Fayose is '19', if you lived in Ibadan SW (Orita challenge/Ring road) in the 90s, you will know him. BTW, only his Ekiti gullibles can fall for this cheap scam. We all can cook up stories, if each of us start to upload conferences and trade fairs we've attended in different countries over many years . |
gare:Read thru the thread, your concerns have been answered. BTW, it's a very good time to export all our cocoa and other agric and mineral resources to China -- it's a 'verrrrry larrge' market! |
IVORY2009:And all those brands you just mentioned are made in China, or Vietnam. BTW, the whole world buys from China these days. And yes, China has come of age. |
This is one of the saddest things to happen to this country, but we only carry placards protesting symptoms (fuel scarcity, minimum wage and e.t.c.), whereas, this is the 'genesis', or root-cause of those ills if you will! And those faces you see in the senate/house of reps, are the real faces of evil -- not some witches/wizards in the village, or mama Nkechi/Bola/Amina next door. Those lawmen have the powers to answer those prosperity prayers you get scammed for at our respective places of worship, but no, they choose to enslave and impoverish the people -- ruin their futures and their children's along with. If they can get 2/3rds vote, then they can do anything here-on, they can unseat the same president you voted, and install themselves -- take over the country. Who be-witched us with this kind of apathetic attitude? |
Fayose going all the way to China same time the FG was in the middle of a deal, to say those words, is an act of sabotage against Nigeria -- regardless of if he his right or wrong. Ekiti is nothing near to a model state -- actually one of the states doing most poorly, so what is his leverage? |

Firefire:You know, if Americans were told in 1970, that over half of their Made in U.S.A. will become Made in China, and that, they will be losing their jobs to China and borrowing money from China, they wouldn't have believed. Almost all major American companies now produce from China! Every major company in the world manufactures from China -- almost! To get there, China: 1. They killed/jailed their corrupt leaders. 2. Installed less corrupt ones (no one is a saint). 3. They learnt/stole from the best. 4. They created an enabling environment. 5. They worked very hard and focused!!! And the rest is history -- we've got to replicate that -- starting from number 1. |

Just so we set some things straight for the naysayers: 1. If we have xbillion amount of dollars in our reserves, it does not literally mean it's all in US dollars. 2. Even from before, we did keep some Yuan in our 'basket of currencies'. 3. We keep other currencies like GBP, Euro and some few other currencies, and gold too, they are all part of the 'reserves'. 4. We are only increasing our Yuan reserves, and trading directly, rather than going via the $ route (which is a better thing for our economy, considering we have a huge trade volume to and from China . . . times are changing, it's not like the 70s,80s, or 90s . . . the world's trade and ours from then has greatly changed. We can't be applying the monetary policies of 30 years ago in a fast evolving world -- we've gotta evolve with it). 5. China is fast becoming the country with the most investments in Africa, with Nigeria one of it's favourite destination. 6. ATM, the dollar is too strong for it's own good, and the US is worried about that too -- they'r slowly feeling the effect. 7. With the huge trade volume between both countries, it's actually stark insanity NOT to do what PMB just did with China. 8. China's loan rates are one of the cheapest in the world -- every one is borrowing from them -- the UK owes them BILLIONS ($), the US borrowed TRILLIONS ($) from them! 9. China's investment in Africa and Nigeria is estimated to triple in few years. 10 Having a good chunk of our reserves in Yuan, with the amount of imports from there, would help ease the pressure between the Naira and the dollar. For those who worry about local manufacturing and diversification of the economy, the deal with China as regards major projects such as the 4,000 MW power plant amongst other alternative power solutions, and railway, and refineries, are just the ingredients you need to diversify. ATEOTD, it is more about policies/laws, leadership and accountability, and if we get it right even them Chinese factories we buy from, will relocate here. |
Joel3:Don't name-call people when you are not properly armed with facts yourself. 1. China buys our oil, and they are just about to increase volume. 2. China keeps investing hundred of billions of Yuan in Africa, with Nigeria being one of it's biggest beneficiaries. 3. The newly signed MOUs guarantee more inflow of Yuan into the economy. |
3 pages so far, and not one single valid reason why this deal shouldn't have been struck, yet, all the naysayers are so full of their beliefs. You've gotta love the human mind. |
kayfra:1. Do you know that if we have xbillion amount of dollars in our reserves, does not literally mean it's all in US dollars? 2. kayfra:That's a policy/leadership thing. It's not like a stronger Yuan will automatically translate into us doing the right thing either. The government needs to put in place proper infrastructure, stable electricity, working refineries, amiable investment policies/laws and general support -- even the Chinese would leave China to come and establish their factories here! |
Lagos is a 'mini Nigeria'. These figures should be on a scrolling screen in both 'houses', so that when those politicians from states contributing so little ('I no mention anybody o') are demanding and sharing so much for themselves they can quickly be referred to reality. If Lagos wants railway, airport, seaport, 'anyport', anything -- you give it. Them Lagos, Delta, Ogun, Rivers, Enugu, Edo, Anambra senators and hons shouldn't be there, where some Kwaran, Zamfaran, Sokoto, Katsina, Gombe, Nassarawan senators or Hons. are presiding, sharing, and lording things over the same guys putting in the hard work -- IGR is basically smart thinking and hard work. |
1. NOI is just re-affirming the same thing OBJ said about NOI needing proper handling and leadership. 2. NOI trying to save face by subliminally throwing GEJ under the bus; a la, I did well under OBJ, I couldn't have turned bad overnight . . . blame my boss who lacked the political will to do the right thing. 3. The Governors were not elected to lead this great country -- the buck stops with Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, just as it presently does with PMB. 4. Imagine PMB or Kemi Adeosun trying to blame Fayose and some errant governors for PMB's failures . . . would you listen to them? 5. BTW, most of them governors were PDP members at the time. |
Wonders shall never end! NOI doing what she knows how to do best. Oga Jona, you see your life . . . everyone's throwing you under the bus. |
A reflection of the populace at large. |
uduak2016:What happened to reading before commenting? "President Muhammadu Buhari in his magnanimity on March 31, 2016 approved for us the right to fly to five different countries and we decided now to make Enugu State the hub," he said. Onyema said Air Peace would fly to India, United Arab Emirates, South Africa, Atlanta in the U.S. and China, adding that the China flight would commence in a few months. |
gfullmoon:LOL |
gfullmoon:I have a question: if there is enough evidence against Saraki, what would happen if he is arrested by the EFCC? |
BeardedMeat:Oh, I'm so scareeeeed Mr. 'Cry-baby-oik' -- It depletes my income! Which of them 'BeardedMeats' are you? Ewu? ![]() |
BeardedMeat:Another e-rat, next thing you'd be running to some c0ck-eyed mods like some deprived cry baby. |
It's a shame some people DO NOT understand the gravity of what the Saraki led senate is trying to do. Is one man, or some group of self-serving criminals worth plunging our future and kids future into a sink hole for? |
He just embarrassed himself. Attention seeking turned loco. |

? I bet you don't know. Swerve abeg!
