to quite.During my trading experience one of greatest challenges was selling the stock after the price has appreciated. After clicking on sell on the platform(I used Meritrade) ,a times it takes several days before being matched with a buyer. At times I would be forced to sell at market price which most of times resulted in lost or little profit. What could be the reason,is it that I went for stocks that were not easily liquidated? Or I wasn't patient enough for me to be matched with a buyer?

I think the issue with your stock is liquidity. You have to always look out for volumes traded in the particular stock you have in mind before buying it. If you buy illiquid stock, it will be difficult to exit such stock.

You just have to believe.
I spent 7M to build a bungalow in 2013; In the same 2013, it cost my younger brother 5M to build same.

What are friends for? Your friend saved you from stress and also saved your time. Paying a premium of N2million is not too much, for the sake of your friendship.
I am sure while your friend assisted you with the building of your house, the project provided a source of income to your friend and his family.

You are very right sir. To be honest with you, I have never looked at it from that angle. I paid too much attention to side talks. My friend deserves commendation.

You paid a premium of N2 million, if you are a very busy person who does not have the luxury of time and you know that the time and energy spent monitoring your building project, you can miss deals or businesses that will fetch you N5 million and above. The best bet is to pay the premium and face your core area of specialisation that will fetch you more than what you are planning to save.

Please which area in Lagos is this address located?
I was told FBNQuest office is in 16-18 Keffi Street, Off Awolowo Road in Ikoyi.
Please do they have any office in Ikeja?
I'll also like to know if there's FSDH Office in Ikeja as well.

Very true. Even my Mrs is feeling bad for tagging him a bad friend. She will be calling him next month to get her a piece of land. Thank you, elder. You just saved an almost dead friendship.

Just some months back some where criticizing buildings as bad investments as compared to treasury bills. Now that treasury bills is experiencing all time low interest rates , they won’t see it as vacancy rate as compared to building/rent. If I had abandoned my project by now all these cash flows coming in this January won’t have been possible. Would have been looking at the cash in the bank waiting for CBN policy to be reversed.

Treasury Bill, bonds, Eurobond, money market funds, real estate, personal business, stock market, jobs are all Investment vehicles and none is superior to the other because they serve different purposes.

To move from point A to B, we have bicycles, motor bikes, cars, truck, lorry, boat, trailer, train, aeroplane, ship. What will determine our mode of transportation from point A to point B is the distance, terrain, sizes of our luggage etc. None of the vehicles is better than the other because they have different purposes, their suitability is determined by circumstantial variables.

Same with the various Investments and asset classes.

Wow, I want to say a big thank you to all the contributors here, so much too learn. God bless you all richly in Jesus name Amen.

Well I have decided to try mmf using fbn quest since tb is too low, now here are my questions:
a1. Will my capital be preserved just like tb?
2. What are the tenure(tb has 30d, 60days etc)
3. Can I pull out my funds anytime it matures
4. Any charges?
5. Pls fbn quest mmf office in Abuja.

b. Now for fg savings bonds what is the minimum tenure?
2. Can I get it at any commercial bank?
3. Wht are the rates now?

For someone who is learning stock and decides to buy 50k of( E.g uacn or Access), is the person
a share holder or what is the difference.

C. What is FSDH?

Thanks a million folds in anticipation for the reply.

Noted,

First, I have some shares which was bought about 15yeara ago from a particular financial institution, what are the steps to take to get to know much the shares are worth.

Please sorry for late response.

Sir, I hope the financial institution is still functional.

If you bought the stock from IPO, then dematerilize the shares via your stockbroker. ...they will advise you further.

The prices of shares are in nse.com.ng website, which you can Google and calculate it base on the number of units you have.

I asked a similar question here, but no one responded, I had to go do some research on my own in the Mutual Fund Thread, after reading from page 1 - 70 here are my finding

You capital is not preserved like TB, in the event that the Fund Managers go down, your fund goes with them
Most have a Tenure of 3 months
You can pull out your funds on Maturity
They charge around 1.8%
I dont know the answer the No 5, a quick Google search will help

FGN Bonds is a minimum of 2 years
You can get at Commercial Banks
Rate are b/w 7 - 8%

Best Regards
