While I love the Avalon especially in Nigeria because it is not common, Lexus is Toyota's luxury arm so while the Avalon is Toyota's flagship sedan the GS is still more luxurious.

That being said I personally would get the Avalon because too many people own a GS and I like to be different.

Not the 2013 GS350. The 2013 Avalon is currently more common than the 2013 GS350. I've personally bought 2 units of 2013 Avalon for clients in the last 2 months alone.
In a day I can count 4x 2013 avalons before I see one 2013 gs350

2013 Avalon
2013 Lexus gs350

I have a sweet low mileage 2013 Lexus gs350 for sale. It's reliable and more luxurious than the Avalon.

The GS is superior by far. But also quite a bit more expensive to own.

The major mechanical difference between the two is that the gs350 is an awd while the Avalon is fwd. Other than that, the mechanical difference is not too much.

Not so true. My cars (advertised on Nairaland) are always cheaper than jiji prices.

Resellers or middle men advertise my cars with eye popping margins on jiji.
Example. I sold a toks 2010 Lexus gx460 around Feb this year. The middlemen (2 of then this time) added 1m to the price I eventually sold the car. 1 whole million. When I saw their adverts on jiji, I just smiled.
Same is happening to other cars I have for sale presently.

Anyway that is my own reliability rating.
I have never use the MDX before.
I learnt they are complex, fast and full of many troubles.
The only issue I have with Benz ML350 is
1. Leg or Arm
2. You can’t drive it through water or flood unlike conventional Toyota and Lexus. I mean people say park your Benz during raining season otherwise you go hear am.
Anyways me Dey jejely enjoy my Tokunbo 2009 Benz ml350. I no Dey enter gallop anyhow.

Unfortunately or fortunately, yes. Car websites rank it higher than the ml350 in terms of reliability.
